About Gary McGratten

We live and work in the Lower mainland of British Columbia (White Rock) a few hours away from the beautiful Shuswap Lake.

Gary McGratten purchased this house in 2014

Why Gary McGratten chose Shuswap Lake

Things to do in the…..........….FALL, WINTER and SPRING

What makes this house unique

Our family purchased this home as our summer retreat to get away from it all, it has the best of all worlds, beach front, dock, private yard, privacy, spacious accommodations, short drive to shopping, restaurants, marina, 15 minutes to Salmon Arm and friendly people!!

This property is in a great part of the Shuswap and is perfect for biking, fishing, hiking, relaxing by the lake front, going for long walks down the shoreline and watching the amazing sunsets over Cooper Island.

Guestbook comments from the owner

The boys came and had a wonderful time with the girls. A lot of good times and memories were made this past weekend!!

A perfect stay!

  • 5 of 5

The home was beautiful, well maintained, and equipped with everything we needed and could have wanted. The outside decks were fantastic and the location was ideal- minutes from a full grocery store and right on the water to watch stunning sunsets and enjoy the water. The owner and caretaker were equally fantastic and helpful. Amazing stay and something for all of our group, ages 24-83! Would LOVE to return!

Clean, spacious, has everything you need!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here with 5 couples and 6 small kids, there was plenty of room, they had absolutely everything we needed for cooking, relaxing on the front deck in the morning was our favourite. Back yard is amazing once it cools down at night and we had a fire each night while we played games. During the day we spent time at the dock and in the water. Kids loved all things that floated and so did the adults!! They have anything you can want! We all tried paddle boarding for the first time too! Truly was an amazing trip!!

You won't be disappointed!!

  • 5 of 5

Everything you could hope for.

Right from the start of booking our vacation the communication with Gary was effortless. He always answered emails and phone calls promptly (often within minutes). Once we got there the place was great. The house was clean and well stocked with all the dishes, appliances etc that you may need. What we found the best though was the outdoor stuff. The patios and yard were the best place to spend time and the firepit is amazing. There is an endless supply of firewood and the availability and selection of toys, games, bikes and watercraft are great. Every effort was made by Gary and Cam to make a stay comfortable and they did not let us down.

Great location with lots to do.

  • 4 of 5

This was a perfect property for our family reunion. There is a lot to do in the area - we had a private tour of Larch Hills Winery, hit the driving range, and farmers/craft markets. There is an excellent grocer nearby. If you don't feel like driving anywhere, this property has every toy imaginable. We could watch the water from the veranda and decide, spur of the moment, to kayak or paddle board, etc. It took minutes to get the equipment and hit the calm waters. The house itself is gorgeous. Big bedrooms. Great views. Lots of room to spread out. But our favourite was the back yard that is against the cliff - Stunning!! with lots of room for a big group gather and dine or have a fire. Would have been a strong 5 star, but there were a few minor things needing repair. The owner, Gary, was keen to address any concerns and keep the property in tip top shape. Definitely on our "rebook" list.
