Nice Home, Nice location
This was a beautiful home in a nice location, perfect for our family of 7 grandchildren and 8 adults. Lots of room for everyone.
Although the home was beautiful and adequate, there were a few things that brings my review down. First of all and most importantly, when we booked this property we were not told that there were tenants living downstairs. Our family is loud because of all the kids ages 11 and under. The reason we wanted to rent this place because it was not attached to other units, thus we would not have to worry about bothering others, that we would have if we were in a condo-situation. The tenants downstairs complained about people getting up at 5 am to prepare and pack for a day of skiing. Some of our kids woke up at this time. In retaliation, the tenants played music really loud, loud enough to wake up the other sleeping members of the household. We strictly adhered to the 11 pm no noise policy, but there were not rules about early get up. We are not excessively loud, but we have little kids, and they are bound to make noise. When my son was packing up early on NY eve morning to head out, the tenants banged on their ceiling, our floor insinuating that he was making too much noise. No kids were up. There was a lot of passive-agressive behaviour from the tenants. The tenants were also supposed to be available in case we had any needs. Every time we needed some assistance, we could not locate them. The lights in the downstairs living room are super low/burned out, and the light bulbs were impossible to get out. The DVD did not work. Finally someone brought us a new DVD.
Light switches and thermostats were difficult to understand. Would be good to label the switches so people renting know what turns on what, what fireplaces are automatic and which switches were attached to which fireplace.
Over all, we had a great gathering of family living in Alberta and family living in Seattle. We are rarely all together and the cousins had a great time together.
As new owners of this rental property in January, we are sorry to hear you were not properly informed regarding the tenants below the main living area. Moving forward with rentals for our house, we are an experienced rental agency and understand the need for transparency so that your holiday needs and expectations are met. We do hope that if you are considering another large family holiday that you will return.
Perfect Getaway for a Big Group
We had a perfect weekend away at the end of September for a work team-building activity. The weather was cool at night and sunny during the day. We enjoyed using the paddle boards and used the tubes for floating in the lake. The propane fire pit was great considering there was a fire ban on. We used the hot tub lots. Great outdoors space. Lots of room inside with plenty of beds for our whole group. Everyone said their bed was very comfortable and they had a good sleep. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone and I will likely be back in the future. Don't miss this great place!
We had a very fun holiday. There were 9 adults and 13 little little ones. Everyone enjoyed the water toys even the younger ones. Room for everyone coffee on front deck in morning ..wonderful thank you
A perfect stay!
The home was beautiful, well maintained, and equipped with everything we needed and could have wanted. The outside decks were fantastic and the location was ideal- minutes from a full grocery store and right on the water to watch stunning sunsets and enjoy the water. The owner and caretaker were equally fantastic and helpful. Amazing stay and something for all of our group, ages 24-83! Would LOVE to return!
The property is amazing, location, space and toys! Wow
15 family members, grandchildren ranging in ages from 6 - 18. There was something for everyone. Everybody raved about the whole experience. Thank you
Clean, spacious, has everything you need!
We stayed here with 5 couples and 6 small kids, there was plenty of room, they had absolutely everything we needed for cooking, relaxing on the front deck in the morning was our favourite. Back yard is amazing once it cools down at night and we had a fire each night while we played games. During the day we spent time at the dock and in the water. Kids loved all things that floated and so did the adults!! They have anything you can want! We all tried paddle boarding for the first time too! Truly was an amazing trip!!
