This is the second time we have stayed with Brittany. She is an attentive host if you need her. Her little cabins are warm, clean and comfortable. We will be back next year!
Cozy and updated. It was perfect for us and our pups. It was clean and well maintained and a great location for that area. We would have enjoyed the fire pit in the back yard but there was a foot of snow on the ground so we couldn’t use it at that time.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
This is a great space for a couple wanting a retreat, NOT for families. The host needs to update the listing becuase the furniture has been updated and no longer has the features as explained. Also note that the bedroom is pictured twice just with different bedding. This might have been a personal error, but was misleading to what the space would actually include. The swings around the fire pit are in disrepair. There was dog poop left in the yard from previous use. The pictures also do not show how close you are to the other properties on the shared compound. This was not as secluded as we thought. The host added a hot tub to the property immediately before our arrival. It was a wonderful surprise. However, the host came to the property unnanounced to check on it, gave us minimal guidelines on how to use and care for it, and then shut it down for the last day of our stay. Host was fairly responsive when messaged, but did not communicate prior to coming to the property. I don't think we would return to this property, but did love the unique features of both our space and shared compound.

Just to clear up a few things:
The listing clearly says ONE bedroom. The two photos mentioned are two different angles of the same room, with the same bedding. Two camera angles do not magically create a second bedroom.
The brand-new hot tub was shut down after it was left full of dirt, debris and sludge. We chose to clean and sanitize it rather than pretend contaminated water was acceptable just to avoid a complaint.
The Forest Villas is also a multi-cabin property spread across six acres, which is disclosed in the listing.
We take legitimate feedback seriously and make improvements when needed. We also believe future guests deserve the full story, not just the dramatic version.
The hosts were friendly. We had a minor problem when we first arrived but was able to resolve it right away. The property was nice, exactly like the photos. No surprises. We stayed during the winter and so although we werent able to take advantage of everything nearby, it was still very nice to stay for the weekend. We own a camper and rarely stay elsewhere, so this was a great spot to hang for a weekend getaway to Cook Forest.
This place was absolutely perfect for a weekend getaway with my boyfriend. Aside from the coziness and excellent amenities, we were greeted by a leucistic deer in the backyard on several occasions. That’s as close as I’ll ever get to seeing a unicorn in the wild!! We’ll definitely be coming back!
Very cozy and welcoming stay ! Property manager was very nice!

About the host
Hosted by Brittany Gibbs
This will be a Forest Villas very first season in service! The founder is named Johnny, and I am Brittany, co-owner and property manager. We met the first season of our other property, and I was fortunate enough to be able to help shape and mold everything we offer our guests. We pride ourselves on providing outstanding customer service, quick response times, and of course customer satisfaction. This is our first raw land commercial development. It has been an amazing amount of work, and more rewarding than I could have anticipated.
Johnny was raised in this area and has a insiders understanding of not only how to provide the best experience for the guests, he is also a great resource if guests are looking for something in particular. He is a loving father (Pic above), dedicated businessman, and a truly talented visionary.
I came to this area three and a half years ago on a nursing contract and rented one of his units. It wasn’t long before I was presented with the opportunity to be part of this special company. Since then, it has been an amazing adventure. We take pride in what we have created, tho being able to provide a home away from home, a space just waiting to see what kind of unforgettable memories you'll make, has been the most special part. We can't wait to host you too!
Why they chose this property
Amazing location conveniently located off Rt 66. Easy access to town and minutes away from a plethora of activities from wine tastings, to hunting and fishing, or simply relaxing in the river after a hike in the woods. Recently renovated and jam-packed with amenities; we can’t wait to share our space with you.
What makes this property unique
We pride ourselves on being available anytime a guest needs us with a 100% response rate on other platforms and donned with a Super Host title! While this cabin and listing are both new to VRBO, we can’t wait to fill up the reviews. Being able to provide you with an amazing experience is at the core of our passion.
We are located between the Allegheny national forest and the infamous cooks forest. There are several trails of varying degrees of difficulty and composure. We are very well known for hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling as well. If that is not your cup of tea, we are only a few minutes from the Allegheny National River. Pick a Cove and jump in or along the river front, there is a canoe/raft rental company that also provides transportation!
While in town most any essential need is available and the small close knit community will make you feel like family. Marienville is truly a hidden gem!
