Gorgeous Tiny House in Sunland Estates near The Gorge, on the Columbia river!
A beautiful Tiny House right in the heart of Sunland Estates on River Drive SW surrounded by the Columbia River (lake Wanapum) gorge with a large, shared grass lawn and water access. If you’re not familiar with Sunland Estates, it’s on the river like Crescent Bar, but much more quaint and is only 6 miles by road from The Gorge outdoor concert venue and Cave B Winery. Sunland Estates even has a shuttle bus for concerts at The Gorge. Sunland has a convenience/general store called Captain Ron’s, a boat launch at Rattlesnake Cove, a swimming area although you can swim anywhere in the river, and a huge grass lawn area right on the river, all within easy walking distance. That said, everyone drives a golf cart in Sunland which adds to the quaintness. It’s definitely a unique and very friendly community experience in an incredibly beautiful setting, and right next to The Gorge! You can also access the river directly from the lot the Tiny House is on. The Tiny House is even more quaint. It is about 230 square feet with everything a couple needs for a getaway weekend or remote working week, with or without going to a concert at The Gorge. The lot is shared with 2 RV parking spots that may or may not be occupied during your stay. The front door is a 6’ French door that opens outwards and the doors can be secured open if you like. It has a cozy living room area with a couch and large Roku TV that swivels around 360 degrees. In front of the couch is a coffee table that lifts up to bring your glass of wine and dark chocolate covered almonds closer to you😊 The kitchen has a bar height table with 4 stools that can be moved around, butcher block counter tops, 2 burner induction stove top, combo microwave/air fryer/convection over, full sink, large retro style fridge and a Keurig coffer maker. The bedroom is a loft above the living area with a premium memory foam queen size mattress where you will feel like you are sleeping in a cozy nest. The bathroom has a regular shower and sink with a decent sized hot water heater, washer/dryer and an incinerating toilet. Yes, you heard it right, it burns everything at 1200 degrees after you "flush". There is a heater and an air conditioner which is a must in the summer. The walls are all tongue and groove knotty pine and cedar in the bathroom. Bring paddleboards or kayaks as the river is just a short walk, nothing between you and the river. Since Sunland is on the river, you descend down 700’ of switchbacks to get to it, which means you can hike up those switchbacks for an awesome workout and then hike any direction on the “benches” towards The Gorge to the north or Frenchman Coulee to the south. You might see deer, quail, and chukar but probably not a rattlesnake as they keep to themselves and are super chill. I’ve never seen one, so consider yourself lucky if you do! You won’t want to leave.

Spent 2 days there for a Gorge concert and it was perfect! The tiny house is brilliantly thought out and is perfect 1-2 people. Although we were there for a concert, the area is incredible as is and would come back just to spend time in the community!
Super close to the Gorge. You would not want more than two people staying as its close quarters. The place was very clean with a super supportive, comfortable mattress. The healthy cooking oils and spices were a nice touch. We hope to stay here again.

So glad you enjoyed your stay. And yes, the tiny house intended for a couple!
This well designed tiny home is located only a 10 minute drive to the Gorge Amphitheatre and there’s a great little riverside park down the road. Ron has the placed set up perfectly for two people and the outside deck adds even more leisure space to hang out in the cool mornings/evening.
Ron’s tiny house is currently parked right on a beautiful patch of lawn on the river … great location steps away from the park. The house is tiny but full of everything you need. Comfortable and yet very tastefully done. AC was a huge plus on the 97 degree day! Beds are comfortable and shower powerful (not tiny at all). Would highly recommend.
Cozy tiny home close to the Gorge - nice views of river/mountains =)
Me & my partner were going to a concert @ the Gorge and this tiny home had everything we needed for a short trip. It was cozy & peaceful.
This tiny home had a major plus, there is an electric guitar/amp in the rental, my partner plays and it made him reeeeeally happy haha. In walking distance, there is a pizza joint w/ great food, & small convenience store.
It was easy/stress-free to get to & from the Gorge with the local shuttle that picks us up right out front. Overall, we had a lot of fun & would stay again =)

So glad you enjoyed the tiny house and made use of the musical gear! I realize I need to bring a guitar strap, will be there next time :)
Tiny house was indeed tiny but had everything we needed for a concert at the Gorge. Location was tough to beat without being on site! Ron provided clear instructions. We were a little surprised by our proximity to the neighbors in RVs - sharing the same driveway - but I'd pick the tiny house all day over one of the RVs and the neighbors were cool. The neighborhood was amazing! Will stay again for our next show at the Gorge!
Great tiny house in a really nice neighborhood. 15 minutes away from The Gorge via car and about 5 minutes away from the beach at Rattlesnake Cove. Would stay here again next time we're in town!
This place packs everything you would need into such a small space. Location was great for concerts and access to all that the area has to offer. Very clean, quirky, cool home.
Everything was perfect!! Owner was very responsive. The tiny house on the cliff was everything we could ask for.
The neighborhood is cute! The house was perfect for my husband & I, very clean and comfortable. The shuttle the neighborhood has to the gorge for a show was a added plus!! We would definitely stay again.
Our host was great, the property was well organized, and the location is absolutely perfect. The setup is obviously a little funky, but it’s a large part of the properties charm! You won’t be disappointed.
My partner and I stayed at our first tiny home and it did not disappoint! The house was so cute and was in the perfect location, private and easy to access. The zero gravity chairs at night was a bonus as we loved star gazing. It’s so convenient that a store and pizza place were only a block away. If you are going to see a show at the gorge or want to sample Columbia river resort life, you cannot get better than this :)
The host was also very responsive and friendly - would recommend with flying colors! Thank you so much for opening your doors to us. Could not have been a better choice for our vacation.
This was our first time renting a tiny home and it was a wonderful experience! You really feel connected to the landscape around you. Great in the summer with a nice breeze, all appliances are included (and sustainable) and the property manager was responsive to our questions. Lovely area to explore!
