Welcome to our 11,500 sq ft luxury family home, Casa Isabella, the estate named after our daughter. Casa Isabella is brand-new construction that offers modern architecture inside and out with tall ceilings, expansive windows, stunning views, ocean breezes, and spectacular sunsets. We are inspired by the natural beauty of Costa Rica and we’ve incorporated nature into the estate with planters on every level.

Situated directly along the 2.5-mile beachfront of Playa Potrero with all three levels overlooking the ocean, Casa Isabella includes a professionally landscaped private garden with an oceanfront patio for sunset cocktail hours. A private gate opens to a sandy beach for casual walks, a dip in the ocean, paddle boarding or just watching the sailboats pass by. The bay has gentle waves that are calm and inviting with warm swimmable water. Your view includes the Catalina Islands 6 miles offshore, one of the most sought out scuba diving and snorkeling locations in Costa Rica. Dive boats can get there in 10 minutes.

The entire estate has been professionally decorated and furnished with custom – made furnishings. There are two private pools, two outdoor kitchens, two great rooms, two chef’s kitchens and two dining areas for 14 people each, and two media rooms. Ten bedrooms include ensuite bathrooms and private balconies. Two guest suites include ensuite bathrooms.

The Casa Isabella estate consists of two main houses, each with 5 bedrooms and 5 ½ bathrooms and accommodating up to 12 guests each. Each main house is completely independent with it's own pool, garden, beach shower, beach gate and beach supplies. In addition, two guest suites with ensuite bathrooms can only be booked with the main house accommodating 2 guests each. The entire estate can accommodate 28 guests. The guest suites can be added to the reservation at an additional cost of $100 per night each subject to availability. Additional fees apply for private events. Casa Isabella is in a beach community within walking distance of several great restaurants such as Hemmingway’s, Nita Coffee, Cerveceria Independiente (Brewery), La Forketta, MerKdo (Grocery) and the sailing center. A few minutes’ drive takes you to El Tiki, Coco Loco, Surf Box (Coffee), Sentido Norte, and the Fruit Stand. So many great options nearby! The Flamingo marina is on the south end of the bay offering sunset cruises and world-class fishing.

If you are traveling with babies and children:

This house is set up for families with kids. We have highchairs/booster seats, changing pads, pack and plays, baby tubs, and toys. Please let us know that you are bringing a baby and what baby gear you need, so we can get ready for your arrival. Nanny service can be arranged upon request.

Sustainable features:

Costa Rica was named one of the most sustainable countries in the world, and we considered sustainability every step of the way while designing and building this house.

We use a water softener system throughout the house to remove impurities in tap water and make it safe to drink straight from the tap. For an added convenience, we have filtered water in the refrigerator, so you can get a cold glass of clean drinking water straight from the fridge. These measures help reduce reliance on bottled water and prevent plastic waste from entering local oceans and ecosystems.

To conserve water resources, we use recycled wastewater for irrigating the many plants that grow on our property.

Guanacaste region of Costa Rica can be hot and humid. To require less energy for cooling the house, we designed bigger roof overhangs to provide more shade. We put plants on the roof to help cool down the house and to create a modern oasis.

Our rooms are individually air-conditioned, so you can choose the temperature that suits you best personally and use less energy along the way.

Housekeeping:

Daily maid service is included except for Sunday. Our concierge can assist with arranging a private chef, pre-stocking groceries, and local excursions.

Location:

The location of our home is also perfect! Listen to the sound of the waves crashing or spend the day paddle boarding, snorkeling, swimming and kayaking and nearby you will find grocery, fruit stands, coffee shops, and restaurants. Personally, we have enjoyed the peaceful quality of the neighborhood and home as a sanctuary, far enough from the busy-ness of the world yet convenient enough to hop in the car to pick up take-out or a morning latte.
