We had a fantastic stay at this property, and it provided us with some much needed rest and relaxation in a wonderfully quiet and peaceful setting. The breathtaking view was easily the absolute best part of the property (spent my early mornings with a cup of coffee and a book, constantly glancing up to take in the view), and while the pool is on the smaller side, it was incredibly relaxing to unwind in at the end of a long day. Both the main house and the casita were in great condition, and having the separate casita was a huge plus, giving us the perfect amount of space and privacy in the evenings.

Wow! What an unbelievable view! Gail was a great host. She met us right when we got there and went over everything with us. She was extremely responsive to any questions that came up. We were very comfortable. It was really nice having the beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler to use. The “pay it forward” bar was a nice touch. Would definitely rent again.

Major set back when one first sees the place given expectations that were based on VRBO marketing pictures and descriptions. Too many items were knowingly broken. The view was spectacular.

Great trip!

This property is BEAUTIFUL! The view of Sapphire Bay/beach is phenomenal and Gail's place is very comfortable. There are the understable signs of wear and tear from a location that is exposed to the elements, but the venue is gorgeous. Beach is about a 3 minute drive down some switchbacks.Pool is perfect for a small group and hot tub is very nice.

Great Stay!

The hosts, Gail and her husband Curlston, made our stay worth while. We were a party of 2 adults and 2 children, and we were very satisfied. Location, Location, Location, the property is located in Red Hook and very close to the beaches, the ferry, shopping and restaurants. The property has two levels, great for couples. All of our needs and concerns were handled quickly and professionally. I recommend this property and hope to return.

Ocean Kaleidoscope

It was a little difficult to find the property, but hosts were very accommodating and helpful when we arrived. They were always available to answer questions and presented us with many options of places to go, and things to do. Very kind and easy to work with. It was a very nice and relaxing vacation.

Beautiful/ relaxing

This was a beautiful property. Great views, pool, hot tube, outdoor eating area. Owner's helped us with anything we needed, gave us info on things to door, overall great friendly people!!! If there was one thing that was a negative, the walk to the beach we only did once because of the extreme hill and the crazy walk . It was very difficult and alittle scary with traffic.

Hi Kara! Thank you for your uplifting review of your stay! While the neighborhood road is paved and safe (hilly yes, because you know islands are like that 😂) , I always recommend guests rent a car to get around our main island roads for the very reasons you stated. However we were happy to have on site taxi service available to accommodate your transportation needs. I hope the good memories you created with your group balance out the voluntary road “trauma” you experienced. Come see us again and please consider any one of the MANY car rental recommendations. ☺️

Great views, Great reunion.

We stayed here with our adult son and grandson who live on island. The separation of the living quarters made for a very comfortable time. The kitchen was as well equipped as any we have ever encountered in a rental. Great outdoor space and plants! Gail is a good communicator and host.

Hi Jimmy. I appreciate your positive comments about your stay, property amenities and experience. I'm happy that you were able to enjoy the time well spent with your family. I'm curious however about the reason for your 1-star rating? If there other specific reasons why you rated the property this low I'm very happy to review and amend for future travelers. Best to you all for the Holiday Season... Stay safe and be well! - Gail

Beautiful birthday celebration

Celebrated my mom’s 70th birthday. The house was set up perfectly for my mom to have her own space while my husband and I also had our own space. Our favorite part was the view and spending our mornings watching the storms move in and out. Gail was very accommodating. Would return again.
