Bananaquit is a truly spectacular modern/tropical home with a pool in one of the most desirable areas of Green Turtle Cay, steps from Bita Bay Beach, close to the historic town of New Plymouth and close to a public dock. It is nestled in a beautiful garden setting with an ocean view and a path to the ocean. The home's inspiration comes from an ultra-modern gourmet kitchen featuring granite and stainless steel counter tops, luxury appliances including a built-in espresso/cappuccino maker.

The home is designed with your comfort in mind, whether it's enjoying the garden/ocean setting from inside or out on the wrap-around veranda with Bita Bay beach just steps away.

The main level has a master suite with a king size bed and on-suite bathroom, a second bedroom with a queen size bed and bathroom adjacent, a den with a flip sofa, and very spacious living and dining area, which can easily accommodate all the guests.
The lower level has a bathroom and two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and the other with two twin beds, sleeping an additional 4. Twin beds can become a king with provided kit.

Bananaquit offers many amenities including central air, ceiling fans, cable TV and internet, generator, and just about everything you would need to make your stay not only enjoyable but memorable.

Snorkel the nearby reef, beach-comb for shells, go for a bicycle ride, rent a boat, go fishing, lobstering, exploring the island by golf cart, or just relax and enjoy the sun by the ocean or pool.
We recommend Seaside carts for cart rental, just because we like them.

The home and property are beautiful. The location is excellent with only a short walk to the white sand beach for swimming and/or sunbathing. The bay is gorgeous with reefs and abundant fish for snorkeling. The landscaping and pool area are immaculate. The property manager met us at the dock and made us feel at home. The island itself is laid back and relaxing. Every restaurant we visited had friendly staff and excellent food. We are looking forward to returning in the not too distant future.

We enjoyed our stay at Bananaquit! The location was fantastic and the views were beautiful. The home is comfortable and well equipped. Julie, the property manager was very helpful! We had a party of 8. Four adults and four teenagers. Fun was had by all! We loved Green Turtle Key, we will be back!

Our stay at Bananaquit was wonderful. We have visited Green Turtle several times by boat but this was our first time staying. The snorkeling off the beach was beautiful. I highly recommend renting a boat or scheduling a charter to island hop and snorkel other reefs. Green Turtle is a gorgeous, peaceful island with lots to explore by golf cart. Plenty of places to grab a bite to eat and indulge in an island cocktail or two. The house was well stocked and had plenty of space. We cooked most dinners there and ate around the large round table. We brought spices but were pleasantly surprised by the large assortment they had on hand. We always bring a cooler of meat from home and purchase the rest of the food on the islands. This trip we were fortunate to have some fresh lobster and fish to add to our meals. If cooking’s not your thing there are restaurants within a short golf cart ride. The family room had ample seating and the house itself had lots of room to gather or spread out. The porch extended around half of the house providing beautiful views of the water. The pool was heaven after a day of salty snorkeling. The management was very helpful providing contacts for taxi driver, boat, golf cart rental and so forth. These contacts were also helpful in coordinating the timing of the ferry, our arrival and golf carts. We stopped in Marsh to grocery shop only to find Sids on GT had everything we needed. We really didn’t need to lug so much stuff on the ferry and carts. The house lost power at one point but the generator kicked on immediately and we didn’t skip a beat. We loved our stay and look forward to returning. Thank you for opening your home up to us that we might enjoy a week of island life.

We had a wonderful week in Green Turtle. The house is so spacious, well appointed and located in a great location. The pool is a major bonus and the house is situated right by Bita Bay where we snorkeled with our children.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay Bananaquit. The house is well laid out for one or two families. Mary is very helpful and easy to communicate with. The island is beautiful and we can’t wait to get back! Everyone was very helpful during our stay. Golf cart is a must and boat was fun to rent to tour some other islands close by! We will be back!

Amazing Property!
Our family absolutely loved this property! Very well stocked, amazing location, nice finishes, amazing grill and pool! This was our 4th visit to GTC and this is definitely our favorite house. The view is fantastic and the screened porch is perfect for playing games and staying away from the bugs at dusk. The beach is just a short walk away and at low tide it has great little pool areas perfect for the little ones. Love love love! Thank you Mary for having us. Oh and the property managers are lovely and left us homemade bread :)

A Magical Place

Life Returns
The owner and staff have brought Bananaquit back to its prime pre-Dorian. The house was in great working order and having stayed there prior to the storm, it was nice to see that they had focused on this. Green Turtle is a special place, staying at Bananaquit enhances the experience.

Awesome Stay
We recently returned from a much needed brake. Although it was a mission to get to Green turtle this year with covid lock downs it was completely worth it. The owners were very patient and helped us stay up to date with all of the changes due to Covid. We are a group of 8 adults that go to the Abacos every year to celebrate my husbands birthday with the kids and their spouses. The home was just perfect. So clean and tastefully decorated. Its hard to believe under a year ago they had a lot of destruction on this island and home. The house really had everything we needed. The pool was refreshing in the evenings to relax after a long day fishing. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking your catch. Walking distance to the beach and centrally located. Don't forget your bug spray the Mosquitos and no-see-um love me. Baby oil is always a plus to bring for the no-see-um they can't bite when you have it smothered on.

A little bit of paradise.
Great house. We were a family of 10 and this house was perfect for us. The beautiful beach good for swimming and snorkeling is just a two minute walk. Large eating area great porches. Pool is most welcome after a long day of being on the water! Great place would return in a heartbeat!

We are Milan and Mary Milec. We live in Southern Ontario Canada. They call our area the Sun Parlour of Canada, but when we want sun and sand, particularly in the winter, what better place to go than to Green Turtle Cay.

Why they chose this property

We first visited Green Turtle Cay over 20 years ago and have returned many times since. We were impressed with the beauty of the Island, the beaches, and the water. Over the years we have made many friends with the local people and second home owners and we just feel so at home here.

What makes this property unique

Our home was completed in Dec. 2009 and redone after hurricane Dorian. The home is furnished in a modern style with tropical accents. The kitchen is a must see! There is usually a beautiful breeze, but with a wrap around veranda you can always find a sheltered spot to relax and read a good book.
Bita Bay beach with its protected cove and snorkel reef are just steps away.
A generator will avoid any inconvenience due to power outages.
The central location makes it easy to get to town or anywhere else on the Island.
A new pool in 2015 adds to the benefits of this beautiful property.
