Relaxing Taylor Lake Retreat directly on the Chain of Lakes

A delightful waterfront property perfect for all of your family and friends! Directly on Taylor Lake, across from Clearwater Harbor, we are close to all the activities that the chain is famous for. Plenty of indoor and out door living areas with kayaks and paddle boards, a shared pier to moor your boat along with all the other amenities to make your stay enjoyable, we have it all!

During the winter months, curl up next to the wood burning fireplace and relax while taking in the views, perhaps after a successful day hunting or snowmobiling. Winter activities abound, this is not just a summer retreat! Plenty of parking for your snowmobiles on site. One note: The Dock is removed around October 15th, depending on weather.

Taylor Lake Oasis is within minutes of everything, you can enjoy nature at Hartman creek (8 minutes) cold brews at Hinder Brewing (9 min) and water activities with boat rentals and crystal river trips at Dings Dock (6 min), golfing at Fox Fire (2 min) and so much more! ,

With incredible views and outdoor spaces, fire pits (yes there are two, so one for the adults, one for the kids) and yard activities, there is something for everyone.

The main cottage features two bedrooms, the master has a queen and soaking tub right in the room for relaxation after an action filled day. The second bedroom has two double bunks (sleeps up to 4). The living room features a wood burning fireplace for the cooler months. The second efficiency cabin is part of the property from May 1st to October 1st and sleeps 2 in the bedroom, and if you need , has room in the living room for an air mattress. Perfect for the kids. There is a kitchen in the second cabin and full bath as well.

During the winter months (October. 1st to May 1st), we rent only the main cabin and a caretaker resides in the smaller cottage to take care of snow and other winter related headaches to ensure your stay is wonderful.

The cottage is beautiful - cared for and furnished like a second home. The location is amazing, a large yard overlooking a serene lake. Although it feels like you're in the middle of the woods, it's an easy walk to food, drink and music.

Quiet Location

We enjoyed our stay and had fun with the kayaks and paddle boards. The area received considerable rain before our arrival so the parking area was under 3" of water which made things a bit interesting coming and going.

We had a great time on the Chain O Lakes. The house is right on the water, with a dock. This was a very typical lake cabin experience. The furniture is a little dated, but everything was very clean and well taken care of. I would stay here again.

Great Time!

My husband and two adult children stayed for 4 days in this cute little cabin. We had a great time on the chain of lakes. The water is so clear. Everything in the main house was new, clean & very pretty! Really appreciated all of the extras provided like canoes, stand up boards, & firewood. Second little cottage needs some new furniture. We had a great time & would definitely recommend.

Our stay at the cottage on Taylor Lake

We had a great time at this cottage on the lake. It was the perfect size for my wife and I and our two adult children. The cottage was clean and well kept. Water pressure in the showers was good. Plenty of parking, and good outdoor space, with the dock for our rented boat right outside the door. Being right on the lake was a big plus for us, as was the free use of two kayaks and two paddleboards. Will was very attentive and responsive during our stay. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Wonderful vacation property

The property was clean, nicely furnished and decorated. A couple of things I personally appreciated were hangers, although I did need the travel hangers I brought as I hang most of our clothes. The bathtub was a great option, although our disabled daughter liked the step in shower (low step in), so did not use the tub. Washer/dryer are always appreciated. Our stay was for almost a full two weeks (13 days). Communication with Will was excellent. Would highly recommend this vacation property.

Mea trip

We really enjoyed the cabin and would consider staying again as long as they add some different furniture. There needs to be a nice comfortable couch added. There is only one couch and a chair that is almost unusable and the couch is basically just for looks. We had 2 adults and 2 grown children there is definitely room for additional furniture. But the backyard right on the water is amazing and would be a wonderful place to visit in the summertime..And the tub was a huge hit with our boys.

Disappointed.

Stayed two nights. Good location. Easy check-in and out. Property is run down and musty smelling. The outside areas were NOT clean and the dock was run down. The lake/dock area was clogged with algae. The driveway and parking area was a swamp. We had a hard time keeping the car clean because of the mud and dirt! There were even cattails growing in the parking area. It looks like the neighbors take care of their properties. I suggest some improvements.

Nice View

The home was clean and well-appointed. We appreciated the smaller cottage, allowing our daughter and her husband privacy. Having kayaks and paddle boards was also appreciated and enjoyed by our family. The owner communicated quickly to answer any questions we had. Two concerns were the flooded parking area and the shallow, mucky swimming area. The flooded parking space made access to the buildings difficult and messy. That problem had been mentioned in a prior review, so this was not the first time flooding had occurred. The swimming area is very shallow and very mucky. The owner did mention that to us in his communications so we were aware of that situation. Boat access would have been an issue due to his renting pier space to others and the shallow water. That did not stop our family from using the lake access.

Relaxing weekend

The pictures on website are accurate. The cabin was comfortable and our weekend was very relaxing. Will was very prompt in answering our messages and we had no problems. Would definitely come back in the future, hopefully in the summer months to be able to take advantage of the beautiful lake. Even though we made our meals , there are lots of restaurants in the area and grocery stores are close by.
