Situated in a very historic old part of London, within a few minutes walking radius you will find possibly the most famous of all London attractions, Tower Bridge (absolutely stunning up close) as well as the Tower of London (centuries of history) Spitalfields (markets) Brick Lane (curry houses and antiques) St Katherine Docks (marina, restaurants) and dozens of restaurants, fast food outlets, bars, shops and parks.
The closest large supermarket is about a 3 minute walk away.
The apartment is located about a 5-6 minute walk from the local metro/subway station – Tower Hill, which is in Zone 1 (the most central area) on the Circle (yellow) and District (green) lines. There are also lots of bus connections going into the City of London, as well as buses to take you to Fleet Street, Oxford Street and beyond. Canary Wharf is also conveniently accessed either by DLR (overground train) or the bus, or a leisurely stroll along the Thames riverfront.
If you really want to live like a local, there is always the option of hiring one of the thousands of blue 'Boris' bikes available in the city centre - there are three bike docking stations just around the corner!
