Gulf Front - Spectacular Views! Watch Dolphins from the Balcony!

Come and relax at our beautiful three bedroom, three bath oceanfront condominium on Okaloosa Island. Okaloosa Island is just five miles from the heart of Destin, Florida and has the same beautiful sugary white beaches that have made this area of Florida a favorite vacation destination of people from all over the world for decades. We are located close to shopping, restaurants and all of the local attractions, but away from the heavy traffic and crowded beaches.

Our unit is located on the third floor of the Island Princess complex, which was built in 1999 and first occupied in 2000. We have a king-size bed in the master bedroom, a queen-size bed in the second bedroom and two twin beds in the third bedroom. A queen sofa bed is also available for additional sleeping accommodations. Each bedroom has a flat panel television and a private bathroom. The master bedroom and the queen bedroom are equipped with a DVD player and there is a 40" flat panel HD television with a DVD player in the living room. Don't forget to bring your laptop computer to take advantage of our complimentary high speed internet access. You can stay connected through e-mail and enjoy surfing the internet during your stay at the beach.

We strive to make your stay as care free and enjoyable as possible. Each rental from April through October includes a complimentary beach setup each day during your stay. The beach setup includes an umbrella and two chairs. You will also receive the use for one hour per day of EITHER a paddle board OR a kayak.

Enjoy a seasonally heated pool, a reserved, covered parking space, an exercise room and endless views from the private balcony that overlooks the beautiful emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The unit is tastefully decorated and is furnished to satisfy all of your needs and desires during your stay at the beach.

Bring the whole family and relax for a wonderful vacation at the Island Princess on Okaloosa Island. You will feel as if you have spent the week on 'Easy Street.'

Descent condo

The condo has plenty of space. We didn’t find as many conveniences as other condos at Island Princess however the owner offered to reimburse us for items to make us happy. There were a few issues when we arrived and they were corrected promptly. I would stay in this condo again.

I was very disappointed with the plumbing. We informed the maintenance office upon arrival about the toilets constant running and overflowing in all bathrooms. They tried to fix running toilet but only stopped for an hour. Didnt seem to care abt overflow issue. Problem seemed to be in main pipes not the condo. Bathroom shower door handles broken.

It could be so much better

The top of the fridge hasn’t been cleaned in a while. The kitchen sink was leaking into the unit below us so maintenance had to come twice to fix it.master suite was hot compared to the rest of the unit. The door handle fell off the sliding glass door. Carpet was “crunchy “. The rug in front of the kitchen sink was in raveling. All Ceiling fans need cleaning or replaced. We’ve been coming to Destin/Ft Walton for 20 years. This is the first time I’ve had to write a review like this. The expense to value wasn’t there this time.

Loved it!

Had a wonderful time. The room was great and we loved the pool and hot tub. Close enough to dining and activities. The check in was not the best but it worked out. We were told in email to stop by legacy vacations when checking in and we did at 330 and the guy there said you did not need to come by here because you will get a text and he confirmed our number to make sure we did and we did at 4 pm we had got there early to use the pool so that was kinda not fun to go o we there and leave the pool and beach when we didn’t have to. Loved the layout 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and was clean and roomy. Hopefully we can stay here again.

Very nice place on the beach

Loved this property. It was clean and on the beach. Easy access to restaurants and fresh seafood to eat in when we wanted to. Kitchen and towels were well stocked.

Family vacation

Most everything was wonderful. I gave the cleaning 4 stars because some of the areas were just “meh” but not disgusting or even gross, just could have improved. We could not have been more happy overall with everything. Everything was close and convenient, from Publix and the package store, to restaurants and souvenirs. A 5 minute drive to The Boardwalk. The view from the balcony was spectacular. We were able to watch dolphins early in the morning before full sun covered the beach, as well as sit and admire the sunset while the waves crashed at the close of the day. Dishes/pans/pots were well stocked. Trash chute conveniently right outside the condo front door. Things we learned during the trip: 1) there are carts to help bring luggage to and from the room. They should be located on the 1st floor in the covered parking. We parked on the 2nd floor because we had 2 vehicles and wanted to park next to each other for unloading and safety. (When we did unload everything and decide to park in our designated spot, someone else was using it, so , oh well. We were just fine parking on the 2nd floor.) 2) there is a “donation” or “share” box outside the pool area. We bought my youngest a shovel and pail, but were also able to borrow some sand molds from said box. Great idea for people who either forget beach accessories or have no need for them otherwise but don’t want to trash them. To reiterate: a great condo for family, friends, couples. Would love to stay again.

