'Owl or Nothing' is a designer cabin on a quiet, wooded 1-acre lot-fresh, spotless, and stocked for easy stays. Unwind in the zero-gravity hanging chair, sleep in fine linens, and cook in a fully equipped kitchen. The star: a barista-style coffee station. Private, secluded, and peaceful yet minutes to dining and shops; a quick hop to Downtown Raleigh, Cary, and Apex, plus Historic Yates Mill and Lake Wheeler Beach. ♥ Owl or Nothing has 'adopted' a little injured Barred Owl named Artemis from the Carolina Raptor Center! A portion of your stay goes directly to the raptor center monthly to help feed Artemis and other local owls. More info about Artemis can be found in the guest guide located in the home.

House Setup:
The Owl or Nothing accommodation features a master bedroom on the main downstairs level, equipped with a queen bed that can be used by guests with mobility impairments (however, please note that there are a few stairs at the front entry of the home). The main level also comprises a full bathroom, which is the only one available on this level. Moving upstairs, you will discover two more bedrooms with queen-size beds, two twin memory foam foldable beds (in one of the closets), and another full bathroom. Note: you can move the memory foam foldable beds to any area in the house.

The house is equipped with a keyless entry. You will be issued a personal code that expires upon checkout. Just enter the home and relax after your long journey. Please let me know if you would like me to meet you upon arrival!

Guests have access to the entire house and property. Driveway parking is uncovered and plentiful.

This home is owner-managed and cleaned with love. We respond fast, live locally, and make deep and meaningful connections with our guests while giving you all the privacy you desire.

No smoking in the home. As per Wake County short-term rental statutes, no parties are permitted. Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 8:30 am.

Super cozy and private and in a great/cute neighborhood. The home (which is a beautiful cabin with an awesome layout) had every staple you’d expect and more (incl espresso machine, and chair swing). I liked the ability to sign in to my streaming apps on the Roku tvs (with a pre-programmed sign out). There were a lot of little extra values that we really enjoyed over our four nights there - highly recommend!

Charming welcoming home in a lovely, wooded setting in a quiet neighborhood with nearby conveniences. Home is well equipped for individuals and families. Front screened in porch and rear deck are nice outdoor spaces. Nicely themed decorated bedrooms. Beds are comfortable. Excellent amenities. Host is very responsive, accommodating and helpful. The house was as advertised. Very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Nice quiet retreat away from the city. A lovely stay

Owl or Nothing was an amazing cabin. The decor, amenities, and surroundings were top notch. Our family really enjoyed our stay. Everything was very clean and new looking. The owner, Barbara, was so kind and her pride in ownership showed everywhere. Her little touches throughout and made you feel very welcome. She even had items to help with your dog’s stay. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Last minute trip to reconnect as a family and celebrate our daughter's birthday. We followed the advice of another reviewer and checked out The Blind Pelican. Delicious! We visited the neighboring farm to pet the baby alpacas, strolled through historical Apex, and had family game night by the fire. The highlight was the home itself! It was a home away from home for us. The house truly is a “Big Warm Hug” its stylish, cozy, clean, and well-equipped. Highly recommend!

We highly recommend this property! It is nestled in a very cool neighborhood. You get the feel of a cabin with all the trees, but you’re not out in the middle of nowhere. You can tell a lot of very nice renovations went into the cabin. It had all the amenities we needed and we were actually surprised at how well equipped the kitchen was (especially compared to other properties we’ve stayed at)! The owner checked in on us when we arrived to make sure all was ok. She is very easy to communicate with. We will definitely stay at this property again in the future!

Unbelievable

Located inside an upscale neighborhood. Property comfortably accommodated all 7 adults w/3 rooms w/queen size beds and 2 rollaways. We all agreed that if we had a dream house it would be like this one. It is beautiful, extremely clean, private and safe property. Coordination with Host was quick and effortless. We all enjoy the stay very much and if ever return to this area, this will be our default stay. Thanks to Barbara and her son Little Dante!

AMAZING Experience

The cabin was beyond expectations! The property is so clean inside and outside! Nice and quiet neighborhood, and is close to all kind of grocery stores and fast food restaurants. My family loved the place and already talked about coming back to it before we even left it! The property manager seems to be very nice and is easy to reach at anytime. She texted to check on us a couple times to make sure we didn’t need anything. Overall, the place is so clean and all appliances work great. You can’t beat this place. I highly recommend it! Thank you Barbara for your hospitality!
