Centerport GetAway is a privately owned 2250 square foot vacation home with central heating and air conditioning that sets on a large watert frount lot. The cabin has five bedrooms, four full bathrooms. The master bedroom has a queen size bed adjoining a full bathroom with a garden tub. The second bedroom has a full size bed. The second full bathroom is centeraly located on first level. Bedroom three , four and five are located upstairs. Bedroom three has a twin bed. Bedrooms four has a full size bed and an adjoining full bath. Bedroom five has a king size bed and also has an adjoining full bath. The loft has a game area and a sleep sofa. This spacious property has a fully stocked kitchen, full size washer and dryer, dining room, gas fireplace. There is a large lake side deck with gas and charcoal grills and sitting area. Outside enjoy a large yard perfect for yard games and other activities. There is a pier which allows the ease of docking you watercraft. Pontoon boat is avaliable for rent if desired. Near restaurants , golf, Chimney Rock and Auburn football. Beautiful and welcoming property for a group or family looking to have a wonderful time enjoying Lake Martin, quiet and peaceful neighborhood.

Peaceful family weekend

This is the second time we’ve stayed there. House is well-kept and always clean. Supplies are plentiful. We loved finding a few treats in the kitchen!! Would stay there again!

Beautiful house! Very clean with a thoughtfully stocked kitchen! Everything was neat and tidy inside and out! Beds were so comfy, with only a small snafu over 1 bed size being smaller than we thought. Bathrooms were wonderful, and we LOVED staying in this amazing home! Would definitely stay here again for our next family reunion!!

Graduation weekend

Excellent location and proximity to Auburn. The view is beautiful and the deck and/or dock are lovely to relax on. The owners have thought of every amenity inside and outside. They even left snacks for our group! We will definitely be back to this property. We highly recommend.

Great Stay

This wonderful vacation rental was well stocked with toiletries and towels and the host even left ample snacks and fresh fruit for our stay. A very nice touch. The property was very clean and comfortable with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors.

Waverunner trip

the house is super clean, well decorated, and very spacious. it was well stocked with linens and towels, ziplock bags, and free snacks. all appliances worked great. we had 5 trucks and PWC trailers. the launch ramp was on the property and there was plenty of room to park our trucks and trailers. lots of restaurants nearby. and Donald was a great host and communicated with us in a timely manner. we have been doing this annual waverunner trip at lakes over the southeast for 11 years now and this was the very best fit so far!

Great Memorial Day weekend

Easy communication, great location. Very comfortable and well kept. Dock was a big plus to anchor our boat for the weekend and plenty of space to park the trailer! We will be back again!

Lake Martin

Wonderful home, we have rented several homes & have never received the hospitality this home had. Is a very well stocked home. Is a perfect layout for multiple people and the views are beautiful. We would definitely rent again.

Awesome Place!

The house was so Wonderful! It was stocked with such intent, so nicely organized and decorated. The beds were comfy, they even gave us a welcome basket and had aloe vera available in the closet. The new bars of soap in every bathroom was so nice!! 10/10 would stay again!

Perfect House for a family

This house was perfect for my entire family, very kid and child friendly. Very well stocked with all the paper products, cleaning items, cups and paper plates, even a goodie basket of snacks were there when we got there. Clean and comfortable. It's a Great location, just a short boat ride to chimney rock, several marinas.

Great Cabin on the lake

The cabin was very well apportioned. All basic necessities were provided and much more. From a coffee pot with filters and coffee, welcome snacks, soap and shampoo for the bathrooms, to grills, everything you need is provided. The layout was great for our family and the location was excellent. We will definitely stay again when we visit the area!

Great Family Time

This was a great place for a family get together. The house was so nice, clean and had plenty of room. It was so well stocked, better than any place I’ve been. They had thought of everything, even a first aid kit, that we had to use. I’m so glad because I didn’t have what I needed with me.I have been on several vacations and stayed in nice places but this was one of the best.The welcome snack tray was a bonus, There was fresh fruit and lemons and limes on the counter. The owner was very nice and we had no problems communicating.I would definitely recommend this lovely place.We had such a nice time. We look forward to going back.

