About Charles & Laureen

I relocated to Duck Creek Village in 1994. I fell in love with this beautiful area the first time I saw it. During my first trip I purchased a small cabin in the woods. I enjoyed this little retreat so much I eventually relocated here. I am a real estate agent and have loved helping others realize their dreams in the wondrous area for 25 years.

Charles & Laureen purchased this chalet in 2003

Why Charles & Laureen chose Duck Creek Village

I absolutely fell in love with the Alpine Forest Lodge. When it came up for sale I jumped on the opportunity to buy it. I love to be fortunate enough to live and make a living here. The Lodge has been home to so many wonderful people from all over the world. I so enjoy making my guests feel at home and helping them to experience the wondrous sites here in Southern Utah.

What makes this chalet unique

Alpine Forest Lodge Welcomes the Aspen View Cottages! This wonderful addition to Duck Creek Village will allow larger groups to enjoy the magnificent wonders of cedar mountain!

We appreciated the en-suite rooms for the adults and large upstairs rooms for the kids. Mammoth cave, Ice Cave, Cedar Breaks, and fishing are minutes away and were all big hits with kids and adults.

Great Place for a Large Family

  • 5 of 5

The Alpine Forst Lodge worked perfectly for our family reunion. My family is large (11 siblings, myself, spouses, kids and Mom and Dad. You get the picture) and the number of rooms was perfect for giving everyone a private place, while the common areas and kitchen were large enough for us to gather, eat and chat. The kids loved the huge grassy backyard. It was host to an egg drop competition, water games, a slack line, rock painting and even a play.

We had a great time exploring the outdoors as Duck Creek Villiage is ideally located between Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon, each being about 1 hour away. We also visited the nearby Mammoth Cave, Strawberry Point, Brianhead Point, Navajo Lake, and Cedar Breaks National Monument. This area is packed with great vistas and some of Natures finest beauties.

Charles and Laureen are great. They made us feel welcome and comfortable. They are kind and caring people who know the area well so be sure ask them for tips.

Until next time! Thanks,

Incredible Family Group Vacation place

  • 5 of 5

LOOK NO FARTHER!! This is the perfect place for the family to gather for your family reunion. The setting and scenery are breathtaking all year round but especially during the month of September when the fall leaves are changing color. The Lodge is clean and well taken care of. The 10 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms made it extremely convenient for all of the families in our group to be in one place together. We loved the layout of the lodge where our family came together for meals and played games in the great rooms. It was also awesome to enjoy privacy in each or our own rooms. We also enjoyed the grounds outside the lodge where our little ones ran around on the spacious lawn and our teenagers played horseshoes. We totally enjoyed having a private place for an evening campfire roasting marshmallow's and making smores.

If you love the mountains and have a large family or group that you love to spend time with. THIS IS THE PLACE!!

Perfect Family Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We have family in a few different states and traveling in December is extremely difficult. For the past 8-9 years we plan our Christmas vacation in January. This has really worked out for us, except finding a house we can all fit in. This January we were truly blessed to find this wonderful place. We had 16 adults and 4 kids. Plenty of places to gather together and tons of privacy with every room having it's own bathroom. Charles the owner was awesome and made us really feel like it was ours. Yes, I found the scorpion and we re hind it. The only small challenge we had was the drive to the market for the main shopping list. We did utilize the local restaurant and gas station for some little things we needed. Everything worked great and we would love to come back next year.

family reunion

  • 5 of 5

Our family chose this area and lodge for our first annual family reunion! It was amazing! We loved the accommodations, (a bed for everyone AND their own bathroom!) the grassy area in the back for outdoor activities and games, the BEAUTIFUL surroundings with the aspens and pines surrounding us, the closeness of the riding trails, EVERYTHING! My daughter's family was so grateful they were able to bring their dog--it felt like home and yet we felt like we were on vacation at the same time! During our stay, I kept hearing my family say, "This is amazing! Let's do this every year! " I agree! And we couldn't have asked for a better "landlord". Very friendly and provided us with everything we needed to be comfortable. Thank you!

Great Property for Large Group

  • 5 of 5

We specifically picked the property to have a place where all our church group could be together under one roof. Meals, morning devotions, and activity planning were better facilitated with everyone together.

The owner (Charles) was very attentive and accessible for any questions we had about the property.

Had one episode of power outage lasting 2 hours, probably due to heaters, phone/tablet charging, hair dryers/curlers, etc. all on at the same time.

Have Wi-Fi access point, best for messaging and email.
