This was the most perfect VRBO ever! It made me want to move to Aiken permanently. The owners were so thoughtful with all their details and the location was ideal to downtown Aiken.

Charming, perfectly located apartment

  • 5 of 5

We visited Aiken for the 75th anniversary thoroughbred trials and St. Patrick's day. The apartment is right in the heart of downtown with easy access to parking and walking to all the shops and restaurants. Sundays in Aiken are very quiet with most businesses and food venues closed so we made good use of the kitchen and little outdoor grill. We enjoyed the floor to high ceiling bookshelf/library. The front living room is very pleasantly sunny and the bedrooms were comfortable and quiet. We hope to return!

Perfect and Charming!

  • 5 of 5

My daughter and I stayed in this gorgeous, spacious apartment for two weeks while my younger daughter competed in Eventing in and around Aiken.

We were centrally and conveniently located to enjoy the vibrant and historic downtown area's shops and restaurants, and it's just a very short and easy drive through town to groceries and pharmacy etc. as well as all the local Events and farms in the area.

The apartment is so pretty. It's beautifully and comfortably decorated, spotless, and has a ton of historic charm. The owners have paid a lot of attention to detail which made our stay here so much more relaxing and fun than we could have imagined. Never having been to Aiken before, I'm really happy I chose this VRBO experience and this particular property. It definitely enhanced and added to great memories of the trip.

Many thanks for a wonderful stay. We will hope to visit again.

Can"t Go Wrong With This One

  • 5 of 5

I booked Laurens Street a year in advance of the Masters. So glad I did!! Perfect location, Really beautiful apartment, friendly historic small southern town. Restaurants, night life, literally across the street. If you forget your book, don"t worry, plenty of great titles on the bookshelves. Kitchen has everything you need. Need any advice about the area, just ask Russell. Came down for golf, but so impressed with the area I plan to return and explore. Might want to book this one well in advance.

Car: not necessary

Aiken, 'a place for a splendid time to be had' was the town's reputation a century ago and still reigns true today! Historically, Aiken was a retreat for Charlestonians escaping malaria but also became a popular Winter Colony attracting people from the north especially during their harsh winter months.

Aiken became known as a sports haven as wealthy horse enthusiasts brought their animals for pleasure and training building grandiose cottages and stables that survive today. Aiken remains a great escape offering a rich heritage, beautiful tree lined streets, charm, hospitality and gracious living.
