This beautiful 17th century brick apartment is the perfect place for a family getaway. A full kitchen stocked with pots, pans, dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, etc., etc. makes meals and cooking a breeze. A dishwasher, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, Kuerig coffee maker finishes the kitchen. The dining table graces the far end of the kitchen. The dining table comfortably seats 6 but more chairs can be added to accommodate any size group.
A sectional sofa, a large chair plus an oversized coffee table fill the living room creating a haven after a long day of attractions, shopping, or visiting.
A powder room finishes the first floor.
On the 2nd floor you will find 4 bedrooms and a full bathroom.
In 3 of our bedrooms you will find queen beds. The 4th bedroom boasts an iron daybed. The main bed is a full size and the pull out trundle is a twin size. This bed will sleep 3 and is absolutely perfect for children or young adults. Bed linens, blankets, and pillows are provided for all beds & rooms.
The bathroom on this floor has a roomy corner shower, sink , & toilet. Towels, washcloths, & toilet paper are provided.
The laundry closet completes the 2nd floor & is available for guest use.
Outside you will find lots of room to explore and enjoy the simplicity of Lancaster County. There is a large yard for the children's games, a firepit(a starter bundle of firewood is provided & more available for purchase) plus gardens & flowers. On this farm there are 85 acres of tillable land so if you visit in the summertime you may witness the tractors or harvesters in the fields. The Pequea Creek flows through the back of the property. A creek large enough for paddle boats or kayaks. This is no small stream:) Beside the creek we have a picnic area. The boats, picnic area, firepit, etc. are available for our guests to use by permission. *This area is also rented out to local groups during the summer so it may have limited availability*
You will also find on our farm horses, ponies, cattle, dogs, rabbits, & cats. The animals belong to the Amish family who will be your host family and live on the property. You may have a friendly dog or 2 come & greet you upon arrival or throughout your stay. They will love your attention, but you are not obligated to give it to them.
