In the quaint Baja town of Loreto, this brand new, 2 bedroom home is located only steps from the beach and the amazing Sea of Cortez. The home is fully equipped and has all the amenities including air conditioning, two lovely terrace areas, one on the rooftop with amazing panoramic views of the ocean, palm trees, and the La Giganta mountains. Finished with the best of Mexican workmanship, the limestone and Mexican tile makes the home warm and inviting.
The home is furnished with comfortable furniture and the kitchen features stainless appliances and even a dishwasher. It is also very well equipped with all dishes, pots, pans and utensils. One bedroom has a Cal-King sized bed (6' wide and 7' long) and the other bedroom has a queen size bed. There is also an airbed for additional sleeping. One bathroom is conveniently located on the main floor, accessible from both bedrooms with separate doors. It features 2 sinks and a roomy shower. The second bathroom with sink, shower, and toilet is on the third floor.
The home was finished construction in 2010, and was insulated with a new technology of foam block, making it soundproof, as well as warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. The property is fenced with large gates, so you can park your vehicle or boat securely.
The location of Casa de Perla is truly one the biggest advantages of this home. The home is located on the North end of town, which is a quiet oceanfront suburb full of upscale homes. However, the oceanfront Malecon is located only 2 blocks away, and leads to some of the best restaurants in town or walking down our paved street just eight blocks leads you to the heart of the town square, hosting more restaurants, taco stands, the bank, ice cream shops, salons, and shops full of Mexican souvenirs.

Currently we live in a small town in British Columbia, Canada called Christina Lake and own and operate a Vacation Rental business there, so we know what it takes to provide a comfortable well equipped vacation property. In 2008, our first grandchild, Pearl was born. She is the biggest joy in our lives! Well before she was born we were already envisioning family vacations away to Mexico and looking forward to watching her grow up routinely visiting the amazing town of Loreto. She will probably speak more fluent Spanish than us!

We discovered Loreto in 2006, while vacationing with friends. We loved the authentic Mexican feel and friendly inviting local warmth. We enjoy walking down town almost unable to carry on a conversation for having to return Hola and Buenas Diaz from the locals we passed by. Not only is the town delightful and charming, but the surrounding areas offered us amazing activities and places to explore as well. We were forever changed by the marvelous hiking, gorgeous white sand beaches, remarkable missions, and stunning desert and mountains. Since our first trip there we have kayaked to national geographic worthy beaches, experienced the excitement of deep sea fishing & scuba diving, and toured to incredible uninhabited islands. The flavor of the town drew us in with its’ quaint shops, great restaurants with reasonable prices, and walking around the little town into in the evening, and seeing firsthand the Mexican culture and celebrations. Back in Canada, we live in one of the most beautiful areas of the world, but we absolutely fell in love with vacationing in Loreto.
After staying in many different locations while building, we especially appreciate how comfortable and well equipped Casa de Perla is with comfy beds and good quality cotton linens. The fridge is fed with purified water which is a real bonus. Every trip to Loreto we discover more. Last trip we found a great grocery store only a couple of minutes walk away and 'Zumba' classes that are only 5 minutes away. We walk to town or the Malecon a few times every day and always seem to pass by the ice cream store. The locals remember us from visit to visit and always give a warm welcome which is so special.
My husband and I stayed at this property for a month in July 2016, and we couldn't have been more happy about it. The owner, Jan, was wonderful to work with and very communicative. The home is beautifully appointed, exactly as shown in the photos. It had everything we needed and more (laundry + dryer, fast internet, AC, dishwasher, stocked kitchen, etc.). Jan really knows the vacation rental business, and it shows. The location is perfect, just a short one block walk from the beach or a ~5 minute walk to the downtown plaza. The home and location is safe and secure. There is plenty of room for securely parking your vehicle inside the walled yard, which was much appreciated. Our stay in Loreto was perfect and we wouldn't change a thing. We would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you for an amazing stay!
For 3 years now my wife and I have trailered our boat to Loreto and stayed at Casa de Perla for extended periods of time (4 - 6 weeks) and find it as comfortable as home. It is just a short walk from town and across the street from the beach and the Desert Inn (which has a pool that you can access for the day). The house is safe and secure, the beds are comfortable and clean, the kitchen has everything you need including a dishwasher and there is a clothes washer and dryer. The large gated yard provides safe, easy storage for our rig which is overall about 50 ft long. Every year things get better and this last year we had Apple TV and a new roof on the third floor which did wonders for keeping the house cooler in the middle of the day. I'm concerned about saying too much good stuff about it because I don't want it to be booked the next time we want to rent it!
had a great stay at Casa de Perla -- patio on the second floor was great for entertaining as we had friends staying in Loreto also. Upstairs patio had great views of the mountains , the city and the bay, my favorite was the top floor bathroom -- we dubbed it "the banyo in the sky". We had pretty much everything we needed to entertain and prepare meals right there. Loreto is a nice town -- no worrys about crime or feeling unsafe - even walking at night. People we met were very friendly and helpful. Plan on a revisit soon.
My girlfriend and I stayed a week at the beginning of this April. A perfect house for the two of us, but can so easily accommodate more. A well stocked kitchen, and a well appointed house, with all the TV and Internet you can eat. Secure parking, wonderful views of both the mountains, and the sea from the top patio, and only a two minute walk to the safe bathing beach, complete with free Palapas
.Located in a Mexican neighbourhood, we never felt remotely unsafe at any time of the day or night. Loreto is just a beautiful little Mexican town, and it,and this house complement each other perfectly.
We stayed here for a week and really loved it. The house is well-appointed and stocked. I loved reading on the second story deck. The top deck could use some comfortable furniture. Beds were comfortable and everything worked. Nice quiet part of town but you could walk everywhere. The owners were easy to work with and responsive to questions etc. Very reasonably priced. Thanks!
The home and location are perfect. We spent the mornings watching the sunrise and listening to the sounds of school children going to school, the water truck and the urban wildlife. In the evenings, we walked the very short distance to the beach and enjoyed the sounds of the water. Many evenings, we were the only ones on this lovely beach! It is a wonderful location and the town of Loreto is fabulous. The one problem we had was that we have still not received out $100 refundable deposit. We paid by check so we did realize that it may take longer but it has been three months. We left the home in very good condition and even washed the sheets/ towels and returned the house keys the next day to the Washington address. This is disappointing.
