At Smith Mountain, you can hike to the top of Smith Mountain and climb its historic and newly restored Fire Tower. On a clear day there is a 50 mile view!
The property is only one hour from Montgomery, two hours from Atlanta, 75 minutes from Birmingham, and 25 minutes from Auburn. Numerous great restaurants are only a few minutes away. Enjoy comfort and convenience like nowhere else. In fact, you cannot be anywhere else on the lake, and be as close to Auburn and Atlanta. This property is ideal for two, or three families, or three or four couples, wanting to share expenses and fun! This outstanding 1300' peninsula waterfront property is actually four lake lots combined into a "one of a kind" lake property. It looks out on spectacular south, west, and north facing BIG WATER views of Lake Martin. You literally can see for several miles. Plus, you enjoy end-of-the road privacy as well!
There are two large piers. They have the reputation of being two of THE BEST fishing piers in the entire eastern part of Lake Martin. The piers' year round deep water is what bass, bream, catfish, and crappie just love. Many a huge stringer of fish has been caught from them. This property includes a large, private, 18' wide concrete boat ramp and launch area with a boat docking pier in a protected cove on the north side of the peninsula. The gentle slope of the boat ramp makes it an ideal wading and swimming area for your little ones. The property is also only 1/4 mile from a public boat ramp as well. The pier in front of the house has a 16x16 floating dock with stairs that is great for swimming and sunbathing. For you fitness minded folks there is a private roadway encompassing the spectacular peninsula point is perfect for walking or jogging. The house is fully furnished, including washer, dryer, three TVs with cable and DVDs. Wi-Fi also available. Bed and bath linens are provided. The kitchen and walk-in pantry are stocked with all essential appliances, cookware, dinnerware, and utensils. The two story home includes on ground level the master bedroom with private bath and laundry area, eat-in kitchen, dining and family room, and second bath. On the upper level, there are three bedrooms, a third bath, a kitchenette, and a screened-in porch. The porch is the perfect place for babies and toddlers to play in safety and in shade.
The house sleeps nine very comfortably. The MBR has a king-sized bed, the second BR has a queen sized bed, the third BR has two twin beds, and the fourth BR has three twin beds. There are both covered, as well as uncovered patio areas. The patio areas are furnished with three tables which seat 12, a bar/pub table with bar stools, a sofa glider, and seven patio chairs. There is an electric and a charcoal grill. Board and card games are on hand.
RENTAL PONTOON BOAT AVAILABLE:
Another great amenity available is a 21' pontoon boat with a 70HP 4 stroke engine, with seating capacity of 12. It comes furnished with life jackets. The boat will be personally delivered to the property with a full tank of gas. A boat lease agreement is required. The rental charges are one day---$300; two or more days--$-250/day. There is also a fuel surcharge fee of $60. A 4-person paddle boat is also available to rent at $40/ day.
RENTAL TERMS FOR THE PROPERTY:
---Must be 25 years of age to rent the property. Age verification is required.
---Two night minimum, except for holiday weekends, when a three night minimum is required.
---Check-In is at 3 pm; Check-Out is at 10 am.
---ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING is allowed indoors.
---Pets considered on a case by case basis.
---Reservation accepted and posted on calendar upon receipt of 1/2 of total amount due: 1/2 of rent, cleaning and laundry service fee, and 5% state lodging tax.
---Remaining balance due two weeks prior to arrival date.
