My husband and I have stayed at many VRBO properties over the years and this vacation location and accommodations exceeded all expectations. Bob and Vicki are by far the best host we've ever dealt with. The cabin was spotless, we were even greeted by some little goodies. We WILL stay there again and hopefully for a longer period of time.

The cabin was exactly as described on the VRBO site and absolutely lovely. Bob and Vicki were very friendly and gracious hosts. We appreciated them letting us visit their animals and explore their farm. Would definitely stay with them again.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay, Phyllis. We certainly enjoyed meeting you both and would love to have you stay again anytime.
A neat, clean and cozy cabin tucked away on the front corner of a 50 acre working horse farm. Our Rat Terrier enjoyed the spacious yard and was able to chase a few squirrels just like at home! Hiking/walking is available on the wooded portion of the property and we were able to get a few miles in during our 3 day stay. Vicki and Bob were gracious hosts who respected our privacy. Definitely recommend the complimentary barn tour.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay, Charles, I know we certainly enjoyed having you! We hope to see you again in the future someday! And thank you so much for taking such a loving care of our beloved Cabin.
Cabin was as advertised and very cozy. High speed internet is a big plus. Quiet and peaceful area around the ranch. Family friendly, we had daughter's family (they live in Mocksville) spend the day with us most days. Mocksville is 15 minutes and Winston-Salem is 35 minutes. Would definately stay again. Thanks to hosts for tour of the horse and donkey barn. My 10 yo granddaughter really loved the tour. Big thanks to hosts Bob and Vicky.
If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing, and comfortable place to stay, this is the perfect place. We spent a wonderful four nights here and couldn't have been more pleased. The cabin is very comfortable with everything you need. The surroundings are beautiful and very quiet. My husband and I were looking for a place to recharge after a very busy few months and this was exactly what we were looking for. Bob and Vicki were great hosts.

So glad you were able to rest and relax, Carole. We were honored to be able to host you and hope to see you again in the future.☺️
Clean quiet cabin in a beautiful setting. The hosts were super communicative and friendly. The cabin was great for us to have some family visit due to the reason for our stay. Our pup also enjoyed the leaves and the blanket during the chili evenings. We would definitely recommend this place as well as stay again if the need arises.
Property was a cabin, very clean & amenities shared. Wonderful nuggets that welcomed their guests. Pet friendly with trail to walk our dogs. Highly recommend
Great little private cabin with with wonderful hosts! The wine, chocolates, bundle of firewood coffee from the was such a nice surprise. If there are just two of you that can sleep on a queen bed - then you will be very comfortable. A suggestion might be a king size bed, as well as blackout perhaps some curtains for the french doors. The pull out sofa is an older model with the bar in the middle. An newer version might be nice in case the foldout is needed, which would also provide firmer seating too. There is also a comfy recliner & rocking chair. The kitchen is charming & fully equipped. The AC worked well and the large screen TV was perfect. The hosts are also kind enough to leave out plenty of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash - they are the large bottles and not the travel size you usually find. There are tons of linens and towels - you will never run short there. The huge wrap around porch is amazing with an outdoor table which is fun for meals. The firepit is the perfect ambiance for a slightly chilly evening. Meeting the hosts and their horses and donkeys was such a pleasure! they are passionate about their animals and land which is wonderful to see. If you want to get away from it all - my husband and I would highly recommend.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed review. We’re delighted you and Doug enjoyed the Cabin and all of it’s many amenities, ad well as meeting our horses and mini donkeys — it was certainly a pleasure hosting you and meeting your family!
We also truly appreciate your suggestions. While many guests have found the queen bed exceptionally comfortable and enjoy the premium bedding, we understand that bed size preferences can vary from person to person. Likewise, the sleeper sofa is actually a newer, firmer model with a thicker mattress designed for additional support, though we recognize comfort is very personal and may not suit everyone’s preference.
Your feedback regarding blackout curtains is appreciated as well, as we always encourage our guests suggestions. We have considered replacing the heavy plastic blinds with blackout curtains on the bedroom French doors, although I’m not sure they would work as well. We will definitely reconsider it and check it out.
Thank you again for staying with us Shannon, and for taking the time to share such kind comments about your experience overall. We’re so glad you and Doug were able to relax and enjoy the peaceful setting, and hope you will join us again in the future.
We loved our stay at the cabin. It offered comfortable accommodations, entertainment for the kids in the game shack, plenty of trails for the whole family to explore (including our pups), and wonderful coffee and farm fresh eggs in the fridge.
Beautiful, cozy, quiet and secluded was the perfect little spot to get away for a couple days. Everything was neat and clean and what really caught my eye was the inspirational phrases throughout the cabin. A little piece of heaven on earth!
The owners were very nice. Left unexpected treats at the cabin. They answered any questions I had. Check in & out went very smoothly, I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a quaint little place to rest & relax.
We were looking for a quiet getaway for rest and relaxation and this exceeded our expectations. Vicki and Bob were great hosts and thought of everything needed for a wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful stay in the Kuhn’s cabin for our Anniversary weekend! It is a beautiful location and it was really peaceful. Since it is situated between Statesville & Winston-Salem, there is also a lot to do/see, if you want to venture out.

About the host
Hosted by Bob & Vicki
We are a quiet, fun-loving, and cautiously adventurous couple in our 60s! We love our God, our family, and to live life to its fullest.
We highly respect and take very good care our own rental "The Cabin", and of the spaces we rent from other hosts; and keep them clean and tidy.
Our usual travel companion is our 4-legged child “Tucker”. He is a professionally trained Service Dog; very obedient, clean and completely housebroken, loving Australian Shepherd. Not the least bit destructive.
If you are kind enough to allow us to stay at your space, we guarantee we will take excellent care of it! And, if we are fortunate enough to be able to host you at our beloved Cabin, we guarantee we will take excellent care of you!
