About this property

First Floor Coastal Village Retreat - 8 min walk to the beach

Enjoy a relaxing stay in the heart of Mattapoisett Village at our charming, clean, first floor residence. Filled with natural light, thoughtful amenities, and classic New England character. This is the perfect place for slow mornings, beach days, and peaceful evenings.

The sunroom is one of our favorite spaces. It's great for enjoying morning coffee/tea, reading, or good conversation. The spacious kitchen is well equipped for preparing family meals... though several restaurants are a short walk away when you don't feel like cooking. The dining table comfortably seats 4, but extra chairs are available for gathering together.

Enjoy a grassy yard, beach chairs (3) and towels, pickleball equipment, bocce set, and large smart TV for movie nights.

The town beach, wharf and inter-town bike path are all an easy 8-12 minute walk from the house. Ned's Point Lighthouse is a 2.8 mile round trip and an excellent destination for a leisurely hour long walk. New Bedford's Seastreak Ferry Terminal, where ferry service to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard is available, is a 15 minute drive. Alternatively, you can ride to the ferry via the bike path. Tennis and pickle ball courts are also just down the street, about a 3-4 minute walk.

Exterior facing security cameras are installed on the front and sides of the property for permanent residents upstairs in a separate unit. There are no security cameras or recording devices inside guest access areas.

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights
No stress on the checkout, we just ask you to make your best effort to remove the trash and place it in the bin in the driveway.
Please avoid leaving towels on furniture. The bathroom floor or hooks on bedroom and bathroom doors are great places to leave them.
If you use any of the various small kitchen appliances, we ask that you attempt to wipe down/clean them and leave out on the counter for further cleaning.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

We had a very comfortable stay here. There were six adults sharing the space and it e was plenty of room. The place was well appointed. It was a short walk to the beach and close to shopping and the highway. It was exactly what we were looking for. The owners were very responsive. It was a great stay!

We had a wonderful stay both times! The house is clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed sitting on the porch in the mornings and evenings. Conveniently located near the town beach—a short walk—and the house is stocked with some beach chairs and towels. Also within walking distance of the Mattapoisett rail trail, which has beautiful views. Sarah and Josh were terrific hosts and very accommodating. Would definitely go back.

A comfortable, spacious home made available by gracious hosts. Walk to the water for a bite to eat. Bike on the multi-use trail to explore the area. Chill on the beach. Chill in the screen room. It's all here for fun, relaxing time away. Our family greatly enjoyed the days spent. Many thanks to the hosts for making it easy to book and stay. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay using Mattapoisett as a home base for a Cape Cod trip. The property is in a quiet, historic neighborhood, right across the street from a church and a short walk to the wharf.We loved the screened-in porch area and would often relax there when not traveling to the surrounding areas.Beds were comfortable and the towels were super nice.
