Avoid the crowds on your next vacation, while enjoying spectacular views of Snowbasin Ski Resort and Pineview Reservoir from the great room of this nicely appointed vacation home.

Why squeeze into a condo when you can rent this magnificent hillside home situated on 1.6 acres overlooking Ogden Valley. Our home is well-appointed with everything you will need for an enjoyable visit.

This beautiful home is an easy 15 minute drive to world-class downhill skiing at Snowbasin Ski Resort, home of the 2002 Olympic downhill and SuperG events, and only 20 minutes to more great powder at Powder Mountain Ski Resort. Cross-country skiing and snowmobiling are also conveniently located nearby.

For our fair weather friends, Ogden Valley provides a variety of outdoor recreational activities including hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, golf, fishing, and a variety of water sports at the adjacent Pineview Reservoir.

Ogden Valley has something for everyone!

Unbelievable views

Our group included 3 couples and four 20+ year olds. We have traveled together on ski trips for several years and this home was by far the best “ski house” we have stayed in. The views are incredible, the kitchen well equipped and the beds were comfortable. Everything was clean and ready for our stay. We hope to visit again soon. Thanks for everything, Jay.

The “Polo Grounds” was a perfect match!

Jay was a great host, the view was incredible of the nearby Snow Basin resort, and we had a wonderful time. Peaceful neighborhood on a hill overlooking the Huntsville valley. Big windows, and a very well appointed kitchen made this a great stay for 6 adults and two kids. Jay was very easy to work with and checked in on our stay to make sure we had all we needed and answered questions that popped up. To say this was a beautiful home within 30 minutes of Ogden would be an understatement. Spacious bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms for a large family! Lots of things to do in this area from swimming at the lake to kayaking, hiking, to most any mountain sport you can name. In the house there were ping pong and video games for the youngers and tv for those inclined to stay plugged in. Wifi was decent though it is the mountains so don’t expect it to be super fast. Local eateries are nice. Market is pretty well-stocked. Gas was $5.20-ish/gallon during our stay. All in all we felt this was a great place to spend a week. Thank you Jay for a wonderful Utah experience!

Very satisfied

The house was beautiful. Very clean and well stocked. Homeowner was very easy to get in touch with. Overall it was a great place and we would definitely recommend a stay here.

A wonderful place to stay!

We had an amazing stay in Huntsville at The Pologrounds! Great communication with the owner. We were a group of 11 with ages 17-70. There was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals every day and the dining room table was big enough for us all to eat together. We enjoyed playing ping pong and there was even a cabinet full of games to entertain everyone. The view of the mountains was the best. We spent a lot of time on the back deck. The area is very peaceful and full of stars at night. Very quiet and friendly neighborhood. This was our first trip to Utah. The house was only an hour from the SLC airport and just 20 minutes to Ogden. We hope to visit again soon!

Family and Friends Snowboard Trip

My family and friends had a great time in this property. It was comfortable, well equipped, spacious, good location, etc. I have no complaints. The views at night were beautiful and we were a reasonable distance from Snowbasin and Powder Mountain. Market, Gas Station, and Ski Shop all within 10-15 minutes. I would definetely come back.

Amazing Views

This house was a perfect For Our ski trip with 4 young adults. Everyone had plenty of room and had an incredible view from every window. All the household amenities were there. The furnishings were comfortable and the house was clean and tidy. Jay is a gracious host who provided us with thoughtful emails about ski resorts and Logistics. We Would love to visit in the summer! I am picky about accommodations and look for the positive combination of accommodations with care from hosts. I Highly recommend this home (not just a property!). Thanks Jay for sharing your wonderful part of the world with us!

We had a great experience on our stay at Jay’s place. The beds were comfortable, and the stars were gorgeous. The views from the deck were beautiful. We had a group of 10 and there was plenty of space for everyone.

MTB trip

Nice home. Large and comfortable for our group of 8. Awesome view from deck for relaxing. Overlooks reservoir and snowbasin mountain! We rode mountain bikes and hiked for a week and could come back and make a meal and chill on deck. Great price for size. Will be back!

amazing and peaceful in one place, we will call it home again soon!

Sometimes it's hard to please everyone when ages vary so much, however Polo grounds is loved by my 6 year old, the 48 year old(me) and all in between. The inside just flows and the view from the deck is something you have to see! We extended our stay because we just didn't want to leave Polo grounds, Jay is helpful and always responds to his guests. We won't stay anywhere else, cause we found our home away from home but better! Lisa

Awesome Family Getaway Home

Well stocked in a beautiful remote location, this rental home was perfect for our family vacation. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out, a grass area on a gentle slope in the backyard for the young ones to chase butterflies, and a majestic view off the back patio. The owner was easy to communicate with answering all our questions. We enjoyed our stay and would rent again.

