Lakefront cabin with private dock and fire pit - Hidden Bear Cabin
Hidden Bear Cabin is a cozy lakefront getaway with a private dock that sits on the calm, inviting waters of Island Park Reservoir. The house is located high in the Rocky Mountains on a gated Island that features a common lodge for guest use. The cabin is fully equipped with everything you need, has a full kitchen, coffee maker, toaster, you name it. Outside the cabin is a fire pit & dining area, plenty of seating and beautiful views. Yellowstone National Park is just a short 40 minute drive away.
The main floor of this beautiful two story cabin features a bedroom with a queen bed and a shared bathroom. This floor also houses a full-sized kitchen, large dining room table and a spacious family room with a fireplace, TV and plenty of room for gathering with the whole family.
The loft is the perfect space for the kids to sleep. It has 2 queen beds for that fun sleepover type feel and a full bathroom just for the kids. Here there is also a love seat for relaxing and reading a book and a beautiful view of the lake.
Guests will have access to the entire house with a private fire pit and outdoor areas but will share access of the dock with the house next door which can also be rented as a pair for getting multiple groups together. Look for the listing titled "Bunk House Cabin" for availability and pricing. Guests will also have access to the Lake Side Lodge which is for community use. Here you'll also be able to find rentals for the lake and a full service restaurant and bar.
I give my guests space but I live in the area year around and am available when needed.
This cabin is sure to fulfill your dreams of lakeside living in the Rockies. Enjoy boating, fishing and the endless network of ATV trails that you can access right from the cabin. Yellowstone National Park is a 40 minute drive through beautiful country and is a must see on your vacation to Island Park. Located on the calm, inviting Island Park Reservoir waters with Blue Ribbon fishing just down the way and a semi private beach and dock right out the back door, it doesn't get better than this.
Guests will need their own transportation to get to the cabin and around the area as there are no public transportation or ride share services available in the area. There is free on-site parking.
NOTE: This property sits on the cove side of the Island, and later in the summer the water level can drop and recede based on previous snow levels and use. There is free wifi but note that there is not cable TV available at the cabin. Cable TV is available at the Lakeside Lodge. Cell phones do work at the cabin should you need them. There is no A/C.

Cabin and property is beautiful. The cabin decor has a nice cozy feel. Enjoyed the fire pit and saw a lot of stars in sky. Communication with the host was excellent. We will definitely be back.

Thanks for being such awesome guests! Your group is welcome back any time!
Yes, it's a couple of miles off the main stretch, but what a reward at the end. A cozy cabin on the lake with access to kayaks. A perfect place to get away from it all, yet close enough to Yellowstone for more adventure.

So glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for being such awesome guests!
Great cabin! 45 minute drive to Yellowstone, but it’s worth it! Right on the lake. Fire pit, cornhole, kayaks, canoe, games, and all the kitchen necessities!
My boys wanted to stay longer!

I'm glad you had a great time, it was a pleasure to host your group!
The cabin itself was great. We didn’t know until we got there that the water level was so low our private dock was sitting on the dirt. Our fishing trip didn’t turn out the way we thought. But it was still a great time.

Unfortunately lower water levels like that can happen so late in the season. I'm glad you still enjoyed the cabin.
We loved this place!! My family did not want to leave. We played in the water, had a private dock, access to kayaks/canoes/ and life jackets. Cornhole game and fire pit. Breathtaking views. Definitely will be returning.
