Henderson & Moore Family

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved this house. The location is perfect. We loved the views from the front and back porches. Angie and Buddy are the sweetest hosts. We have rented beach houses in the past and this house is by far is the most comfortable with the friendly hosts.

We hope to be back next summer. Thank you Angie and Buddy for welcoming us into your home.

Amazing beach house

  • 5 of 5

Angie and Buddy, thank you so much for sharing you house with us. We rented this house for my grandson's graduation, and loved our stay. The views from both the back porch and front porch was beautiful, and the weather was pretty good for most of the week. We saw dolphins swimming, shrimp boats, and the oil Riggs were all lit up in the evenings. We just walked across the street to the beach and could fish off the back porch. I don't think we could or would want to stay any where else. Thank you so much, Angie and Buddy, for your hospitality and opening you house to us.

very comfortable beach house!

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed at Endless Summer and had a fantastic time. It was myself, my husband and our toddler, and we could not have had a more comfortable experience. Expecially since our daughter got sick the very first night so we had to take it a bit easy and spend a little more time just hanging out around the house. We couldn't have been in a better place for that. We had the enormous covered front porch to enjoy our meals or sit in the rockers and blow bubbles with the little one and watch the beach goers and waves, or the even bigger back porch with the bay and the canal. It was such a beautiful and comfortable home that you really didn't mind not getting out.

Of course when you did there was plenty to do. The estuarium was fantastic for the whole family as well as the zoo in near by Gulf Shores and the Science Center in Mobile. There's more we would have liked to do including the Fort and some of the local shops so we'll definitely be planning a return trip.

Also, if you're a family with young kids traveling to the island, have no worries, there's a local store called the "Ship and Shore" that will have things like Children's Tylenol, kleenex, wipes (you name it) so you won't have to drive too far for last minute unexpected needs, it's a bit more expensive but it's a savior in a pinch.

We LOVED Endless Summer, recommend it for others, and will definitely be back!

ready to go back!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed last fall and loved the quietness of the whole area! The house is very spacious and if you don't see a tv in the living room in the pictures on the webpage, it is simply tucked behind cabinet doors. The owners are beyond nice, caring and wonderful. I loved looking for shells on the bayside, just down the street at the rear of the house, and the gulf side is just across the street from the front of the house. We rode the ferry one afternoon, walk-on, for only $5, to the Fort Morgan side and back. I could see the lighthouse in the distance. I loved going by the Dauphin Island red school. What a quaint, wonderful place. Endless Summer is the best place to stay while experiencing Dauphin Island. It's best though to remind yourself every day, "I don't live here. I don't live here." It will make leaving day a little easier to bear. Not much, but a little.

Endless Summer has a number of attractions that are not found in many beach houses, such as a private boat launch and dock out back on the canal, with front and back decks for just hanging out and relaxing and great access to the Gulf Beach across the street. This house provides fantastic storage areas underneath and spacious living space for just about any kind of gathering with convenient circle drive for easy in and out. Great night fishing & crabbing off the lighted bulkhead. If you are looking for a place like Panama City, this is not the place. This is a quiet, slow Island with a laid back atmosphere, easy access to the beach, and great for a walk or jog with great scenery along the way. There is a bike trail that runs the length of the island just outside the front door. Birdwatching is second to none on the island and home to one of the famous Audubon sanctuaries. Dauphin Island is also a winter home to numerous snowbirds that return year after year to their beautiful island home! (No pets please.)