Great getaway!

We had a fabulous stay! Plenty of room for our family! Amazing view! Balcony is a bit smaller than I thought but we still had room to watch the dolphins in the morning while drinking our coffee! The Island wasn’t as crowded as Destin which was nice! But still close enough to lots of shopping and restaurants! It was clean but could use a good “deep” clean. Nothing that would keep us from coming back! Would definitely stay again!

Girls Trip

The location is great, right on the beach with a short walk to the chair set ups. Although my first trip to Ft Walton, my family has travelled to the 30A beaches for years and this was the first time our chair set up moved daily, which was kind of irritating. We had to stop and ask the crew where they put us each morning when we went down. Internet was unreliable and when we reported an outage on Sunday we were told “just pick the strongest signal if your unit isn’t working”. Our unit had cable but internet would not support streaming and rarely allowed sharing photos or surfing net in the evenings. Our unit was clean except for large mold spot on ceiling of one bathroom (we reported so they could address between occupants) but the living room furniture has seen better days - comfortable but needs thorough upholstery cleaning! Well stocked with cookware & dishes including a blender & crockpot but we had to go buy a can opener. Overall would stay at property again but perhaps in a unit that has been updated more recently.

Girls Getaway

We enjoyed our girls trip to Fort Walton! The view of the beach and the ocean was amazing. Everything was clean and comfortable. We loved having the two beach chairs available to us each day. Our only complaint was that the elevators by our room weren't working and on the day we were leaving the main elevator was stuck on the 7th floor. We had to bring all of our luggage down one floor to pack up.

Nice condo Great area

Overall condo experience was just as we expected. Condo had plenty of room for our group. All beds were comfortable, plenty of appliances and kitchen supplies. Nice balcony High Chairs to be able to easily see over the rail without distractions. This was our first visit to the Fort Walton area and everyone enjoyed the stay. Only thing we would state as a "suggestion or awareness" for others was about the beach chairs. There was some confusion not only by our group but some others was how to "reserve" the chairs and umbrellas. The beach attendant wasn't very clear and honestly I didn't think he was real "personable" for the job. Not that he was rude. Just seemed a little put out at at times answering questions (this was discussed by several people on thI first day) also I did tip him on day one...anyway, for everyone to know, the first day you get there you need to be sure to "line up EARLY (while he is setting up the chairs and umbrellas before others start lining up) at area next to boardwalk entrance from the condo to get the best choice you can get. You only have to do this the first day and during your stay they do try to get you a better spot each day as others open up. I asked about how to do this early while he was setting up and he said you need to be here at 9 and he would assist me. Not thinking I came back at 9 only to find a line about 10 people deep, causing me to get a back row chair. Which was ok. But just wanted to know how it worked. I wish someone would had informed me. Again, the overall experience was great. The condo is as described. It was clean, well stocked, pool and hot tub was clean and not to overly crowded.

Highly recommend

This unit is perfectly located right on the beach, with a gorgeous view, on a road with little traffic but only a short drive to restaurants, a Publix and shopping! There was plenty of room for 8 of us (one child on the couch and one in the pack n play provided). Unit is right down from elevator (No noise from it) and we never had to wait more than a minute for the elevator. The pool was large and clean and one of the best perks is the set of beach chairs and umbrella with the unit. We even found beach chairs and toys in the closet. Owner was excellent in responding to emails. We will definitely stay in this unit again when we return to this area.
