About this property

Chalet-apartment with internet access near slopes; ideal for skiers and walkers

'Stunning location...quiet but close enough to everywhere else as/when you needed it...spotlessly clean and well-equipped - and the most wonderful of views'. These are comments from a renter who enjoyed his stay in our flat which is within walking distance of the ski-lifts and the best nursery and intermediate slopes in Chamonix.

Argentière which has some of the best piste and off-piste skiing in the world is 5 minutes down the road, although many find the Le Tour slopes all they need for a week. Argentière also has a number of good restaurants and shops. The whole area is teeming with activities, both in summer and winter; a walker's paradise, ideal for family holidays and for those who just want to relax in a calm and peaceful atmosphere.

May and June are great months to visit when the mountain flowers are appearing. Le Tour is also very well placed for visiting Switzerland (10 mins), Italy (30 mins), and Annecy and Geneva (1 hour). Lock-up garage and plenty of outside parking.


Le Tour has more sunshine than any other part of the valley. Summer activities in Chamonix include summer-tobogganing, canyoning, white-water rafting, ice-climbing, mountain biking, and adventure trails up in the trees; and sometimes you can't see the sky for the parachutists. Take the train to visit the inside of the glacier, or from Le Fayet to the nearest you can be transported to the summit of Mont Blanc. Chamonix is the European centre for mountaineering and has a very good climbing school. In the winter the skiing is famed world wide and the area has over 600 kms of pistes and 200 lifts. Argentière has some of the best off-piste skiing in Europe. Le Tour has excellent nursery slopes and good intermediate skiing for the whole family.

Tranquility in the Chamonix Valley

Lovely homely property with really comfy beds and two bathrooms which made it perfect for a family ski trip. Garage was a bonus as we watched others struggle to clear snow from their cars. Would recommend this property and hope to return.

Another fantastic half-term in Le Tour

We didn't lack anything. The apartment is exactly as described and pretty much perfect for a family or two/three couples and the location just couldn't be better. Walking distance to Charamilion, very close to shops in Argentiere and Grand Montets, safe, quiet and away from hustle and bustle of the centre of Chamonix. Laura is a wonderful and very helpful host. We hope to keep on returning on regular basis!

Wonderful!

The above description doesn't do this place and location justice - it was everything we could have asked for. Location was stunning, village was quiet but close enough to everywhere else as/when you needed it and you could walk to the slopes. We drove from Geneva airport, which even late at night and in snowy weather was a straigthforward and reasonably effortless trip. Apartment was spotlessly clean and well equipped - and the most wonderful of views. Customer service by the owner and the local representative were excellent - even when we brougth their garage door bleeper home with us :-( Thoroughly recommend this lovely apartment and location.

Cosy chalet in a charming village

We loved Le Tour: away from the hustle and bustle; quaint little village with little modern development and everything kept in keeping with the old style. Not having a grocery shop to hand was a small price to pay for enjoying the peace and quiet once all the skiers caught the bus home. And no having to queue and cram into buses for us: the slopes were right on our doorstep!As for the chalet, it was warm and cosy. I wouldn't call it polished and it is dated - although the owners have clearly updated bits of it here and there - but it was very good value and perfect for us.Would highly recommend!

a great property

This is a really great property - ideally located for families and groups of all ski abilities. It's within an easy walking distance of the nursery slope and the gondolas of Le Tour (and easy to walk back for lunch if you want/are tired and need to rest) It's easier than driving to Le Tour and struggling to find a parking spot! Argentiere, Chamonix and even Italy are totally within driving distance (mont blanc tunnel - bring your passport just in case!). I can't think of a downside really. We have stayed here two years in a row and loved it both times. It is clean, quiet, well laid out and great location. If you don't have a hire car - during the day the bus stop is also nearby and allows for easy access to Chamonix etc. For a relaxing night in - the kitchen is well appointed for some home-cooking! Oh and the views from the balcony are breathtaking! If you are thinking of coming to the Chamonix valley - this property is one of the best (and value for money too)

Appartement particulièrement agréable

L'appartement est très bien aménagé, tout y est. On se sent immédiatement comme chez soi. L'atmosphère transmise par la famille des propriétaires est vraiment très chaleureuse, décoration, photos, petits objets, que des choses qui font qu'on se sent bien. Le garage est très utile pour entreposer les skis et d'autres choses, il sert aussi de cave pour conserver des fruits par exemple. La bouteille de vin sur la table est une charmante attention d'accueil. L'appartement est au sein du charmant village de Le Tour, qu'il faut découvrir à pied avec ses vieilles bâtisses, petits ruelles pleines de charme. La station de ski est très proche, quelques minutes à pied. Vacances idéales. Merci.

