My family and I had an amazing time and were impressed with how many amenities and activities there were to do here. We enjoyed Kayaking, playing games and relaxing together. It was very clean and we are already planning our trip to come back.
had a great weekend.... would love to come back in the summer, lake looks like fun
Great location and amenities
We had a wonderful time at the cabin. It was just as pictured/ described and had everything we could ever possibly need or want stocked. Looking forward to hopefully staying there again in the future
Really nice place, very confortable even during cold winter.
Property may need to ensure hot tub is properly clean it before new guests arrive. Overall cleaness is good but could improve. Cabin is great and easy to find....thinking already on next time to go.
Love Lodge on the Lake! Will be back yearly
Wanted to thank you for the incredible time my wife and I had at the Lodge on the Lake. This is the most wonderful place for us to relax and unwind. I know the Lodge is for multiple people but love the ability to go with just my wife and enjoy it. We went there 5 years ago and spent the week with family visiting for the final weekend. That was our 20th anniversary. The family is still talking about how wonderful it was! We had a version of the show "Chopped" which we called "Hocked" where we had a contest to make S'mores with the basket of ingredients we selected ahead of time. I found out my sister in Law has the same passion for Ping pong. We now have a play off every time we can! We had a pumpkin carving contest! Clear nights means amazing stars since so little light pollution. Having kayaks and the canoe we brought meant spending a lot of time on the water. Fishing was a great extra as well. Years ago, when my father was alive, we spent a lot of time "plugging" for Bass in Canada and other areas. This lake is perfect for the same type of fishing. I feel like my dad is with me when I fish this way since he taught me and we both enjoyed spending time fishing together. I got to perpetuate this type of fishing with family here in the past. That is a special feeling and furthers my father's legacy.
We have been to numerous cabins for years in Hocking Hills and have been to most of the parks and sites in the region. Though we like the attractions, we are content to just stay and relax at the Lodge with all that it has.
This year, My wife surprised me a week ahead of our 25th anniversary with 3 nights at your wonderful Lodge on the Lake. I spent the week getting prepared with lists of everything we needed. If you talk to my wife, she will tell you how I become the Chevy Chase of vacation! When I talked to you and you were able to extend our stay another day, you not only made my day, you made my year. Again fishing was a big part of me spending time with my father who has been gone for 30 years. I used lures my Dad had used and caught fish on them! The Kayaks were wonderful and I have now mastered fishing in a Kayak. We had a number of deer watch us as we fished in the evening. We are already talking about a yearly visit to the Lodge at the same time of year. I highly recommend this Lodge and know people who want this type of seclusion, relaxation, and the tranquility on the lake.
My family enjoys our stay at the Lodge on the Lake and we plan on returning again. There were two problems that we had and since they are both hazards I want to report them. First, the lodge looked good when we arrived and unpacked our vehicles. When I turned on the front stove burner to start cooking the burner caught on fire from the food left in the burner tray. Thankfully buy the time we found the fire extringer the fire burned out. We then cleaned the other trays. The second and a little more concerning is on the left side of the house, by the HVAC unit are 2 yellow jacket nexts. One slightly smaller than the other. My daughter in law has a bee alergy and was prevented from enjoying the deck where the swing and chairs are because of the yellow jackets flying around. Other than these two problems the place is ideal for my family. Thanks Melinda Nutter
