This spacious mountain retreat boasts 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, a stocked trout stream, pond and hiking/biking trails! Situated on 300 acres of private land, you will have ample space to explore and unwind. Nestled in the tranquil woods, this home offers an enchanting escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Here you can immerse yourself in nature's beauty while enjoying the comforts of modern living.

The house is perched on the mountainside, surrounded by lush greenery and breathtaking views. A highlight of our property is the pristine trout stream that runs through it, providing an idyllic setting for fishing enthusiasts or anyone seeking tranquility by the water's edge. Step inside our welcoming abode, and you'll be greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The interior boasts a modern organic contemporary design, blending natural elements with modern comforts.

The large covered front porch is a welcoming and inviting space that exudes charm and relaxation. As you approach the porch, you'll notice its expansive size, stretching across the front of the house with a beautiful view of the pond.

Fully equipped kitchen: Prepare delicious meals using our modern appliances and ample cooking space. Whether you're a culinary enthusiast or prefer simple snacks, our kitchen has everything you need.

The host requires you complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds, gather used towels, and store extra beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights, lock the doors, and return the keys
If able to - please remove linens from beds and place them in laundry baskets found in each bedroom.
Please place all used towels in the shower stalls of the bathrooms
Please remove all garbage and recycling and place it in the large bins located in the carport behind the house.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
The pond is fishing catch and release only. Please do not try to catch the Koi, they have lived there for decades and love their home!
No using fireworks or creating fires outside the firepit. It's a forest property and no one wants to be responsible for starting a forest fire.
Please respect our property as you would your own. Have a great time but use the house and resources wisely so you can return for another fun stay!

Penn State family football weekend

Had a great family weekend at this property. House is beautiful and very clean. Host were amazing and communication was awesome. Highly recommend this house for a getaway!

Absolutely amazing property, surrounded by wilderness, the deck was great for hosting 10 of us at night. Beds were extremely comfortable. Any questions I had were answered right away. Will definitely make it a point to come here again

Grange fair family reunion 2024

Everything was outstanding. The beds were so comfortable several of us have already ordered the same mattress for our own homes. Very well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. It looks like the owners used an interior decorated it was just that beautiful! Loved sitting out on the porch with our morning coffee. Owners were so easy and nice to work with!

Awesome rental tucked away in the woods...

House was even better then the pictures! Sonia stocked it with everything we could possibly need! What a nice gesture, and unusual for most VRBO's. The house is out there, and I arrived after dark in the rain so missed the driveway on the first pass. Place is the perfect spot to gather with friends or family, definitely recommend!!

This property is beautifully and thoughtfully designed to be a perfect rental. We had plenty for room for all 13 people to sleep comfortably, share the bathrooms, and gather in the living space. It was a bonus to enjoy the pond and the woods. It was an easy distance to travel to Penn State for graduation. Our hostess anticipated our needs and we lacked for nothing and everything was easy to find and clearly labeled.

Annual Fantasy Football & Penn State Game

I brought 8 friends to stay at the property for our annual fantasy football event and to attend the Penn State game. The hosts were exceptionally helpful leading up to and during our stay. They were able to assist us with area contacts for virtually everything we needed. The property itself is beautiful and well-maintained with lots of amenities that made our stay absolutely awesome in every way. We will definitely come back! Thank you, Sonia and Jamie!!!

Best VRBO in State College Area

We recently stayed here to celebrate our Daughter's Graduation from Penn State. We were a group of 15 including family and friends for the weekend We had was a celebratory toast to the graduate as well serving breakfast and dinner at the house. We were delighted the house was so well appointed, as we were hosting and wanted everything to be perfect This VRBO was by far the most luxurious we have stayed at In the area (and there have been several) The remaining small group stayed an additional day, and we all said we would love to come back !! Drive over to campus was easy Host is VERY responsive and thoughtful. They really care about their property, and it shows You will not regret staying here

Why stay anywhere else?

Fantastic! We had a big group - 5 couples and a couple of college students - for Penn State whiteout. Facilities had everything: sleeping arrangements, cooking, kitchen, entertainment, porch. We grilled, cooked, laughed, lounged on the porch, sipped whiskey and wine. Hosts were very communicative, helpful and responsive. Place was spotless. Several acres of property including a lake and trails. Easy access to Beaver Stadium. The group was so pleased we discussed renting the property when there wasn’t a football game. Great retreat in a beautiful setting. Best VRBO we’ve ever rented.

Beautiful House and Property

We stayed here for the Penn State homecoming game with 14 total guests including 6 children under 5. Sonia was extremely communicative and accommodating. Baby gates and a pack and play were made available. As soon as we stepped in the door we knew we had made the right choice. Everything was perfect and no detail was missed. We took advantage of the outdoor fire pit, covered porch (including propane grill) and cornhole set. The weather was lousy but it didn’t matter since the place was so nice. I highly recommend staying here and plan on coming back with a large group again.

Best Vacation Home You'll Find

This vacation home is probably the best you'll ever stay in. The interior design is gorgeous (as good or better than the photos) from top to bottom. Furnishings are top notch. The showers were amazing, beds and pillows comfortable, and the house is amply stocked. Jamie and Sonia are very responsive and thoughtful hosts, even leaving small gifts for my husband's birthday weekend. We had a family get together, and everyone immediately felt at home. The property boasts a pond and kayaks are included (perfect for younger children), trails, and trout stream. Jamie and Sonia even left out cornhole and a children's size soccer net and soccer ball for our kids. They thought of everything! We 100% would book again--and plan to!

Perfect stay for Penn State events

We stayed at this property for a Penn State football game with friends and family. The house and property were amazing! It felt like we were the first guests to stay there. The house and property were extremely clean and well equipped. We needed to prepare food in the kitchen for the game. It was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils and spices. The bedrooms were nicely sized with very comfortable mattresses, bedding and towels. The fire pit and hot tub in the backyard were great. It stormed one night and we sat outside on the front deck and were well protected from the rain. The property is very private and quiet. The only problem we had was running out of time and not being able to enjoy the surrounding property for a hike. The host was quick to respond to any questions. We would absolutely request to stay here again.
