Summary:

A colonial-style luxury vacation rental is the perfect beach spot to relax. Beautiful home with enough space for large groups or families wanting a vacation rental in a tropical paradise by the beach and with incredible sunsets.



The Space:

Great home near the exotic Playa Conchal for up to 13 people, between the main and the guest house. The main house is a single story of 3750 sq. ft. Beautiful newly built, this colonial-style luxury vacation rental is located in the private and secure gated community of Catalina Cove. It has beautiful tropical landscaped gardens and a private and huge swimming pool.

An ideal location only a short 7-minute walk to Playa Brasilito and a 15-minute walk to the white sands of Playa Conchal. Tamarindo and Playa Grande are located 20 to 30 minutes away by car.

Catalina cove #3 is located in a wonderful, safe and secure gated neighborhood. The property itself sits on 1.25 acres and is a short flat walk to town, mini mart, and several great restaurants!

We recommend a car or golf cart to get around with ease. We can arrange airport transfers, area taxi and rental cars.

Wonderful Family Vacation

We had an amazing stay in Brasilito. Alex was an awesome host, she set us up with unbelievable excursions and recommended great restaurants and coordinated for a chef to prepare dinner for us on two different nights. It was memorable vacation in every regard.

Close to the beach and everything we wanted and more. 11 of us in a group and the house accommodated us easily. We would stay here again.

Beautiful Vacation House!

We had a wonderful vacation at this spacious and very clean house! It's in a quiet, gated community with lots to do in the area. The host responded quickly to any questions. Definitely recommend this place!

Great family house

Wonderful family retreat

The 8 people in our family all had a wonderful time staying at Catalina Cove 3. It’s close to beaches, good food, and fun (like horseback riding, ATV’s, and jet skis.) The pool was a real hit, also. The unexpected maid service twice during the week was a real bonus!

one week in Costa Rica 2025

We absolutely loved the house, very spacious great size bedrooms. Plenty of bathrooms. Very well kept gardens. Lovely iguana family came to visit us around the pool every day. The pool size is ok, looks bigger in the pictures. I wish we were closer to the beach, having a car makes it much easier to get around. The location of the villa is short and easy drive to Flamingo, Potrero and Conchal beach. Grocery stores near by.

Great stay in Brasilito area

This is a nice place for groups of around 12 people. It is super convenient to have the casita be separate from the main home in order to not feel crowded in the house. The a/c is nice, pool is comfortable, a nice barbeque and good sized, well stocked kitchens. The communication with the property manager was very good.

Pura Vida in Brasalito

wonderful time here with 12 family members, including small children. We all loved the pool, and the house and casita are great. Well stocked with utensils, TVs, inside and outside gathering areas, great location. The casita was great for a family of four. Brittany, the pet pig, was a frequent visitor, and Lucy's Restaurant on the beach is a short walk away. Do it!

The house was nice.It's time to update ALL appliances and replace the guest house shower heads.

Overall, the experience was awesome. With Covid-19 going on they do need to be more helpful in giving assistant for taking the test to get home.

Amazing Family Friendly Rental

We booked this property as a family vacation (7 adults and 6 children (one of which was 18 months old)) It was in a fantastic location with short drives to different types of beaches (small to no wave in coves and beaches with huge waves) and all types of restaurants (Coco Loco and Blue Moon were our favs). There was a nice pool for us to come back and relax around and any issues were dealt with immediately (nothing crazy...the wifi just want down and they had someone over immediately after i sent an email). It is also located close to a reasonably priced store where we were able to pick up day to day things as well as some groceries. Overall a wonderful experience and i would suggest this house and area for anyone traveling with children!

Group Vacation

There were 15 of us - 11 adults and 4 children and this property had more than enough room. The maid and caretaker were gracious, professional, dependable and just plain very nice people. We hired a cook also - one of the services provided by the management company - which turned out great. We also hired a babysitter through the company and she was terrific, even when dealing with a "terrible two" year old. The location near Brasilito beach turned out to be perfect for us because of the kids - gentle slope into the ocean, not too many big waves and indeed less than a 15 minute walk from the unit.

Brasilito Property

Very nice property. There was a miscommunication about housekeeping coming. we did not see them at all and wehn I called- was told that they were coming that day- did not show up. I called again and was told that they were not inlcuded with our stay becuz we were not staying 7 days. It was fine- but not all of the staff was on the same page. It was a lovely home- a few itmes in need of repair- but over all very nice. gate keeper was really nice. great location for all the activities we did!

