About this property

Short 1/2 mile walk to the beach! Located in beautiful Harwich.

This cozy home set off the main road on a private lane offers 4 bedrooms which can be difficult to find on Cape Cod. Formerly a two bedroom cottage, the home's footprint was expanded to include 4 bedrooms and would be perfect for a large family or a few friends traveling together. For those new to this area, the downstairs is part of the original 1940s cottage and does have shorter ceilings around 7 1/2 feet (real cozy!). The upstairs, added in the 80s has a more traditional ceiling height.

The home is centrally located between Dennis Port and Harwich Port and it is a short 800 yard walk to the beach. With multiple shops and restaurants within a 10 minute drive in either direction, finding a meal or some new Cape Cod gear is just around the corner. Much like this home, Harwich Port is going through an upgrade over the last 5 years and has many new shops and eateries.

The backyard oasis has a brand new ground level deck, brand new grass (artificial, shhh! don't tell anyone), and a seating area with fire pit for the off season guests looking for a getaway. While cornhole is one of our favorite pastimes out here, the "Olympic field", as we call it, can be used for a handful of different games or Cape Cod's best activity, relaxing.

Recently updated den is a perfect hideaway for kids (or adults) of all ages. With a pop out sofa, it is perfect for movie nights or video game marathons. The rooms comes with a Nintendo Switch docking station as well as a 3n1 HDMI outlet that is easily accessible in the media center.

The downstairs bathroom, formerly labeled the 'cruise ship bathroom', just completed a down to the studs renovation (May 2022). She is small but mighty now!

Seasonally, each bedroom window will have an AC unit as well as the living room in the summer. A gas insert was installed in March of 2023 for any fall guests that may want to enjoy a fire at the push of a button. Baseboard heaters are available to warm up whatever rooms you are using throughout the home.

This home is less than two years off of an ownership change and we are constantly making improvements that may not be updated in all the photos!

Comfortable, roomy house that is well stocked with supplies. The area in back is nice for children to play in. The Pleasant Street beach is a good one and is not far to drive to. For those who go to mass, a Catholic church is very close by and can be walked to.We had a nice stay.

Host was great! Location is fantastic. We rented bikes and enjoyed the quick and easy access to the beaches and Main Street shopping. Owners have put care into the home and have completed some nice updates. Rental included access to 4 beach chairs, wagon, large cooler, a few boogie boards and lots of beach toys.

We stayed with a group of friends and have nothing but good things to say! Comfortable sheets, comfortable beds, great outside area! Downstairs bathroom is SO cute. We slept 8 adults just fine. Great location, I would stay again!

Beautiful Home

The house was perfect for our family vacation. The neighborhood was very quiet and the town was inviting. My family was very surprised to see rabbits about in the front yard upon our arrival. Can’t wait to come back!

Great place on the Cape!

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. It's a very cozy and nicely decorated Cape house, walking distance to the beach and to some restaurants, and close to lots of other fun locations like mini golf, the bike path, playgrounds, and Harwich center. The house is pretty spacious and the beds are very comfortable, and the kids enjoyed the hammock in the back yard. The owners answered our questions right away, and even left us some champagne and delicious snacks! We highly recommend this place.

We loved spending time at Harwich Hideaway! The home was perfect for our needs….so many amenities were thought of by our host which made the week even more enjoyable. Everything was super clean and tastefully decorated- including a welcome basket of snacks. The nearby beach was exactly what we were hoping for, on the quiet side with local families visiting. Amazing stay! Great property!

Couldn’t be happier with our stay. The location was perfect. We took a walk to the beach each morning and it was so peaceful. Great neighborhood and close to everything we wanted to do ! Grocery store was down the road and great restaurants near by! The house was so clean and had so many rooms it was perfect for our family. They had a pack and play there for us so I didn’t have to bring one ! Host suggested restaurants which were spot on and exactly what we wanted and the house was ready hours before check in time. Couldn’t be happier and can’t wait to stay again next year!

