Just a 15-minute boat ride to Salt Springs, Silver Glen, or Jupiter Springs -it's all about the water and relaxation here! Bring a boat or rent one nearby. The area claims to be the "Bass Capital of the World"! Get your freshwater fishing and swimming in nearby and/or visit the white beaches and shopping in St. Augustine only about an hour away. Waterfront canal fishing & swimming (see full description under amenity "pool"). Welcome to our happy place! Pets accepted with a fee. Larger group? Place was perfect for some dock fishing and lots of eating. Kitchen was stocked, fridge was clean. Quite neighborhood! Host was very gracious and we appreciated it! We will definitely come stay again!

Stay for Rockville

This property was a wonderful stay as it was was out far enough to get away but close enough to not be a hassle. It has nice scenery around and allows you to relax out in nature. The bed was super comfy too!

Fun Family Trip

Worked well for our family vacation. Not too far of a drive from the beaches we wanted. The canal it is on is very pretty. The house is in a quiet area which was nice.

Comfortable mobile home with a well equipped kitchen and plenty of room to spread out. A bit dated but pleasant with a large screened lanai with short walk the large fishing dock.

Happy to hear your stay was enjoyable, but sad that we were unable to provide a 5-star stay. If the rating was based on the miscommunication of a "pool", our listing had the details in the amenities. I can see how that could be misinterpreted, so I've added more details to the first public viewing. I will also ask VRBO support to add an amenity for just "swimming" to avoid future disappointment. Canal stay in Georgetown

This property is very nice with water access to the St. John’s river. The screened in porch was a great playpen for our two fur babies. The master bed was very comfortable. The grill was new and a great design that we used often. This property is in a quiet neighborhood with minimal traffic in the dead end road. Great place to stay with a good location in the countryside of “ Old Florida” Area is slow paced with good restaurants nearby.

Thank you, Rodd, for your helpful review! We took care of that flooring issue. Even took out the garden tub, re-did the entire floor bathroom and put in a nice new full shower! It really needed an upgrade, and we're happy to put some love back to this little waterfront retreat.

We are born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. We love all things about the water- fishing, snorkeling, surfing, skiing, boating, and scalloping. This little "lakehouse" is our happy place away from the big city - and most likely our retirement home! We can just sit by the water, enjoy the breeze under the cypress canopy while Greg fishes with the cane pole. Lazy days are important for normally very busy people, and we are very happy to share this little time away from the hustle -n-bustle. Come on over, sit and relax!

We are always available for emergencies. Please be reasonable and patient for any non-emergency after 10pm.

Why this place? Because you can really get away! We don't hear sirens or traffic, just fish popping in the canal, boats going nearby, birds talking, and the occasional hum of a lawnmower. Leave the city behind and really enjoy nature!

LOCATION: This is quiet fishing-boating area. Has been for years and is the primary reason for guests to return each year. Please check out your other destinations planned. This home is one hour car ride to St Augustine, Flagler Beach, and Silver Springs, and two hours from Orlando Theme parks. No negative reviews for "location" due to poor planning.

BOAT RAMP: Guest can use the Wooten Road boat ramp. If water is too low or have a bigger boat, Drayton Island Ferry is 1.5 miles south & is free. Our property has 3 parking spaces inside the gate. Extras can park across the street. You can leave your boat in the water your entire stay.

WATERFRONT: this property is a fishing cabin and while well-maintained with paid professional pest services, webs & dust can accumulate quickly. We provide a gentle -human safe - mint pest spray to use as you need. Any true issue should be reported immediately. Sugar ants, blind mosquitos, and mosquitos are frequent. During swarming seasons, leave lights off outside and near doors and keep doors closed. Do not leave out sweet/breads. Place in frig.

By car, St. Augustine, Flagler Beach and Silver Glen are one hour, Orlando theme parks are two hours. So, a negative feedback regarding location is poor planning on guest part.