Had an excellent time

We booked this home because we were 15 people and needed a big enough house. We liked that every bedroom had its own bathroom and that there's a pool and large yard for the kids to play. However, we found that the house was somewhat ill equipped for such a large party, especially the kitchen. If you plan on doing any decent amount of cooking, do yourself a favour and bring your own chef knife and frying pan! We had to go out and buy one of each ($40 for a 9'' telfon frying pan!!! we left it behind we had too much pity for the next guests, but the new chef knife my mom brought back with her). The house is a 10-minute walk to Brasilito beach and about 20 min walk from Conchal beach. Our hospitality coordinator, Alexandra, was most helpful in booking activities and excursions. On the property, there are many fruit trees. We also saw some type of parrot during our stay at the house, some monkeys, lizards, iguanas, scorpion and tarantula (!!!). The appliances worked well enough and we never had a problem with wifi or air conditionner. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. House cleaning leaves a couple extra bed linens, face cloths, towels, toilet paper rolls and garbage bags. We stayed there two weeks and had house cleaning services twice. They replenish everything, except once they did not empty kitchen garbage and did not leave new bags so we had to buy more. One thing the house is lacking is a clothes line or drying rack, and a maintenance timesheet.

Beautiful Property

What a great place to stay. Extremely close to everything you need in Costa Rica…beaches and el Mercado. The house was perfect for our family including the guest house. The pool pump was not working and I did not think to email for it to be fixed until the 2nd to last day so my fault. The one negative is this listing states “events allowed” but, they tell me later I could not have my small (13 people) wedding by the pool. It turned out ok Bc we married by the beach but Rebecca would not work with me at all on this stating “I don’t care what the listing says you can’t do it”. Kelly who I worked with later while there was much friendlier. Do watch out for the fire any bed under the bush to the left (as you enter) the pool! Definitely would stay here again!

Amazing home for large family

We loved our stay. Highly recommended for large families. The location was secluded yet close to amazing beaches, the room were spacious and the children loved spending their day at the pool.

I had certain expectations and every single one was met. I did not know about a checkout process regarding Sunday office closure but was still able to smoothly leave the keys in a lockbox, and every event we asked to organize was excellent, even the last-minute ones.

Great place!

What a fantastic place for our family! There was plenty of room for everyone, a really nice pool, there were even beach chairs and a cooler we could use at the beach! There’s an outdoor shower to get all the sand off after the beach and the grounds were beautiful! I have absolutely no hesitation highly recommending his house!

Preciosa casa, muy cómoda y limpia.

Las instalaciones son magníficas, tal como se muestra en las fotografías. Nos acomodamos 13 personas sin inconveniente alguno. Impecablemente pulcro todo. El trato y la atención recibida en todo momento, insuperable. A modo de ejemplo, se rompió la puerta de un armario la cual no notificamos porque no supimos cómo hacerlo, pero así y todo al otro día aprecio un Señor de mantenimiento a repararla ya que fue advertido por la Señora de la limpieza. Sin duda, 100% recomendable.

Beautiful well manincured estate for families

We absolutely loved staying at this estate with my adult brothers and their families. We were able to fit 12 people comfortably. My family of 4 stayed in the Casitas which was perfect. There is a lovely pool that we spent many afternoons at. We could walk to get coffee and see the beach. A house cleaner tidied up each day. I was quite smitten with a neighbors domesticated sweet pig who comes to visit if you feed her. She lay at our feet around the large outdoor dining table where we spent much time sharing meals and playing cards. But the best part was the service of Bluewater. They were so responsive, friendly and spoke English perfectly. Whenever we needed them they were graciously ready to serve. Once we were out exploring an hour away from the home and got our car stuck in the mud. We called Bluewater and they came and pulled us out of the mud with amazing friendly attitudes. If that weren’t enough, later we checked out of the property to go to another part of Costa Rica and didn’t realize we had forgotten our passports in the safe until we were almost at the airport. Becky from Bluewater went to the property, found our passports and arranged to fly them to us on a commuter flight. She only charged us $6 for the service! I very much recommend this place!

Excelente propiedad para vacacionar

Somos un grupo de amigos que siempre viajamos juntos. Encontramos en esta propiedad todas las comodidades para pasar nuestras vacaciones de forma espectacular. Altamente recomendada para grupos grandes y familias numerosas.

PERFECT home

We were 15 people staying in the home for a week. It easily fit all of us and then some - such a spacious home and property. The home is so, so beautiful and we really enjoyed spending time out by the pool. The cleaning service was great and the entire home was clean and well-stocked. Really, only have great things to say about the home. Additionally, Marcelo and everyone at Blue Water helped make our trip truly special. He made coordinating transportation easy, as we arranged pick up/drop off at the airport in addition to taxi services to Tamarindo and Playa Flamingo. He also helped us coordinate trips to Hacienda Guachepelin and on a catamaran boat expedition. We also were able to eat dinner watching the sunset on the beach thanks to his help. He made this trip easy and beyond memorable. So, the house is great and the opportunities that come with the house are great too. I would highly recommend this home to anyone - it will make your stay in Costa Rica very memorable!

great house, big enough for everyone

11 of us recently spent a week here and the concierge Mateo was amazing. He was able to book things at a moment's notice, to give us excellent advice and suggestions, and was always pleasant and enjoyable to deal with. Everyone at the office was kind and professional, too, but Mateo was the highlight of our stay.
