Quiet Lofted Cabin 4 Miles from Edom, an Art Community.

Peace and Quiet in the East Texas woods just minutes form Edom and Ben Wheeler. This hand crafted, lofted 1 bedroom cottage was hand built by the owners and is located 1/10 of a mile off the road and is ideal for those wanting to relax and read a book, watch wildlife or just relax after a day trip.

Included is all linens, towels, dishes, cookery, some spices, a stocked pantry and stove and microwave. Also has a gas grill. Don't forget to peak in the freezer for Blue Bell.

Provided for breakfast at your leisure is coffee, milk, fruit, farm fresh eggs, and cereal.

We do have a 2 night minimum stay requirement.

Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Great Hosts of a Quaint Cabin

This cabin seems far from everything but it is actually an easy drive from the DFW area. The hosts were very attentive to our needs. We enjoyed sitting and eating on the porch as well as cooking and relaxing inside.

I cannot say enough good things about the hospitality of the hosts or the peace and beauty of the cabin itself. We were in town for the TAS 2026 conference, and stayed with our three dogs and one cat. Not many people are comfortable hosting so many furbabies, so this was a blessing. For the cabin itself- I grew up in East Texas and spent summers at my grandparents’ place in the piney woods. This gorgeous cabin, with all of its windows and balconies to enjoy the fresh air and gorgeous views, felt like a much-needed homecoming that sent peace down to my soul. I plan to stay again in the future when we can devote all our time to the area, as there are so many interesting things we passed but didn’t get a chance to explore. An absolute one of a kind stay that has set a new standard for us!

Absolutely adorable little cabin! There are not enough pictures in the listing to get a good feel but suffice it to say it had everything needed for the 2 of us and our pup. Bedroom upstairs is on an open loft so keep that in mind if you don't have the same sleep schedules! Kitchen was perfect - we cooked every meal for 3 days, including using the gas grill! What a charming place, we didn't' want to leave! Thank you!!
