The space

This adorable lake home welcomes you with gorgeous views of Pontiac Lake. It has three bedrooms a master bedroom with a king size bed with lake view and 2 other bedrooms with 2 set of full over full bunk beds in each bedroom. The living room is spacious, a beautiful stone gas fireplace, amazing views of the lake and a large 70-inch Smart TV. Whether you love swimming, fishing, ice skating or relaxing. This home has something for everyone all year long!

Guests have access all of the home with direct access to the lake, 2 single person kayaks, an L-shape dock, and a shallow and sandy area for swimming.

- Our cozy cottage was originally built in the 1950's and has been beautifully updated and has a lot of character and charm.
- The home is on a well with a water softener system and reverse osmosis in the kitchen.

We stayed for one night to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. We loved the location, and the host was very friendly and responded right away. The view was amazing, and the kitchen was fully stocked with more than enough supplies. I even found tape when I needed it, which was a very thoughtful touch.The property was very nice and had plenty of space for everyone. There were also many life jackets available, which was greatly appreciated. While the property could use a few updates and upgrades, it did not take away from our experience. Overall, everything was great, and we had a wonderful time celebrating my daughter’s special day. We would definitely consider staying here again.

We had 7 ladies here for the weekend and it was perfect! We had amazing weather and enjoyed the lake as much as we could! The first night we went to a concert at Pine Knob and it was only 20 minutes away. Very convenient drive. You have the luxury of the outdoors and lake life here but with all the amenities 5 minutes away. Forgot something? Zip over to Walmart and be back in minutes. The lake is great for swimming. Hard sand bottom (not mushy) and it gets deep really fast off the end of the dock so you don't have to go far out to swim. If you have small kids, the area right off the shore is shallow and would be fine for them to swim there. There are a limited number of bath towels provided. So I would suggest if you want beach towels for swimming to pack your own. Also - bring some firewood so you can enjoy a bonfire at night. We did struggle a bit with the lock box to enter the house. It was hard to get it open. But we got it. Not a big issue. This place is 5/5 and we would absolutely love to come back.

Overall this rental suited our needs. Location right on lake was excellent. Needs an instruction manual left on site with Wi-Fi and other property info and owners expectations of renters during and upon departure. Kitchen counter needs updating and/or repair. Furnishings sparse and need cleaning. No dishwasher Owner/Host was very responsive and prompt to requests.

Family Lakeside vacation

Great host communication, very cleanly, great amenities (fire pit, grill, outdoor chairs, kayaks, vests), comfy couch, great kitchen. View on the lake was beautiful. Linens and towels provided were great. Reasonable check out expectations. One recommendation:more comfortable mattesses.

We stayed at the home for our daughter’s wedding. Host responded to my inquiries within 24 hours and attempted to give us early access but the previous guest’s damage prevented that.Upon arrival home was not cleaned very well, floors had food on it and old wash clothes left in shower. Home is older and has been updated, but many of the upgrades are low end. Location was fantastic. Property is in the runway of the local airport and does have regular plane traffic but it was not too disturbing

Great Lakehouse on Pontiac Lake

This was a nice lakehouse that our family and friends enjoyed. The bunk beds were nice to accommodate my kids and their friends. The owners have made several improvements but still have room for a few more. A couple of changes would make this rental perfect. The second shower has barely any water pressure, the toilets, kitchen sink and appliances are outdated. Things we loved: Location of the lake house was nice with a view of the Pontiac Lake Rec area across the lake which has a nice beach, clean restrooms, picnic area. The lake off the house had a nice Sandy bottom and was shallow enough for small kids to enjoy. The lake views were beautiful, there was an adequately stocked kitchen with a Keurig and coffee capsules provided. We had the ability to host friends and family, use the kayaks, nice sleeping accommodations, especially the furniture in the primary bedroom. The owners were helpful and responsive and the check in process was easy. Overall, a Great Lake house to visit.