Awesome House and Beautiful Location!

We loved staying in this home! The home was immaculate and is a great layout for a large group. With living areas on the main floor and the basement, there was plenty of room for us to spread out. All of the beds were comfortable, with large bedrooms throughout. The kids loved the ping pong table and the great selection of board games. The views of Snow Basin and the valley from the deck and back windows are amazing! The pictures don't do it justice! We loved relaxing on the deck in the evening and watching the shadows change in the valley as the sun went down. The location is very quiet and relaxing but not too far from a local grocery store in Eden and about 20 minutes from a larger grocery store in Ogden. We all had fun paddle boarding at Pineview reservoir, playing up at Snowbasin resort, and hiking some of the beautiful trails in the area. The hosts Jay and Ellen were very responsive and provided all the information we needed for a smooth check in, as well as answering questions we had during our stay. They also had lots of great recommendations for local activities. All in all, a great place to stay. We visited in early June and the weather was perfect! I'm sure it would be beautiful for any of the four seasons though. We highly recommend this home and this part of the country!

A Great house with Awesome views!

Owners and management were very friendly and professional with helpful recommendations. We had a group of 11 people including 4 children. This house was perfect because it has a upstairs and downstairs living room so the kids could play video games downstairs. Plenty of space and bedrooms. It even has a downstairs game room currently being built so unfinished but it had a ping pong table set up so that was a nice unexpected bonus we all enjoyed playing. All the rooms are nice. House was clean and well stocked. I would definitely rent again. Loved the views of the whole valley below, the lake and mountains.

Amazing ski home and trip!

We had such a wonderful time at this home. The views alone were worth the plane ride. This was our first time skiing at Snow Basin (we usually ski Park City) and it was amazing. Lift lines were short to non-existent and the ski instructors were just great with the kids. This house has everything you can imagine and the folks we rented from were very helpful with restaurant recommendations. See you next Winter !

What a View

We really enjoyed our stay at the house. The house could not be in a better place to view the sun setting over snowbasin and the canyon. The house is full of windows allowing you to appreciate the view from almost every room.

The home, area, mountains...

The home, area, mountains, ski rental shops, people, restaurants and views are all top notch. This home has million dollar views from all sides and it is not uncommon to see wildlife daily in the backyard. My family has stayed here several times and we plan to continue visiting annually. We love to travel South for a dinner each year to "the more popular" mountains to simply remind us how lucky we are to vacation in Huntsville (Ogden). If you want to ski in Manhattan, Huntsville is not for you and I recommend you look South because that is exactly what Park City/Deer Valley provide in my opinion. But if you want quality mountains, natural wildlife, hundreds of challenging runs without the overcrowding, family fun and a great five star home for less than the cost of a three star hotel, I highly recommend this property. It is minutes away from snow mobiling, skiing, horse drawn sleds, tubing and hiking. Just don't book it the two weeks we go...!

Spent the first two weeks...

Spent the first two weeks in March '07 in this property. Great house, spacious, comfortable, well equipped for cooking and dining and the view is priceless. Would definitely rent again.

Great house with spectacu...

Great house with spectacular view from high up a hill in Huntsville. Saw 10 mule deer our last day next to the house. Plenty of room. House seems brand new. Light ,airy and spacious. Owner is great to work with. We have rented the house twice for one week in March 2003 and again March , 2006. Kitchen well equiped, great TV's with surround sound and sat. tv. Woodburning fireplace. Lower level great for kids. Snowbasin and Powder Mountain are our favorite ski areas and we have skied many places in Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, California, Montana and Canada. Amazing snow, no lines EVER, laid back staffs ,and world class terrain.Simply the best!

Snowbasin is the best ski...

Snowbasin is the best ski area in North America, period. This house is the best way for a group to enjoy it. We had eight people but there was so much wonderful space that everyone was comfortable. The house is very nice and extremely clean. The views are unreal!

With the Winter Olympics being awarded to Salt Lake City, my brother and I had begun coming to the area to vacation and check it out. We looked into the 'big name' resorts but found them a bit too crowded and overpriced for our taste. We came to love the 'locals only' atmosphere of Snowbasin and Powder Mountain. The subsequent investments made in Snowbasin to bring it to world class Olympic standards are wonderful, yet the lack on slopeside condos keeps the atmosphere just like we want it. We always have a fabulous time when we are at the house and would not want to be anywhere else.
