Townhome, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4)
The tennis townhouse is part of a garden style townhouse condominium located within the exclusive gated community of John's island. It has two large closets reserved for guests in the masterbedroom. The house is a stone's throw from the club's Har-tru tennis courts, the Courtside Cafe, and a Pro shop that has newspapers and tennis clothes and equipment, and pickleball courts. Fresh orange juice and coffee is available each morning in the cafe adjacent to the tennis courts. The house is a short walk to the elegant golf club, the on-site John's island Real Estate office, the 19th hole Cafe, the golf pro shop, and the state-of-the-art fitness center which has personal trainers and massage facilities as well as fitness equipment.
There are lectures and other activities at the golf club during the season. The beach club and the pristine Atlantic Ocean are a short walk away across State Road A1A. The John's island Beach Club, completed in 2008, overlooks the ocean. It features a spectacular heated swimming pool, a bar with pool table and lounge, and two dining rooms with outside terrace dining as well. There is a daily charge of $100 imposed by John's Island Club for a temporary club membership plus a charge to set up the account. The temporary membership requires two sponsors who are club members and permits access to the John's Island Club dining and recreational facilities except golf. Information is available from the owner who must apply for the temporary membership and guest account (listing your sponsors) on your behalf. Golf is available from May 1 to November 1. The club has a dress code befitting the surroundings.
The townhouse features the upstairs master bedroom with a cathedral ceiling, elegant master bath with two sinks, large closets, and a balcony overlooking the driving range with a chaise lounge. There is a downstairs bedroom with two twin beds and a hall bath. The kitchen features an electric stove with twin ovens, and a breakfast bar with four bar chairs. The living room has a sofa, loveseat, ottoman and wing chair. A small table with four chairs is for casual dining. An armoire holds the TV and DVD. A small patio under the balcony has two rocking chairs and a small table for evening cocktails and leisurely reading overlooking the golf driving range.

About Pam Stuart
I am an attorney. I go back and forth between Washington and my tennis townhouse all year round. You are welcome to enjoy it when I am not in residence!
Pam Stuart purchased this Townhome in 2000
Why Pam Stuart chose Johns Island
My parents and lots of their friends retired here and I fell in love with the community in general and John's island in particular.
What makes this Townhome unique
I love dining at the John's Island Beach Club overlooking the ocean. I generally stop in at 'Rafters,' the bar in the beach club, to see who is there and have a cocktail or lunch overlooking the swimming pool, the palm trees and the ocean beyond. In the morning I pick up the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and the Vero Beach Press Journal at the tennis shop. Then I watch the tennis players while sipping freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee from the Courtside Cafe. During the season, there is a weekly cocktail party at the Courtside Cafe for club members.

Comfortable, convenient and cozy
Pam's townhouse was wonderful! So comfortable and cozy. The weather was a bit chilly and gray during our stay and the property was the perfect place to read and watch tv. John's Island is a lovely community with beautiful homes and a private beach and the Vero Beach beachtown area is so quaint with a number of fun shops and restaurants. The ideal getaway!
Our family loved our stay at our tennis townhouse! There was a carnival when we were there over Spring Break. We had everything we needed plus the tennis pro shop area had orange juice and coffee to those who live there. Our views were of the driving range. Thy gym was nearby and when I walked in there one day I was pleasantly surprised by how many people were using it and the machines it had. We had a great stay!
tennis townhouse in Vero Beach
We Love Johns Island, Love the location of the Tennis townhouse and Pam the owner could not have been nicer. Not good for young kids as parents are upstairs and kids down. Closets could have been more organized to allow for renters clothes and the "chotskis" put away. All in all it was a good experience
Wonderful Family Escape....and an even better owner
When we arrange to use this house in Vero Beach in August, we wondered if in fact this was a terrible idea -- due the heat alone; however, having spent an awesome week at this house, we'd have to say this was one of best vacations ever. First and foremost, Pam (owner) is a joy to work with - in addition to being very helpful in our prepartions, she went above and beyond the call of dute to insure that we had a great time at her place.
The house is wonderfully laid out and perfect for our family of 4, including two kids (ages 10 and 7). The only downside of the house is that you might cross A1A to get to the beach -- although, the back door opens up to the driving range and the 10th hole of the North (?) Golf Course....so, it all depends on your priorities.
The Johns Island Club is absolutely beautiful and truly a full service operation. 3 golf courses, many tennis courts, several restaurants (not all open in August) and superior staff -- everyone is very nice and helpful.
The highlight for my family was the beach, which we frequently had to ourselves.....being often outnumbered by life guards and beach staff members. The main club pool is spectacular -- however, it was shut down on our third day and didn't re-open until the day we were leaving on Friday. This disappointment was quickly overcome by the great beach/ocean experience. This point about the pool was truly my only grip....and it was fairly minor.
The town of Vero Beach is quaint and quite nice -- 3-4 good restaurant options offered good options to eating at the Club for every meal. Orlando is an easy 90 min drive and Viera made for a fun outing to a minor league baseball game as well.
In sum, we LOVED going to Vero Beach and staying in Paradise Found...and we found our interactions with Pam to be an absolute joy. We look forward to coming back again soon.
A vacation that was heavenly.
Our family of four spent a week and it was a taste of heaven. We loved the place and look forward to going back again. We loved waking up and making our own breakfast, next we played tennis and to the pool where we had an excellent late lunch. The beach just below the pool was wonderful...what a perfect setting and we relaxed and had superb weather too. The services and amenities were perfect. We usually dined at the great restaurants in Vero, but absolutley loved the John's Island food and service too, so always did lunch there and sometimes a cocktail by the pool before heading to dinner. We did a day trip to Disney too and that was just great. Can't wait to go back again...the place was great and we feel like it is the perfect get-away.
John's Island is a few miles down the road from Disney's Vero Beach resort. In order to use the facilities of the John's Island Club (restaurants, golf, tennis, beach, fitness center, etc.), renters must obtain sponsors who are current Johns Island Club members and apply and be approved for a temporary Johns Island Club membership by the Johns Island Club's Membership Committee which meets monthly throughout the year. I am a "sports social" member which means I and my tenants have access to all club facilities throughout the year except golfing on the golf courses which is available to my tenants from May 1st to November 1st every year.
