  • Family Beach vacation

"The condo was even nicer in person than in the pictures! We had plenty of room with the 3 bedroom/3 baths . We thoroughly enjoyed the balconies and being right on the beach. Convenient and safe location without the big partying crowd. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Loved the convenience of the ice machine and fully equipped kitchen. We would definitely look at booking this property again."

  • Excellent

"Grand Escape is a very nice property, right on the beach. We spent a week there 4/30/16 - 5/7/16. There were a few minor maintenance issues that were addressed immediately once we brought them to the attention of the management company. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a nice quiet beach experience for a large group. There were only a handful of other people on the beach the entire week - almost like having a private beach to ourselves. The beach here is pet friendly and the houses next door did have dogs that barked in the mornings, but not too bad. In general, I consider the pet friendly beach a minor takeaway - I would rather be away from my and other peoples pets during my vacation. The house is decorated nicely and sufficiently upscale and clean with good furniture. The pictures online don't really do the house justice. We were surprised at how big the place was when we showed up - the pics made it look small, but it's definitely not small - we only had 6 in our party and at times when folks were on different floors it felt like you are there alone. It was fairly well stocked for cooking and has a gas grill on the kitchen level. We cooked for 6 people multiple nights without issues. One thing that would have been nice to have would be an ice cream scoop - maybe it's there and we just didn't find it. The elevator is also a bit finicky - but we figured it out well enough. If it was my house I would be complaining to the elevator company to fix it properly - it may need to be reset if you leave the door open longer than 5 minutes. There are signs saying this could result in an expensive service charge but we never had to do that - kind of absurd they would expect you to pay $$$ to fix their crummy elevator. I feel sure the maintenance company would have reset it for free if we needed it. I would definitely return to this place if I were planning to come back to Port St.Joe / Cape San Blas area. It's probably one of the nicer rentals in the area. We stayed on the Cape 1 other time about 4 years ago and that place was also very nice, but not quite as nice as this one."

  • Nice place to stay!

"I enjoyed our stay in Island Sands 308. All of the furniture was comfortable, the dining table was perfect because it had folding "wings" to allow more walking room. I don't necessarily want to do a pros and cons list, but some things a potential renter might want to know are these: 1. There is no hair dryer. 2. There is no elevator, so if your are physically limited in some way, three flights of stairs several times a week could be taxing. 3. The balcony furniture consists of 4 plastic adirondack chairs only. There is no table of any kind to sit things on, and the fact that the seating isn't bar height makes it a little less than desirable because you can't see over the rail unless you are standing up. 4. Bed pillows are limited and small so you might want to bring one from home if you like lots of pillow. All of that said, this is a nice place to stay. It is cozy and clean. The decor in the living room/kitchen area is spot on and there is a lot of pretty color making the room pop. There is the perfect amount of rug covering some of the tile (except no kitchen rugs). The bathrooms and bedroom could use a coat of paint to spice it up and make it a little more "beachy". I'm not complaining about that, but for someone like me who pays attention to detail and appreciates aesthetics, it is worth mentioning. Please do not perceive this review as negative. It is simply informational. I don't have any complaints, just a few things that could be improved upon (except the elevator situation, of course)... hence the 4 star rating. And again, this is a nice place to stay! I do recommend it and I personally would stay here again! But of course, next time I'd know to bring a hair dryer ;)"

  • Fantastic property

"What can I say ... the view alone was enough to make this condo spectacular! Being able to walk out into the beach or to the pool is a close second. The pictures don't do justice to how beautiful the condo is. The floor to ceiling windows give you an unobstructed view of the Gulf. Terri was so easy to work with. She was prompt in responding to my emails prior to our arrival. After we arrived, we had some trouble getting the TV to work, and she responded quickly to our request and stayed on top of it until the cable crew could get out to get it fixed. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Navarre Beach."
