Come experience the beauty of the Shuswap in our 4 bedroom fully equipped lakefront cabin. Our house sleeps 13 people in 4 bedrooms with 3 sofa beds. Enjoy a peaceful day on the beach watching the kids play while you sit on the deck or put your toes in the water off our dock while they swim. (water toys not included) Or jump in your boat and enjoy a day on the lake. Wake up early and try your luck fishing to bring back dinner and cook it over an open fire (restrictions permitting) the opportunities for fun are endless on the Shuswap!

Our big group had a terrific stay at this home. Had all we needed in the kitchen. Host is helpful, accomodating and has good communication. Being right on the water for a week in the sun is priceless.

The location is great and love the dock to hang on. The host was on a plane, so when our water stopped working (fuse issue) he got back to us immediately after he landed, but it was a few hours of stress. As for rooms, there is only 3 bedrooms, and 2 pull outs (there is a basement unit with shower but due to the low ceiling tricky to ask adults to sleep there). The balcony and outdoor space would be so awesome if an architect landscaper could help to improve the front area (ie trim trees for views, add more patio space, improve the stairs). Overall a great stay.

Thanks for the tips. We do have 4 full bedrooms. One on the main floor, 2 upstairs and 1 in the basement. And we have 3 pull outs. I'm sorry you didnt see or know about the others. We keep the one tree pruned but full to provide privacy on the lower patio. Thanks Kris

This is a perfect house for a family to enjoy the lake. The house was clean and cozy. The beach was amazing and allowed the kids to swim, boat, jump off the dock and play all day.

Memorable spot for a family reunion!

Kris' place was perfect for our family get together! It has lots of places to sleep, many quiet areas where people can have a moment alone, and quick, easy access to the water. The dock was perfect for SUPing, kayaking, swimming, and the various boats we rented. The kitchen was well stocked. Everyone (aged 8-78) had a great time, and the kids are already asking to go back to the lake next year. One note: the basement is spacious but fairly spartan, and not ideal for tall people. But it does offer some privacy from the rest of the house, and a second washer and dryer.Overall, highly recommended!

Cabin on Lake

The cabin worked well for our family. Well equipped with dishes, glasses, towels.The deck was not clean, as it had many spiders, webs, dirty rug and windows. The BBQ was filthy. We could not use it until we cleaned it. We had to fill the propane tank which has expired. Would have liked to have known to buy drinking water.

Hi Karen, Thanks for your review. I'd like to point out that it is a cabin on the lake. Our cleaners take all the spiderwebs off the deck between cleans but as its a cabin on the lake in cabin country they come back fast. As for the water, in the welcome message 3 days before it lets you know that usually other guests leave water in the supplied 20L jugs that you may want to get water at the store 30 seconds up the road. Which usually isnt the case but in this time I guess it was. As for the BBQ, sorry about that, I let our cleaners know. I did however reach out to you the day after check in and if you made me aware of these issues I would have rectified them immediately and no cost or inconvenience to you. Glad everything worked out in the end. Kris

Great Location!

Beautiful location right on the beach! Beds where comfortable and clean. Spacious place. The bedrooms upstairs have their own A/C units, which I loved! I would suggest that the host replace all the kitchen stuff. There was no sharp knives, no cookis sheets, everything is random, the frying pan sticks, and the pots should definitely not be used. Need big mixing/salad bowls. When we arrived there was dirty diahes in the dishwasher and the BBQ was really dirty, hopefully they are able to find a good cleaner. Other then the kitchen stuff, we did enjoy our stay here. And our host was very good at communicating.

Location was beautiful. We did not know that the 4th bedroom was in a basement that could be accessed only by the outside. This would have been helpful information when booking. We did appreciate the double bunk beds and the crib in one of the rooms. Dock was easy to access with our boat. No beach this time of year but the downstairs patio was nice to sit out on. It would have been nice if the patio was cleaner and the willow tree was trimmed. We had to clean everything before sitting out there and walk through the overgrowth to get to the dock. Overall a great place to bring the family to enjoy the Shuswap. Thank you.

Stayed for one week in early August 2026 — Unfortunately, our stay coincided with wildfire smoke and poor air quality, which affected our experience, but this was obviously outside the host’s control, so review is focused on the property only:Pros:-house was spacious enough for 10 of us to gather comfortably, share meals, play games, watch movies etc.-the property is right on the water with very close access to the shore, including its own dock, which was nice for swimming and paddle boarding- beautiful views when visibility is clear- air conditioning- toilets and plumbing all worked well- peaceful and quiet location- owner was responsive to issuesCons:-sofabed and regular bed mattresses were noticeably uneven and lumpy -the BBQ propane tank was empty and we had to refill the tank ourselves with reimbursement from the owner-basement had very low ceilings (mentioned in previous reviews) and was quite cold at times because we couldn't control central air conditioning very wellBottom line: we paid over 9K for seven nights, which is quite high, so we were expecting a more elevated experience. But it met our needs to accommodate 10 of us together comfortably, plus waterfront access. The wildfire situation put a damper on our ability to fully enjoy the outdoors, but it was still a pleasant space and environment to be in.
