FEATURED IN Madison Magazine's, December 2021 issue, "Wisconsin Winter Cabin Getaway"....The River Birch Cabin is a 900 sq ft A-Frame nestled in a partially wooded lot and is the perfect couples retreat or family escape from the city. Just 2 blocks from Lake Como, there are many activities and restaurants nearby including kayak & boat rentals (reservations suggested). It is also located within minutes of Lake Geneva's, plus fishing, hunting, hiking, ziplining, snow skiing and boating.

Owners were very pushy with the contract, and required too much information. Otherwise the property was very clean, cute, but dim space. Bring your own condiments and spices if you plan to cook! A little small for 3 adult women with big trucks. Lovely neighborhood orange tabby cat that loves all the pets! Excellent back patio and fire pit. Only upgrade would be a bigger shower and a larger extension off the porch to still enjoy the oudoors in the rain. Excellent location between all three lakes with tons of wildlife that lives in the immediate area.

The owners of the River Birch acquired the A Frame in February of 2021. Both grew up in the area as their summer getaway and are now retired in Lake Como living nearby the A-Frame. They were thrilled to purchase the stunning and unique cabin and bring it back to life. The renovation took approximately 5 months to complete and shortly after they decided it was too special not to share with guests, friends and family.

Why they chose this property

This property is unique in that it is an unusual opportunity for guests to live in an A-Frame. It has all the convenient amenities of home as well. The cabin is located just 2 blocks from Lake Como. Lake Como is a small 900 acre lake but packs a big punch. One of the few in the areas with 4 restaurants 3 of which are located on the lake. It also is an amazing fishing lake with bass, perch and northern pike. There are 2 beaches and kayak rentals available as well.
