Green Pool

We rented the unit because it had a private pool advertised. However the pool was green and we were unable to use it. After contacting the property manager he finally got back to us but did nothing Other than apologize. Our rental was around $900 per day and definitely was not worth it. The fees you have to pay to rent from Vrbo are outrageous. Very disappointed

Heaven on earth

Great location! Quiet and peaceful community away from all the riff raff of “other” beaches. Just a short walk to the beach. Lots of great places to eat and as for your shopping needs, you can find just about anything you need at the DG Marketplace and Piggly Wiggly!

Was a relaxing area, private pool made it nice

Nice area, not too commercialized yet. Water was not very clear at beach for a couple of days. House is large enough for family get together. Area still has a lot of devastation from hurricane. House needs a lot of maintenance inside and out. Grass needs mowed, pool needs maintenance more often, interior needs lots of attention. Ceiling in great room looks as if it may fall at any time. Oven doesn’t work. Pool lights had a short and would not stay on.

Great stay.

The house was as described. The cleaning could have been a little better and there is a few updates needed to the living room furniture and carpet going to upper level. But all and all we would stay there again. The location was great, the beach was never crowded and the rental company was great to work with. Just beware that GPS will send you to another house with same street number located in Mexico Beach just a little ways up from this house.

Relaxing distanced vacation

We had a nice and relaxing vacation. There were very few people in Port St. Joe. We cooked in home daily and had everything we needed to make all meals. Towels provided but bring cleaning supplies and storage options/coverings. We stopped in Fort Tyndall along the way for a Walmart pick up order. We alternated beach days with the pool. The pool as an option was great BUT beware there were a ton of wasp of various types flying around the pool during the day and mosquitoes at night on the deck. No one was stung by wasp but I got 30 bites in one hour just on my ankles down from mosquitos. Maybe from vacant housing with standing water close by? We have never experienced this issue in Mexico Beach and Port St. Joe in the past. That being said our stay was lovely and we do intend to return to the area like we have for 5 years past. (Exception of 2018)

The house is roomy, clean and able to house many people. Kitchen cooking items are limited but easy to work in. Easy walk to the beach and beautiful sunsets to be enjoyed.

Great home with easy walk to beach.

The house was great! Plenty of room for everyone. Plenty of bathrooms. Great view of beach from 2nd floor balcony. The walk to the beach was easy. The pool was great. This is in a residential neighborhood. Don’t plan on getting too rowdy.

Loved staying here! The house sustained little to no damage post-hurricane, the owners were incredibly accommodating, and made sure we were walking into a house just like home. The space is very open - the pictures barely do it justice. Loved staying here!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I loved my time at Blue Horizon! This was the first time I vacationed and rented a home to stay in and I would for sure rent it again! The only thing I would complain about is the cleaning staff left a wad of hair in the trash can under the trash bag I feel like they should have taken care of that instead of just putting a trash bag over it and if I was suppose to sweep during my stay they should provided a better broom and dustpan, the one at the unit had seen it's better day along time ago. Also the lights for the pool area did not work. Would I rent Blue Horizon again? Most definitely, hopefully next year!

Beautiful, relaxing, and fun!

The Blue Horizon is a wonderful vacation home! It is beautifully decorated and just a very short distance from the beach. We loved being able to bring our entire family to the house. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the afternoon dips into the pool before settling in for the night. We also enjoyed visiting Panama City, just a 45 minute drive away, but were very glad that we were not staying in PC overnight, too crowded and noisy.

Great Vacation and House
