We had a great vacation at the Westin. We were there in February 2011 and had a 2 bedroom Oceanfront room. It was myself, my husband, my parents and our two children, ages 1 and 3.5. The rooms were clean, well furnished and outfitted. The Heavenly Beds are awesome! This was our second time staying at a Westin in Maui. During our honeymoon in 2003 we stayed at the Westin Hotel and Spa, which is just down the road from the Villas. We have come to expect a good experience at Westin resorts, and the Villas did not disappoint.
Jim was a pleasure to work, and very honest in our dealings throughout. He always answered my questions promptly and even went the extra mile in sending me travel brochures and his recommendations for Maui (sightseeing tours, eating out, transportation, etc.) Jim and his wife have been travelling to Maui for over 20 years. He knows a lot about the island.
Not every owner of this timeshare who I called was as forthright. I guarantee you that! Some of them gave me a little bit of the runaround. But not Jim.
The kids pool/pirate ship was a huge bonus for us, as our 3 year old could walk around in it and have a blast. It is only 1.5 ft. deep. We also utilized the free crib for our 1 year old. The resort also will bring you a high chair at no cost.
The grounds are meticulously maintained and the beach was no exception. All the staff we encountered were nice and friendly. The Aloha spirit is definitely alive at the Westin Oceanfront Villas!
