This ain't your normal ole' chicken coop or Hotel room for sure !!!
This country charmer was custom built in 2023 with all the modern stuff, while retaining a 1923 farm vibe.
She is located just outside of town only minutes from Main Street. 3 comfy queen beds and tvs in all bedrooms. 2 baths & w/i showers
Fully appointed kitchen. Dining room is set up well for a relaxing family meal. Living room is stylish, comfortable and so far all of our guest hated to leave and even extended thier stays when we could !!!
We hope you find her as relaxing, and love her as much as we do !!!

This is our 2nd stay at The Chicken Coup. It is furnished wonderfully and makes you feel at ease when you walk in. The Hosts are supportive and gracious. We will return whenever we are in the area.

Just an excellent place to stay, we were here for a family reunion and it was so great for family and friends to drop in. Lots of room and a bonus for kids with the ping pong and foosball table down stairs. The kitchen is well equipped, will stay here again

Our hosts were most accommodating and the house was perfect! It was clean and had everything we needed which allowed us to focus on the wedding events. I would definitely stay at the 'coop' again if in Troy.

Cuivre River camping, off-site

Our extended families were camping at Cuivre River State Park but we opted for more comfortable sleeping arrangements. We loved our stay at the Chicken Coop and hope to stay there again should the opportunity arise. Everything was clean and our host was very responsive when we had a question. It is decorated in very charming style and it was a lovely stay for the three of us.

Place was amazing, bigger on the inside than the pictures give it credit for. Make sure if your with a group to grab the main bedroom, the bathroom alone is worth it.

Great home!

The Chicken Coop is amazing! Its clean, very nice decor and the home is roomy and very comfortable. We used this for out of town guests for a wedding at The Barn. It was absolutely perfect!

Better than Home!

This is the second time we've stayed at the Chicken Coop--perfect...AGAIN. We come up from Texas to visit family in Troy 1-2x a year and this truly is our home away from home. The beds are ridiculously comfortable, the setting is peaceful and quaint and it is the coziest VRBO home we've ever stayed in.

Awesome place to stay

Homie, cozy, cute modern farm house. Fits for a relaxable weekend stay or longer. Huge basement and great space organization. Host were wonderful to work with and extremely understanding of our mixup. Thrilled we got to experience our stay here at the chicken coop!

The bridal suite!

We got “The Chicken Coop” for our daughter’s wedding for the night before the wedding, then the wedding night! They absolutely lived it! Amazing photo opportunities too!

Very nice place

We had a very pleasant stay at the chicken coop. Plenty of room. Ping pong table and foosball table were fun. Clean and very tastefully decorated. Close to town. We had a little trouble finding the place with google maps. A quick call from the host and we found it right away. The reason I gave it a 3 on accuracy is because the listing said 4 bathrooms but there were only 2. Not a problem for us but it wasn’t . Other than that, the 2 bathrooms that were there were terrific and we loved the place and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

A little piece of heaven

What a delightful home. Our family was in town for a wrestling camp. The location was about 13 min away from the camp. The home was VERY CLEAN, kitchen well stocked with seasonings, plastic baggies, foil, all the dishware and cookware you need. The dining room seated 6-8 people which was great. We do alot of cooking when we travel. The living room is super comfy and the bedrooms are very nice. The master bath has a spa-like shower! The area is very quiet and although there is a "chicken/farm/cow" theme to the house, everything was modern and up to date. The host was extremely responsive. We had a change in our schedule and he accommodated us right away. He was very gracious. Check out instructions were very simple (pile the dirty towels and throw out the trash). I ended up doing all the dishes anyway but it was not required. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this home. We had a lovely stay.
