We loved our month stay at the Prager Bay view! First off, the home is on the older side and could use some updates. The dock was missing boards and it didn’t seem like there wasn’t an operable sink for cleaning fish, but we didn’t fish, so it wasn’t important us. What we loved was the beautiful pool and yard, expansive deck, and canal view. The home was comfortable and clean when we arrived. The a/c worked great and the beds were comfortable . We will definitely be back!

Great place to bring your kids to play in the pool. The neighborhood is great with access to a fun park for the kids. Fishing here with your family is a blast. The only bad thing is the smell of mold in the home. But over all it was clean and beds felt comfortable.

We loved this property! Great location, very clean and cozy. Perfect for our family vacation. Easy to access and quiet area. House has everything you need except a crock pot. I had forgotten mine. Would definitely stay here again.

Could be updated. Built in 1980. Is that how old the frig is?? Sure looks like it! Instructions were not clear regarding lock box for first floor. And could not lock entrance door on second floor when leaving. It was a dead bolt!

Absolutely loved the house, the pool was amazing. Fishing was hit and miss off the dock. Will definitely be back again.

Friendly Get-together

Spent the weekend at this property with some friends that I grew up with. The place was clean and the property management team was very responsive. The only negative I could see was that some of the lights at the dock were not working which made fishing a little more difficult in the evening given how early it gets dark this time of year, but overall it was a great stay

The stay was good. We had a few issues. The underwater lights were not working. The AC did turn off at one point and it was 79 in the house but the rental company sent someone out to fix it pretty quickly. We also had a moment of the water shutting off but is ended up coming back on and no one came to check on it. The kitchen was very nicely stocked with appliances, dishes, and cooking supplies. The breeze was wonderful. The pool was clean. They also had the pool guy come out during our stay, I wish we would have known about this but it was not a big deal. Overall we had a great time.

Beautiful views! Big sided beautiful sided fenced yard

This is a cozy and beautiful views house with a fun big green grass sided fenced yard, with a pool and access to water. Kids enjoyed canoing while also having access to the beach within 10 minutes! We had a great Easter!

Beautiful location

House was perfect for our mini vacation! Had everything we needed... The lot the house sits on is huge and spacious... Our pup loved it! The pool was awesome and most enjoyable... The only negative (to no fault of the owners) was the mosquitos... They were terrible... Being outside after dusk was unbearable... Overall we would stay here again!

This was a bay fishing trip that I booked for my husbands birthday..We are a fishing family. I booked this house specifically for the location and Underwater Night Glow fishing lights, that is listed in the description of the property. When we arrived at the property those lights didnt exist. They were Not there. I contacted property management right away by text and left a message. So I booked and paid for a vacation home that listed the amenities I wanted and when we got there..I was completely disappointed and very upset. I reached out to the property management company by text...sent photos of property description. Im interested to see How they plan to resolve this issue. Yes, the house was clean, comfortable and private pool refreshing. But missing what I paid for.

Thanksgiving getaway

Pros : Good area, good fishing, awesome view, great pool, fenced side yard is good especially if you have a pet, good pots and pans in the kitchen....we had every thing we needed to make thanksgiving lunch....really enjoyed the time there P.S every house has its flaws just some more than others here are the cons Cons: really bad smell in the bottom bed room, outside furniture needs updating, found a couple of roaches in the kitchen, also renting straight through ryson Rentals will save you about 200 dollars

Great location.Great Yard. We spent very little time inside the house because the weather was so nice out.We didnt cook or do laundy but it looked like it was well stocked with all you might need.There is a nice area at ground level with a bed and bathroom but we didnt need that area.Being on the main canal is the best. Will do it again!

Jamaica Beach Home

The house was very nice. Our family enjoyed are stay. The only down fall was that the bedroom downstairs had a really bad odor. It smelt like mold or pesticide. No one wanted to stay in that room. But we made it work by opening the windows and placed a plug in and sprayed room deodorizer. Overall it was great!

Family friendly and clean ❤

We rented Prager Bay and really enjoyed our experience. We came with my in-laws, our 2 little girls and 2 dogs, so the fenced in yard was perfect. We spent many nights fishing but mostly caught sand trout and catfish. This home came with everything we needed and was very clean. There was even board games for the kids and books for the adults, even though I didn't get the chance to read any I am a huge lover of books and loved that I had options. The location was just right, being away from all the crowds in Galveston but close enough we could go there any time we wanted. And having the beach right across the street from the community was perfect. Thank you so much Bill and Susan for sharing your home with us!

As advertised

Based on the location and the knowledge of the area the house was as expected. The price point was on par with the current market but based on the house itself seemed a little expensive. The house is nice, and we had a great time. We brought our boat, and tied it up outside the dock. Please note that the Jamaica Beach community requires a permit to utilize their boat launch and the patrol officer that verifies permits is not the nicest of people; we had to drive to neighboring Pirates Beach to launch which was an inconvenience.

The property was located on a corner and there is a huge fenced in yard next to it. Plenty of room!

The house is really cozy and friendly. You feel at home when you walk in. The living, dining and kitchen all have views to the canal and bay since the house is located by the exit to Galveston Bay. The deck is huge and it’s view is perfect. It was too windy and cold to fish but it has a perfect set up for that. The fishing lights at night were so tempting to battle the cold but it really was cold...in the 30’s. Our Cocker Spainiels loved all the room to run in the fenced in yard. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook. I enjoy cooking and I never needed for anything, which is priceless when you enjoy being in the kitchen preparing meals! The bed was really comfortable. But the piece of furniture that sealed the deal was the double recliner! You don’t see these much anymore but wow, what a treasure!! Nothing better than a hot cup of coffee in the morning with your feet kicked up watching the morning news show before you start your day. We loved the house and we look forward to another stay soon!

Great spot for relaxing/swimming/fishing. All amenities needed in a home on the water; easy and quick access to beach. Quiet neighborhood, plenty of yard for our dog.
