Welcome to your perfect getaway on the water—this 3-bedroom, 2-bath lakefront retreat comfortably sleeps 8–12 and offers everything you need to relax, recharge, and make lasting memories. Whether you're here for summer fun or cozy winter adventures, this home is designed to deliver.

Spacious & Flexible Sleeping Arrangements
- Two first-floor bedrooms each feature plush KING beds
- Upstairs bedroom includes a full-over-queen bunk bed
- Two sleeper sofas (one upstairs, one down) offer extra sleeping space
- Six separate mattresses total, with independent A/C units in each room for personalized comfort

Private Pool & Outdoor Bliss (Available May–Sept)
Starting May 2026, enjoy one of the few lake rentals with a private pool:
- 15' x 24' pool with a scenic sitting area at water’s edge
- Splash pad for lounging or kid-friendly fun

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this property! It presented exactly as advertised, it was clean and had a well-stocked kitchen and bathrooms. The washer and dryer were a great perk! Nice neighbors, easy access to main lake!

Just really loved every minute, house is really nice, the patio/dock is wonderful. Chad is a great guy too. You won’t be disappointed to stay here !

Great property and location for fishing, fun, and relaxation. This house is on a canal, so we rent a boat at a local marina and dock it right outside the house. We’ve stayed at a lot of places, and we keeping coming back to this one because it has a great shaded patio, dock, two bathrooms, and an awesome host who is available by text to ensure you have everything you need. There are several good local restaurants if you don’t want to cook. The area itself does not have great cell or internet service, so that’s inconvenient if you need to be able to communicate with your workplace, Even so, would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Family get away!

We had an amazing trip! The house was great! Great location for fishing on the canal, close to restaurants, and right across from the state park. We loved the fishing, kayaking and finding cool rocks at the park. The host Chad was super friendly and attentive to his guests needs. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice Lake House Getaway

We appreciated the cleanliness, amenities and attention to details that make a difference for a family vacation stay. We enjoyed the kayaks, paddle board and they ability to dock our boat at the property. Furniture was comfortable. We plan to come back.

Loved our recent stay here! The property was clean and very cozy. The host responded quickly with any questions I had. We were given a welcome package with informative information about things to do and places to eat. It’s a beautiful area with beautiful views. We will stay again!

Wonderful family Lake House

The property was an excellent condition and very clean. Access to Indian lake was easy. We docked our boat in the canal along the seawall for easy access. We enjoyed our time on the lake and playing games on the back porch. The owner, Chad, was very helpful, friendly, and easy to reach.

Space and views

The house was great, plenty of room, and met our needs for a family of 4 staying for the week. The kids had activites to do near by or within short drives. (Longer drives to zoo, museums but not horrible). They loved the kayaks and cornhole and fisbing righy off the dock.

Clean, plenty of room, well equipped and a good location. Outside set up nicely with plenty of seating both under an overhang or in the open. Grill and firepit. Plenty of firewood provided. Several kayaks provided. Fishing off the dock. Nice comfortable place.

Perfect Getaway

Wonderful location right next to moundwood boat launch. Docked the bass boat up all weekend against the seawall. House is beautiful and spacious and comfortably houses and slept 6 adults and 2 infants. Outdoor covered patio and lakeside patio are hard to beat and give options for poor/fair weather! Owner is fantastic and welcoming, just a phone call away if you need anything!

Loved this property! Communication was fantastic. We were able to contact him and get in on a short notice. Everything was perfect for us. Location was what we needed to go out and be able to cast a line for a little weekend fishing. Can't wait to go back during warmer weather and bring the ski's.

Hideaway Getaway

Wanted to get away and checkout the Indian Lake area. The Hideaway was perfect. Located on 1 of the lake canals, we were able to fish without leaving the property. We plan on returning when the weather is warmer to enjoy the patios, fire ring and kayaks. Chad was a great host, there was a "Welcome" package for us on the table. Chad has a notebook with property directions and information on Indian Lake.

I enjoy the lake and the relaxation that comes with being around or on the water with family and friends. Simply looking to share that with family, friends, and new friends who are able to come and enjoy your time at Sunset Hideaway. As a full time resident of Indian Lake I take pride in what the lake has to offer those close to me and would like to share that with others. So offering the Sunset Hideaway for those looking to unwind, relax, and create some memories with those closest to you is a win for all of us and if I can in some small way help to facilitate that for a family, a young person on their first vacation, or be a part of a growing tradition....well that's just pretty cool!

Location at Indian Lake is perfect for friends and family to join and enjoy the lake life on occasion. One thing that is really great about the location and property is that on the land side traffic is not able to go through, its a turnaround; thus limiting the amount of traffic. However on the lakeside, the canal gets a good amount of no-wake traffic so waving to boaters and enjoying the view is peaceful and never boring. Hopefully you can find time to visit Indian Lake as well and relax with your friends and family.

Access is key with this location. Via car or boat, you have quick access to many things the lake has to offer in and out of season. If you need to get away by simply throwing a few personal items in a bag and leaving, this is a location for you. Local grocery, restaurants, and watering holes bring conveniences with entertainment, food, and comforts just minutes away. Great local shopping and food around the lake or even more of it 12 minutes East in Down Town Bellefontaine and in the Winter time, snow skiing, snowboarding, and more at Mad River Mountain just 20 minutes East and your on the slopes.
