Beautiful area and so nice being right at the beach. We had a wonderful stay.

the pool / jacuzzi was a highlight - and we did the all-inclusive for one of the three days (highly recommend). A 3-4 day stay was perfect!

Small, lovely resort where everyone knows you after the first 2 days. Fun, varied activities and not too much seaweed. Food at the snack shack is good; dinner so-so but menu changes nightly. Note: Location of the resort is fairly deep into Playacar, so ask about the bikes or be ready to walk a lot into town (totally with it!).

Beautiful views and right on the beach. Stayed for two weeks and it was great! Resort was small and quaint, we thought it was the best one in the area. We walked to town almost every day, took about 20 minutes. Our room was fresh and clean, bed was comfortable. If you want chairs by the pool or beach with an umbrella you need to get up early and put towels down. They go fast. There is a bar by the pool, otherwise you need to go to town, there are no restaurants or bars that you can access along the beach unless you go to town. The team of managers all did a great job and Sergio went above and beyond to get us in early. We appreciated that!

Casa Tomas was the perfect base for our family trip to Playa del Carmen. Meri met us and showed us how to operate the AC and TVs. She also came every other day to clean the whole house. The hosts provided a Christmas tree for our stay. They also had extra dishes and glasses for our family meals. Lots of beach and pool equipment, including masks. Snorkels, fins, boogie boards and beach towels. The refrigerator was hooked to sanitary water to make safe ice. Also water dispenser with supply of drinking water. If you are looking for a place to rent, look ni further. You'll love Casa Tomas!

This house is awesome! It's beautiful, was very clean & new, spacious, and perfect for 2 families traveling together. Great kitchen. Comes with filtered water that gets replaced during the stay if you leave the empty bottles out front. Very large & well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. Playacar Fase 1 is a quiet & charming neighborhood- mostly large, interesting single family homes with lots of tropical greenery. The beach is perfect for swimming; the seaweed was only a problem 1 day out of our 8 day stay, and even then we could walk a short distance down the beach to find a clearer spot. It's a pleasant 15 minute walk to town- you come out by the Paseo del Carmen mall very close to everything downtown (tons of restaurants). We got by without a rental car; you can walk to Oxxo/7eleven & tons of restaurants. We used taxis to get groceries and booked vans to go to activities (cenotes, akumal, xcaret). UberEats delivers from a selection of local places (Ay Taco is a great option for quick & tasty tacos).

Play Car Phase 1 is NOT, just Playa del Carmen. My family and I love Playa and have stayed everywhere from Mamaita's Beach to Xcaret. But, Playa Car Phase 1 is special. It is private, secure, and on the beach. Play Car Phase 2 is great for families and those that like to wake up and watch the wildlife. However, of the more than ten places I have stayed in Playa del Carmen I believe this was my favorite.

First of all the condo was clean, comfortable, and OMG the veiws of the ocean and pool area were fantastic! I've been to this resort before and always am impressed by the staff and the prperty as a whole. The pool, swim up bar, comfy lounge chairs make for a really nice way to spend the day! Fishermans also has Kayaks, bikes, volleyball, and classes available for free. The beachside restaurant is a great, convenient place to get a cold drink and great food that doesn't cost much at all. If all the tranquility is too much to take, the craziness and fun of 5th Avenue is a short 10-15 minute walk through a beautiful tree lined neighborhood. Finally the condo owner Pamela was super nice and had answers for all my questions with very useful recommendations. I'll definately be back!
