About Cindy Barnard
After many fun years in the health care industry (research pharmacist , pharmaceutical sales and marketing) , I moved from Colorado to enjoy my family ties in Oregon --where my grandfather homesteaded. I live full time in Ashland, Oregon. I enjoy travel, walking cooking,, gardening, bridge, theater, good friends and my doggy, Honey.
Cindy Barnard purchased this Cottage in 2007
Why Cindy Barnard chose Waldport
I loved to join my cousin in her home here at Seal Rock after moving to Oregon. When her happy, long stay (23+ years) in this home ended, I purchased the cottage to enjoy with friends. I have had fun renovating and invigorating the home to share as a rental with others in this special spot. I hope you enjoy your time here. It is a fascinating area.
What makes this Cottage unique
Walking with my grandsons, friends and my lab on this beach is wonderful--no matter what the weather! I can watch them play and run for miles and know that this area of the Oregon coast is especially safe and friendly for my loved ones. Good coffee, family, friends and doggy-- beautiful sunsets. Wow! I am blessed!!

Quiet and lush setting
nothing fancy but all we needed! Best part is the short but beautiful walk down a quiet street to easy access to beach. My dog and I beached combed for hours! Thanks Cindy, it truly is a quiet retreat!
PS only reason I did not give it a 5 is because I don't want people to think this a luxury home, but who needs that at the beach!
Thanks for the feedback!! — nope, it’s not luxury! Never wanted that at the beach.. How could I make it dog friendly and reasonably priced with all that silk and foo-foo! Ha!
Lovely guests like you guys and your pup make it fun for all of us.. thanks again!
Charming, cozy and convenient!
Our stay this last weekend was lovely. The cottage is cozy, inviting and snug: perfect for cold and rainy days at the coast! It’s also perfect for enjoying beautiful and sunny days as well! There was so much natural light in the house, it made greeting each day cheerful! My only “negative” is that there wasn’t a third bedroom! I’d love to come back with my gal friends for a ladies weekend, but being that there are 6 of us, it would be a no go I’m sure ;) beautiful home, Cindy! Thank you for sharing!
What a glorious treat to receive your review, so glad you enjoyed your time at the cottage! Come back anytime!
My Cousin Cottage
Cindy was very prompt with her responses and very friendly! The cottage was super clean and cozy! It had everything you could want. Just a short walk to the beach and a short drive to shopping and dining. Loved it and would book it again. Thanks Cindy!
Cute and comfortable place to stay
Very nice place and close to beach access. The house had everything we needed. Even with the rainy weather, we had a great time just being away from the hustle of the real world. Thanks for letting us stay!
Thank you for this nice review— glad you had fun!! The rain and fog on the Oregon Coast don’t always come at the best time on OUR vacation calendars, but those magnificent forests and gurgling streams’ calendars rule!!
Thanks for the understanding and the feedback,
Had a great time