Séjour idéal dans un cadre très tranquille

C'est toujours un plaisir de se retrouver dans cet appartement très au calme et très chaleureux. La vie y est très facile et agréable, même s'il faut aller à Argentière faire ses courses. Seul petit bémol : il ne faut pas être trop grand !! mais ce n'est qu'un détail...

Een prachtige appartement, knus en van alles voorzien. Dichtbij de pistes en lift, helemaal top. We moesten wel de berg op om te kunnen skiën maar dat was geen bezwaar. We hebben het super gehad!

Séjour très agréable dans un appartement fonctionnel, facile à vivre et très calme.

L'appartement/chalet est très bien situé, au calme, avec une jolie vue sur les Aiguilles Rouges. L'agencement en est très bien conçu : le séjour au rez de chaussée s'avère chaleureux et très fonctionnel, le coin cuisine regroupant toutes les fonctionnalités de manière très astucieuse et pratique. La literie est nickel. Il y a par ailleurs de l'espace de rangement sous l'escalier bien utile et des toilettes aux deux niveaux. La buanderie est un plus car les laveries automatiques sont sur Argentière. Bref on se sent très à l'aise et chaudement accueilli: le propriétaire a beaucoup soigné la personnalité de son appartement et c'est très agréable. Le calme du Tour est très appréciable : on entend les clarines des vaches dans les prés dans le lointain le matin... Les sentiers sont au pied du chalet. On peut oublier la voiture dans son box. Le seul bémol (qui ne nous concernait pas, puisque nous étions au plus 5) serait le premier étage dans lequel il ne faut pas être trop grand (parfait pour 5 adultes de taille normale+ un enfant/ado), mais ce n'est pas trop pénalisant car le séjour et le vrai balcon sont des lieux de convivialité avec de l'espace et très réussis.

appartement agréable, belle vue et proche des pistes du Tour

L'appartement est très bien équipé et fonctionnel, idéal à 5 (6 un peu moins facile autour de la table). L'appartement a une très belle vue sur les aiguilles rouges. Le hameau du tour est très joli, en haut de vallée,. C'est là qu'il y a le plus de neige fin février. Les télécabines du Tour sont à 400 m à pied. En revanche c'est assez loin de Chamonix centre (35 mn en bus). Les courses les plus proches sont à Argentière à 5mn en bus.

Très bon séjour

Appartement clair et bien orienté. Très Belle vue sur les montagnes. Retour possible skis aux pieds! Remontées mécaniques à proximité. Le hameau du Tour est vraiment charmant et bien enneigé. Seul défaut : pas de commerce accessible à pieds. L’appartement est très agréable à vivre et bien équipé. Seul petit point d’attention: les 2 chambres du haut sont très mansardées, donc plus adaptées à des enfants. Le gérant Mr Hart est charmant et il parle bien Français. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour.

Superbe appartement, confortable et agréable

L'appartement de M. Hart est parfait. Il est très confortable, très bien équipé, et superbement décoré. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les deux salles de bain, la terrasse, le garage. On trouve tout sur place, produits d'entretien, base d'épicerie. Le village du Tour est très bien situé, en haut de la vallée de Chamonix, avec des vues superbes sur le Mont Blanc et sur le glacier du Tour. Les pistes sont familiales, assez faciles tout en offrant une grande diversité et des possibilités très larges. Le système de bus très fréquent permet de joindre tous les autres sites de la vallée très rapidement et gratuitement : les pistes des Grands Montets, de Chamonix, des Houches, etc.

We enjoyed our stay. The property is relatively well maintained, the main bathroom needs some renovation and removal of mold. We were surprised by the fact that we had to pay for renting bed linen and bath towels. These are usually provided with the accommodation. The bedrooms are on the small side, so this property is ideal for one couple, or for a family with young children.

Good value-for-money stay at great ski slopes.

Cosy 3 bedroom apartment, nice south facing balcony for lunch time breaks from the slopes and a lovely fireplace for evening ambiance. Spacious garage gives storage for skis. You can ski-in from Le Tour slopes, but need to walk back up to the lift (5 min). Free Chamonix buses take you to more challenging slopes in Argentiere or in Chamonix every 10 minutes.

Perfect apartment for families / groups
