A fisherman's paradise. Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Spanish Mackerel and Snook can be found. Taylor county shorelines consist of some of the best and underfished waters on the Gulf of Mexico. It's shallow-water, grassy flats at their best. Head offshore for deeper waters and you'll find Grouper, Snapper, and Cobia. Fly Fishing, plug casting or "flinging" baits, the fish are plentiful. Excellent scalloping both north and south. Book Keenan's early to ensure a great accommodation close by where all the scalloping action is taking place. Taylor County is also home to deer, turkey, waterfowl/duck, wild hog, and quail. There is always a hunting season and a reason to visit. When you aren’t enjoying fishing or relaxing in the sun, you can enjoy a hike or bike ride at Gulf State Park. This park also offers a playground and splash pad. Hagens Cove Park offers picnic pavilions, hiking trails, and an observation tower for viewing the surrounding area. Keaton beach is also 20 minutes from Iron Horse Mud Ranch. Book Keenan's year-round.
Keep in mind that because Keaton Beach is remote there is limited access to restaurants in our area. Grocery stores and restaurants are plentiful in Perry, about a 20 minute drive.

Danielle is very sweet, very responsive and considerate host. This Keaton Beach rental is in a peaceful, quiet location where neighbors are at a distance. The property provides privacy while still being on the Gulf's doorstep and near to a boat ramp, marina and secluded beaches. The property is huge and private. The home is quaint with a comfortable amount of living space. The kitchen had everything I needed for an extended stay. Laundry facilities, heat and AC worked great. I didn't sleep in the 2nd bedroom so can't speak to it, the primary bedroom could use either a new mattress or a topper and living room furniture needs a refresh, a few minor things that would make this a 5-star stay but still very functional.Having previously lived in Florida for 30 plus years, back when there were millions upon millions less people, this location is an amazing find. It's a tiny community. There are few cars, no traffic and it seemed time rolled back decades. If you want to be off the beaten path where the drive to the gulf is 5 minutes and the one to the store takes 25 minutes for the miles and never the traffic, book here.
Keenan's is a result of my dad's hard work, dedication, and love of all things outdoors, especially fishing. He only got to enjoy his home for 1.5 years before he passed away and it is my dream to keep his memory alive by sharing his home with you. He chose Keaton Beach to make his home because of his love for fishing. Keaton Beach is a fisherman's paradise. I hope you enjoy your stay and have time for family, relaxing, and most importantly, fishing.
