FLORENCIA BAY COTTAGE at Florencia Bay Retreat is a fully-equipped converted house-boat turned into a cottage with surrounding forest views and was newly renovated in 2022. The cabin is one of 4 that are located on 2.4 acres of old-growth spruce, hemlock and western cedar. This cabin showcases the natural beauty of the area. It is located just off the highway which allows for easy access to both Tofino and Ucluelet.

This unique cottage experience is perfect for explorers who want easy access to the Pacific Rim National Park and are within walking distance of Florencia Bay and a short 5 minute drive to the town of Ucluelet. Offering a unique experience this converted house boat has an endearing charm with the essence of untold stories from the sea.

This cottage is the perfect place to spend a Vancouver Island getaway, featuring a private deck nestled in the forest with a new hot tub located at the back of the cottage amongst the old growth trees. Florencia Bay Cottage features dramatic wood accents outside with a warmth and coziness on the inside. Upstairs sits a quaint bedroom with a king-size bed and a large window to view the beautiful old-growth forest. The main floor has the second bedroom with another king-size bed and a TV perfect for a movie night on a rainy day. The living room is a calming open space with brightness from the many windows throughout the Cabin. The couch pulls out to a queen-size bed, comfortable for an additional two guests. The kitchen is fully stocked to allow ease while preparing meals.
The kitchen island is a casual environment to eat at, or you can gather in the living room to enjoy mealtime while soaking in the views. There is one shared bathroom that has a shower/tub combination. The large claw-foot bathtub is perfect for enjoying a relaxing moment after a day of surfing or hiking one of Ucluelet's excellent trails.

Important Notes Before You Book
Fireplace: The cabin has a propane fireplace (not wood-burning).
Laundry: The cabin does not have a washer or dryer. There are local laundromats available in Tofino and Ucluelet.

Host Rules:
We’re in the exciting process of preparing for the addition of a fifth cabin on the property (completion, spring 2026). You may notice some light construction activity during the day as work progresses. We’ll do our best to keep any disruption minimal, and no work will take place in the evenings or on weekends.
Interested in a group booking? This property has 3 other cabins located on it which can sleep up to 18 guest if you rent all 4 cabins. Please contact Tofino Vacation rentals if you are interested in booking them all.
Renter's Agreement: Guests must sign the Renter's Agreement to confirm their reservation.
Age min: must be 25 years or older to book.
Guest Limit: As per Tofino Bylaws, a maximum of 6 guests (including babies and children) are allowed. If a reservation exceeds this limit, we reserve the right to ask the guests to leave.

During peak summer season (June 15 - Sept 15), 3 night minimum and all bookings must be back-to-back to avoid gaps.(no 1 night gaps allowed). If you receive a "host unavailable" message despite seeing availability, please contact us. Our booking system has specific rules and may require manual adjustments.

3 night minimum stay for all Canadian Statutory Holidays.

The cabin does not have a washer and dryer. There is a local laundry mat near by.

The cabin sits off the HWY so there is a potential for noise.

Pet Policy: Dog friendly after owner approval with a 2 dog max. Sorry no cats allowed!

Pull out couch: Additional linens can be provided upon request.

Strict Quiet Hours: 10pm to 8am - please be respectful of the neighbors and locals!

Cancellation Policy: We offer a 30 day cancellation policy. If you provide us with the 30 days required notice you will receive a full refund. If you cancel without the required days notice you will not receive a refund for your reservation.

Accidental Damage Protection: Accidental Damage Protection is included in the total cost of your reservation—there is no additional fee after booking, as it is automatically applied at the time of purchase. This coverage protects against accidental damages up to $1,000 that may occur during your stay.
Please note: This protection does not apply to damages caused by parties, unauthorized events, or negligent behaviour. It is strictly intended for unintentional mishaps that may happen while you're staying in the home.
