Our family members felt Big Bear Lodge was the best one we have stayed in each Fall. The views were spectacular because this cabin was surrounded by a forest. The kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms each had little outdoor themes. We loved that there were 2 bedrooms on the main floor because one of the guests has MS.
My family and I really enjoyed the location and the amenities. The host was always very quick when responding and flexible with our schedule. We would love to stay here again
Perfect getaway in the summer. The weather was lovely, with comfortable temperatures both day and night. The kids loved exploring the forest near the cabin, and we saw lots of wildlife including deer, moose, chipmunks, birds, etc. The cabin was beautiful, clean, and well stocked. There was plenty of room for 16 people.
This cabin was beautiful and equal parts cozy and accommodating for a large group. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking which was perfect for our group! Loved all the games and options for entertainment. The hot tub and sauna made the snow so magical. Would love to stay here again in the future, it was a lovely getaway.
We had a great time over Labor Day with our family staying here. There was plenty of things to do and we all enjoyed this beautiful home. The hot tub was a favorite of everyone! We had a moose come every day to visit. It was amazing. We definitely want to come back!
Beautiful home. No complaints there. If you stay here in the winter you need to be careful. The roads are “plowed” but there’s still plenty of snow on them. You need good tires, four wheel drive, and possibly chains.
Directions were tricky for some of our group- I would suggest creating & saving a google map before you leave. But the property & home are beautiful! The owner was very helpful & informative.
Overall we loved it! We even saw two baby moose & their mama! Just. Magical. We will be back!
This was a beautiful cabin. Kitchen was well stocked. We saw a deer and a mouse right off the pouch. The road was rough and steep in places, best to have four wheel drive vehicle. The description of bedrooms was very misleading. We needed seven beds, advertised as 7 bedroom, one a loft, but loft did not have a bed, pull out bed didn't have a mattress. There were inflatable mats but none would stay inflated. This left one couple without a bed to sleep in, had to sleep on the floor. There were not enough towels for 16 people. Sorry for the bad review. We have rented several places with VRBO and never given a negative review.
