Whimsical Fairy Tale cottage set on 25 beautiful acres in middle Tennessee right off the Natchez Trace, and less than an hour from Nashville! If you are looking to get away from it all and wind down, but still be within an hour of Nashville, 30 minutes from the legendary Leiper’s Fork, TN and Franklin, TN.....then you have found the perfect place. Enjoy our beautiful gardens, picnic areas, fire pit and a huge deck overlooking the river valley.

A/V Security cameras monitor the driveway entrance as well as the road through the property. There is also an A/V camera inside the barn which is not to be accessed by guests.

Peaceful get away!

Very lovely cottage. The Hansel & Gretel fairytale was just that 🧚‍♂️a wonderful fairytale cottage! Kathy was very quick to answer any questions, and made sure everything was just right. You can’t go wrong staying on this property!!

***Unbelievable Experience***

My family of five stayed in the Hansel and Gretel cottage for ten days. We had a wonderful time unplugging and enjoying the beautiful property. It was the perfect opportunity to escape the distractions of city life and just focus on being together. We found the cottage to be fully stocked with everything we needed for our stay from comfortable bedding to cookware. Kathy and Stan even went the extra mile to ensure their guests had the “extras” such as good coffee and spare toothbrushes, just in case they found themselves without. While the area initially appeared to have few attractions, we found plenty of opportunities to keep our family busy. Some ideas for those considering a booking include Fisher’s ATV rides, a scenic drive to view the beautiful sights along the Natchez Trace, multiple easy hikes to great sights including small waterfalls and historical sights, fishing, row boating, horseback riding, great shopping/dining in downtown Franklin and live music with delicious BBQ in Leiper’s fork. We also brought a sprinkler and slip n slide to keep our boys busy while at the cottage. They loved playing in the water and searching for bugs/animals in the trees, then relaxing around the campfire each night. When the vacation was over we were all incredibly sad to be leaving what felt like our “own” summer cottage. As a family living in a big city, the experience we were able to provide our sons at the cottage was exactly what we felt childhood summers should be like. We highly recommend the experience for anyone looking for a cozy, clean, well-stocked place to relax, to focus without distractions or to spend quality time with loved ones. We would highly recommend Stan & Kathy's place!

The cottage and property were just as described! Beautiful scenery, the cottage was like a fairy tale house with modern finishes. Peaceful setting. Owners answered any questions I had quickly- perfect quiet getaway spot.

Great little getaway!

Such a cool cottage! Such a cool property! The fireplace (inside) and fire pit (outside) were excellent additions. The cottage was a nice, compact space, but fully stocked. A really great place to get away from regular, hectic life!

Just what we needed

Can’t say enough good things about the owners, property, and location. We wanted a luxury place, private for solitude and close enough to activity if we wanted it. Stan and Kay were terrific. The property exceptional. The creative design and quality construction of these cottages are unmatched.

My wife, 3 kids, and dog spent 2 nights on the way to the Gulf. Such a wonderful place to stay. We loved the land and spent too much time exploring the surrounding area to fully appreciate the cottage. Hopefully we will be back!

What a wonderful experience we had at the Hansel & Gretel cottage! Kathy & Stan where wonderful hosts! When we first walked in it was like we where home! They had soft music playing, the place smelled wonderful and they even left little snacks in the kitchen and chocolates by our bed! Primm Springs has some great little restaurants and Jonny Cashes farm and storytellers museum is right around the corner! The cottage was such a nice place to come back to be able to put our feet up and have a cozy fire! We also enjoyed the quite solitude in the morning listening to the birds chirp and watch the deer roam! Thank you again Kathy & Stan for making this fairytale come true! It is truly a gem in Tennessee! Look forward to coming back!!💗💗💗

Gorgeous setting in the country that is meticulously maintained & filled with charm. The cottage was darling and so clean. Attention to detail abounds & anything you might need is easily accessible. BEAUTIFUL property and WONDERFUL home!!

My husband and I had the privilege to stay at the Hansel cottage last weekend on our annual no-kid getaway. This property is absolutely gorgeous and was the perfect place for us to rest and recharge before heading home to our children. The home is truly immaculate. The pictures are definitely true to what you will see in person. I can not say enough good things about it! And on top of it, Stan and Kathy were VERY responsive and proactively offered us great ideas for things to do and places to eat. And when our event was rained out, they were so flexible with us and didn't rush us to leave. Also, when you stay here, definitely walk or drive out to the overlook deck at the end of the field with a coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening and you will enjoy an absolutely GORGEOUS view! My husband and I definitely look forward to returning to the Fairytale Cottages some day!!

My husband and I visited Carmel CA in 2013, and we fell in love with the Fairytale homes built by Hugh Comstock in the 1920’s. We decided to sell our house, and pursue our dream to find a beautiful place to bring this whimsical architecture to Middle Tennessee.

The Hansel House in Carmel-By-The-Sea was our favorite home, and Hugh Comstock’s most famous fairy tale home, so we built a replica from the 1920 blue prints we obtained from the history library in Carmel. We doubled the size of the home but tried to stay true to the architecture of Hugh Comstock and built our own Hansel & Gretel Cottage.

We also designed and built our Sleeping Beauty Cottage, again staying true to Hugh Comstock’s architecture, but creating our own whimsical fairytale house.

Our dream was to design a place that would take people back to a simpler time where they could get away from the stresses of everyday life! A magical, unique place filled with fairytale cottages, beautiful gardens, and amazing views! Spend time enjoying the 25 acres, star gazing at night, swinging in our swing gardens, enjoying a cup of coffee on the cafe patio or a glass of wine on the back deck. No worries and no deadlines!

This has been an incredible journey for us and we are so grateful for the support, help and encouragement that we have received from our five children, Ryan, Jeffrey, Christina, Will and Sam. They have all contributed to the success of this venue, and they have all sacrificed so much to help us make this happen! We are so grateful and proud of all of you!

It has been a labor of love for us, and we have enjoyed meeting people from all over the world who have come to see and watch our “dream” come true! We are grateful for all the people in our lives that inspired us to pursue our dreams and not quit.

This journey has only just begun, and we have amazing plans to further build this venue into an even more magical place for everyone to enjoy!