10/10 recommend!!! We had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at this property! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and fully stocked with everything we could possibly need — from kitchen essentials to cozy blankets and thoughtful touches throughout.The location was perfect — quiet and peaceful, the views were a highlight of our trip. One of the stand out features was having the boat rental right at the house. Being able to hop on the boat and enjoy the lake was the best. Communication with the host was seamless. They were incredibly responsive, helpful, and made sure we had all the information we needed for a smooth check-in and stay.We’ve stayed at several vacation rentals, and this was by far one of the best. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable, and well-appointed home away from home. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

The Perfect Cabin

Our stay was more than we expected. The owner was extremely nice and right on it if we needed anything. The cabin had everything we needed. In addition, we have never stayed in a cabin that stocked with everything else you would need such as styrofoam plates, solo cups, napkins, plastic utensils, ziplocks, plastic wrap, tin foil, and etc. Every room was was set up very nice, each bathroom had large trays filled with normal size shampoos, conditioners, soaps, peroxide, body wash, body lotion, aloe vera, etc. We rented their boat which fit all eight of us and had a great time together. I am definitely planning on staying there again.

Better Than Expected!

We had a wonderful stay at this lake home. The location is perfect and close to all the key points of interest on the lake. They layout of the home was perfect for our family which included a set of grandparents, 4 kids, and me and my husband. Kids were upstairs and adults were downstairs. We enjoyed cooking out and playing cornhole in the backyard. The home came very well stocked with lots of snacks, bathroom and kitchen products. It was such a pleasant surprise! The home is in great shape. The option to rent their boat was a major plus. We had a great time! Would definitely stay here again.

Exceptional

We felt welcomed from the moment we walked into the house: the lights were on, the A/C was on so it was very comfortable. The amenities for us were the best I have ever found in a rental house. Each bathroom had a lovely basket filled with extra toilet paper, lotion, soap and a hair dryer. The kitchen was stocked skin plates, forks, snacks, apples, lemons, ziplock bags, condiments, and many other items that left us surprised and delighted. There were plenty of towels and pillows! The house is situated right on the lake so we rented a boat and spent the day on the lake. We also used the grill on the large back deck. The only slight negative is that there is no A/C upstairs, so it got a little warm at night, but otherwise, we loved our stay!!!

PERFECT. Best stay I've ever had.

I've been renting lakehouses on Martin for game weekends for over 15 years, and without a doubt this was the best house rental experience that I've had! Every aspect was perfect in the house, the location, the Property Management, etc. Most of the bedrooms have private full bathrooms which is great. Location is a very easy ~35min drive to campus. Quiet portion of the lake. Well appointed and well stocked house - all you need to bring is food and misc (spices, oils etc if you're into that), because it's well stocked with EVERYTHING you could need in the kitchen - from above average knives and actual silverware, to plasticware and plates/bowls/etc, food storage containers, foil/plastic wrap, ziplocs, chip clips, snacks, etc. I was shocked. It was really like visiting a friend's home for the weekend. We had 5 adult males and never felt in any way crowded. Could probably have had a few spouses without getting crowded, maybe even a couple kids on the fouton. And beyond all of that, the house itself is very beautiful and cozy yet spacious - great heat/AC, no rattling doors/windows, solid deck, etc. Here's how much we enjoyed it - the only negative that was suggested was that the shower head was a little low and guests over 6' tall may have to duck a little to wash their head. That's it, That's the worst thing we could think of. Period. Looking forward to next stay!

Peace during my niece’s wedding

Our host Donald was so accommodating. When I text him he’d answer right away (even before we got there). At one point, Donald came out at 10pm to check our water. It ended up being the entire area, but it was fixed by morning. He was very polite and even gave us some history about the area. The house was absolutely beautiful and fully stocked. I was surprised on how well stocked (I mean toilet paper, paper plates, cups, fruit, snacks, coffee, sugar, pots, pans, grill, foil, grill utensils! You name it and it was there. My brother, rented a house across the street and my cousins rented the house a couple blocks down, and had to do a lot of grocery shopping. They two were impressed with our house. The lake was beautiful, the view was beautiful, and I got to spend some real quality time with my family. My dad was just diagnosed with cancer, so this is really important to us. My dad enjoyed himself. Anybody looking for a Vrbo, I definitely recommend Donald Taunton’s place. The only thing we didn’t know about, but it was not a problem, was that the king size bed was a converted waterbed. It was still very comfortable, on the soft side. The Bedroom downstairs and one upstairs had full size beds. What he didn’t tell us is was that there was a futon also in the loft upstairs, if anybody needed more sleeping room. We had more beds than we needed it. The house was very clean, and we felt comfortable staying here. Thank you again.
