As you step inside, you'll be greeted by a cozy living room, where you can unwind and enjoy the smart TV. The fully stocked kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, Keurig, and toaster, allowing you to prepare delicious meals during your stay. Savor your meals at the dining table, surrounded by the cabin's rustic charm.

Venture outside and take in the peaceful mountain air from the porch, or gather around the fire pit for a memorable evening under the stars. Explore the nearby Blackwater Falls and Swallow Falls State Park, both just a 30-minute drive away, for breathtaking natural wonders.

With free WiFi, air conditioning, heating, and essential amenities like a bathroom, shower, towels, and a hair dryer, this cabin ensures your stay is both comfortable and convenient. We went for a nice fall getaway which was perfect in this warm clean cabin. We couldn’t have had a better time. The fall decor was such a nice touch. It had all the essentials you need and we would definitely recommend!!

We had a great stay at the cabin! Within a short drive of many beautiful parks. Right off of the main road, but still tucked into the woods, and the creek behind was beautiful. Plenty of space for the dog to roam and a nice pet necessities basket on site. Very well, equipped kitchen everything down to a crockpot! Very clean and we will certainly be looking to come back in the future.

Cozy Cabin Retreat in the Woods

Peaceful and well appointed cabin. Very clean and great attention to detail. Close to many state parks and restaurants as well as a couple of quaint little towns. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Perfect getaway

My family and I stayed here for the weekend and we had a great time! The place is clean, comfortable and exactly what we were looking for. The area surrounding the cabin was great to explore with our young daughter and the next to firepit was a perfect place to relax. I highly recommend!

Mountain Vacation

We spent a week at the cabin. The cabin is conveniently located near small towns and state parks that offer family friendly activities. Allowing pets was a huge plus for us and the deciding factor for choosing this rental. The cabin has a nice outdoor space with plenty of room for campfires and spending time outside. The cabin was clean and the bathroom and kitchen contained everything for need for cooking and bathing. We are glad we chose this property for our mountain vacation!

This our family's 3rd summer here! We love the peaceful setting for our 2 teens to unplug, and our 2 dogs to roam free. Not to mention the quiet mornings listening to the creek drinking coffee and the nights sitting around the fire. We were surprised to see there is another cabin going up! Not sure what the plans are, but we've always talked about how amazing it would be if our other family members could come too!!! Can't wait for next summer!!! The hosts always make sure everything is perfect!

This cabin was amazing, it was clean, charming and the property is beautiful! The host had a welcome sign and a bottle of wine to help celebrate my 60th! We were able to take our Pit Bull with us and he loved it too!

Cozy Getaway

The stay was amazing. The pictures do not do the place justice. Very cute, cozy cabin with great views. The check in process and check out process was very easy. The owners stay in contact with you throughout the stay. Would totally recommend. We look forward to staying here again.

Great property

We loved this little cabin. It was really well thought out and even decorated for the season. There were a lot of nice details. The property is beautiful. We loved the fire pit! All of the communication with the owners before, during, and after was fantastic. We highly recommend this property if you are looking for a cozy little spot in the area.

Perfect!

This is such a charming place. Well stocked. There's a creek and woods to explore with a fire pit, which we used every night. We spent most of our time at the cabin because we loved it so much. Perfect place to go for some peace and relaxation. Very pet friendy.

Perfect getaway

We would give this place 6 stars if we could. Amazing spot, close to all we wanted to do with hiking, off-roading, and great spots in Davis and Thomas. They even have a little basket with stuff for your pups which just made us really appreciate the thoughtfulness.The property is AMAZING! Creek, natural space, just awesome. They even have bundles of wood on site for 5 that made it convenient for fires at night.We’re going to be making at least and annual trip here moving forward. Loved everything about it.

Great Stay!

My husband and I took our son here for our first family trip. The cabin was very cozy and decorated for fall. We loved it. We appreciated the kitchenware and were able to cook dinners while we were there. We loved the outdoor portion of the property. It was much larger than we expected. We also enjoyed using both of the fire pits while we were there. Overall, we had a great stay and hope to return again in the future.

We chose this area because it truly captures the best of what West Virginia has to offer—peace, natural beauty, and easy access to outdoor adventure. Nestled along a beautiful creek and surrounded by woods, it provides the kind of quiet setting that’s getting harder to find.

At the same time, it’s perfectly located near some of the region’s top destinations. Within a short drive, you can explore Blackwater Falls State Park and Canaan Valley Resort State Park, or cross into Maryland to visit Swallow Falls State Park and Herrington Manor State Park. Whether it’s hiking, biking, skiing, tubing, or rafting, there’s no shortage of things to do nearby.

We also love being close to the small mountain towns of Thomas and Davis, where you’ll find great food, local shops, and live music—just enough activity without losing that laid-back feel.

One of the biggest reasons we chose this location is its proximity to Cathedral State Park, just about a minute away. This incredible old-growth forest offers a rare glimpse into untouched natural beauty, with towering hemlocks, peaceful trails, and a truly unique atmosphere.

For us, this area offers the perfect balance—quiet and secluded, yet close to everything that makes this region special.