Harwich Fun

We had a great stay. The house was walking distance to the beach and also all the other essential stores like a breakfast spot, Luke’s Liquors, supermarket, and good Italian deli for sandwiches, especially when you are hungry at the beach. The house was clean upon arrival. We were able to check in early, especially for the group up and out early. There were four bedrooms and AC in all rooms. There was a side room off of the kitchen which was great for the younger kids. They could watch tv in their our space which the adults could chill in other areas. We all loved our trip to Harwich.

A Perfectly-Located Gem

Our family has been visiting the Cape for over 40 years, and this house was an excellent choice for this summer's vacation! The location is hard to beat; this house is right off of rt 28 with immediate access to all of the attractions there, but there's also a beach a half-mile walk down the road. The house itself is lovingly maintained by Drew and Kristen, and could comfortably accommodate a large group. As hosts, Drew and Kristen anticipated every potential need we could have! In addition to all of the local information they provided to make sure we felt at home, we were greeted by a welcome basket upon our arrival. We could not have asked for better hosts! If you need a place to unwind with plenty of space and a firepit out back, this is it!

Family trip for wedding

We had a wonderful time and can't wait to return. We appreciated the GREAT communication with Drew from the time we booked to addressing some minor issues while we were at the house. Drew is a fair guy who wants to make your visit a happy one. His property manager Kristen was great as well. The location of the house is perfect. The neighbors on both sides were super friendly. The house is adorable, and we loved the outside backyard. The barbeque, fire pit, and the turf backyard made for the perfect spot to entertain our family. The string lights out back were a nice added bonus to the backyard area. There is a shed with extra chairs for sitting out back, corn hole, a wagon, and cooler for the beach. There may have been beach chairs in there as well, but I didn't look for them as we brought our own. The small room on the main level was a nice added bonus, when my group of 5 wanted a little more space from one another. The beds were plenty. My husband commented on the comfort of the king bed, offering a very restful night's sleep. There are three bedrooms upstairs (two of which are very large). The smaller room has two twin beds. The upstairs bathroom was plenty spacious. The washer and dryer appeared new and were nice to have. There are A/C units throughout the house, and, worked well to cool off the home. There is one bedroom downstairs with two twin beds. We had a lovely experience renting this home. Thank you, Drew for opening your home to us!!!

Magical Cape Cod Getaway

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Drew, Kristen, and this incredible home! From the moment we got there, we were impressed by the charm and cleanliness of the whole property. The kitchen was fully equipped for all of our culinary ventures. We enjoyed tons of family time in the backyard and on our daily walks to the beach. Anything we needed or had questions about were answered promptly by our hosts. It was a dreamy experience, I highly recommend this home for your next vacation. 5 stars all around ✨️

Perfect Cape house for larger group

I rented Drew’s home for a family vacation—three older adults and three adult children. The house is very nicely furnished, light, and spacious with 4 bedrooms plus a den with an excellent sleeping sofa—so essentially 5 bedrooms and easily sleeps 11 people. Ample space outside to eat and relax. It was too cold for outdoor dinners when we stayed in mid-September but the large kitchen table was great for the 6 of us and also for 8 when we had some nearby family over. Very nice kitchen. A few small items were needed and the host was responsive to my suggestions and planned to provide them for future guests. Everything worked and was well maintained. Drew was a pleasure to communicate with, prompt and responsive to questions. He got in touch to mention a change he was considering making in case it would affect our stay (in which case he would have waited). And the location was great, close to Harwichport and only a half mile walk to the beach. If my kids keep wanting to travel with me, we’ll be back!!

Why they chose this property

This is a 4th generation family home. Our partnership spans 2 generations and we have been coming to this home for a range of 10-40 years! We have continued to renovate this former 2 bedroom (now 4) cottage to maintain the old charm and modernize features throughout.

What makes this property unique

Whether sitting on the porch on a warm summer day or sitting by the fire pit in a sweatshirt out back in the fall, the one constant is the familiar Cape Cod smell. Taking an outdoor shower at sunset is an absolute must. The ground level deck was just built and the 365 day a year 'forever lawn' creates a year round oasis for playing games or doing nothing at all!
