Beautiful house and great central area for the dining room, kitchen, and living room. We rented it for our annual family vacation for 8 of us and it was a wonderful time. Multiple great sitting areas and very clean. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. We would definitely book again! Thank you!!

We had a very enjoyable stay. The hosts were well organized and sent out a nice 5 page letter with a lot of valuable information ahead of time. The place is gorgeous and clean and the layout gives a lot of privacy if needed. We enjoyed the large deck, the fire pit area and game night on the large screen porch. We biked and also headed to Bluegill lake for the kiddos to swim. Well appointed with utensils and other needs.

House was very clean and beds were comfortable. We enjoyed cooking together in the kitchen and then eating together (9 adults) at the large dining room table. The large deck and screened in porch were also favorite spots for our family to play games together. The lake itself was a little disappointing due to water being more shallow than expected for swimming and fishing. The small pontoon boat was a nice addition though. Also, the hosts were very easy to communicate with and check in was a breeze. We would recommend this home to other families.

Our multi generational family had a wonderful stay at Hunter Lake. Laura and Matt were easy to communicate with and answered requests and questions quickly. We had a hiccup with water pressure during our stay but Laura and Matt addressed the issue promptly. We enjoyed the variety of wildlife. Fawns, foxes, and bald eagles. A family of river otters and the songs of bullfrogs just off the dock kept us all entertained. The kitchen is well stocked with new appliances. We especially appreciated the quality utensils, cutlery and cookware since we prepared all of our meals for 13. The hot tub was clean and worked perfectly and the large deck provided great views of the lake. Thank you Laura and Matt for sharing your beautiful home with us for our 2026 family adventure!

Beautiful, secluded, and very peaceful property. Super easy check-in, appreciated the detailed directions. Enjoyed kayaking, gathering around the fire, soaking in the hot tub, and playing games around the big table. Beds were comfy and house was clean and well kept. Fabulous family weekend!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Laura was always quick to respond and the check-in/check-out processes were seamless. The house worked well for our group and was clean and well-supplied with the essentials. Our only complaint was that the basement was quite chilly relative to the rest of the house. If we have the opportunity, we would love to stay again!

Family getaway

Enjoyed a long holiday weekend at this beautiful home. It was perfect for the 7 of us. We prefer to cook and eat together. The kitchen was adequately stocked and a huge kitchen table was perfect to gather around. It was HOT and we were thankful the A/C worked so well. We enjoyed the hottub after sunset! Enjoyed the lake as well.

Summer family vacation

Our stay at NeverSummer was relaxing and a time for our family to reconnect. My four kids, spouses and five grandchildren ages 4- 18 enjoyed the private lakeside retreat in the woods. The accommodations were clean and Laura was great to work with. This was our second time at NeverSummer. We love it there.

Relaxing

My family had a wonderful time, fishing, watching the wildlife and just relaxing on the beautiful deck. The grandkids loved seeing the turtles by the dock each day. The home was beautiful nestled in the woods. Communication was great! We would recommend this place. Thank you for letting us stay.

Being One with Nature

The lodge is a wonderful get away for my family and I from the city and be one with nature. The lodge offers all the amenities to provide a warm and cozy stay. The biggest perks of the lodge is that it comes with a hut tub, bon fire pit and kayaks. In essence, the lodge gives an experience for one to de-stress and enjoy nature. The host was wonderful in communication and preparing the lodge for us prior to our stay. The lodge was perfect and I will recommend to my family and friends.

tree top lakeside get away

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin on Hunter Lake. We enjoyed everything about the cabin & it's picturesque surroundings. We had a lot of fun on the lake, around the campfire, on the deck, on the four-season porch & in the cabin. The cabin was stocked with everything you could want or need. There were 3 couples & 3 adult children. There was plenty of space & comfortable beds for everyone. We look forward to returning in the future!

Great Location!

So many good things about this property! House is large, 2 screened porches, plenty of room for 6 adults and 7 kids, which were 11 and under. The refrigerator was quite amazing. All our food for a week fit. Great hot tub, plenty of outdoor seating and a very nice dock. The kids caught many fish from the dock and all enjoyed the provided kayaks. Hosts very responsive to any questions we had. Many great memories made!

QUIET, CLOSE TO EVERYTHING

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The trails were close for riding, town of Winter is very close where we were able to visit friends, Hayward is a great day trip or short trip to check out and so much more. Right on the water and close to access if you wanted to drop a boat in. The neighbors have a dog named Winter, he startled us a few times as he wonders off to visit and Roam, but he loves treats if you do encounter him. House was very well stocked and labeled and perfect for a family or friends with sleeping arrangements.

Snowmobile weekend

My family stayed for a snowmobile weekend. The house was great for the 6 of us and our dog. The only negative was the driveway with all the snow they have. Was not able to turn around with our 23 foot enclosed trailer. Had to back on and out.
