The property is totally first class - amazing. The unit is gorgeous....everything is perfect. We had an incredible and relaxing time. The owner is extremely responsive and great to deal with. I would highly recommend this condo!!!!!!

We had a blast. Very clean, well decorated, well maintained, well stocked and great amenities (TVs, cable, wifi, comfortable beds, 3 balconies with furniture, great views). Convenient location. Great beach. Beautiful pool. Secure.
This condo is much larger than most rentals available and the views are phenomenal. Much of the furniture is up-scale and very comfortable and it is well stocked for your convenience. One of the reviews said it had the best parking spot but it offers NO reserved parking. The VERY shallow pool is about waist deep at deepest section. The very brown smelly Gulf of Mexico water or the brown sand is not very inviting. Now let's talk about inside the condo... When two or more people come into the condo hungry and try to get in the VERY small kitchen just to fix a sandwich....forget it. I have never seen a kitchen so small; The condos 1/2 this size have larger kitchens. The linens photograph well but have seen better days and have what looks like blood stains on guest bed comforter and master dust ruffle is attached with large safety pins that show. The third bedroom bunk bed linens actually stunk and I was not comfortable putting my Granddaughter to sleep there. Oh and bring your own pillows because the ones provided are awful and stained with God knows what. The rugs need to be deep cleaned but yes I am somewhat picky about cleanliness. Now let's talk about the owner....seemed very pleasant although I was asked to fill out a rental application that asked for my annual income, soc sec #, weight, height, etc....REALLY! For a one week vacation rental??? I informed her that I was uncomfortable with it and she did agree to skip it. Regarding the legal aspects of this rental agreement, we were contacted mid-week and asked to leave early because she double booked. While we booked at the last minute and the other group booked several months in advance, the fact remains that we were both paid-in-full and we were already there! Why should we have to leave? I can only guess that the tenants we had to vacate for were booked at the higher rate and money talks even when you claim to be a Christian. Although we were just there from Houston area, our prep with a severally allergic child was intensive and very costly to stock frig for a week. Owner is a lawyer and should never have even asked to break our agreement. Opps! (The movie Legally Blond comes to mind here) I have to say she did credit us for two nights because of the mistake and gave us a discounted rate from the beginning but she also ruined our final week-end plans. Unfortunately, regarding this owner, I have to say "BEWARE"

I did in fact double book for the last day–a mistake I’ve never made & I was completely mortified. I took full responsibility–I was heartsick about it & cried on the phone with you. I contacted 3 realtors & within two hours found a unit in the same building that was significantly more expensive. I was going to pay for it in full for the 3 or 4 nights you wanted even tho that far exceeded my obligation; I even offered to hire people to move your things. It was never about the money & of all renters I’ve ever had, you should know that. It was about doing the right thing–the people coming in after you booked in April. The unit I found for you wasn’t available for just 1 night, so it wasn’t an option for them. I am a Christian & am also a human being who made a mistake. When I told you I was going to refund you 2 days, which you didn’t expect, you acted so pleased. Re condition of the property, it is extremely high end. At the same time, it is in fact a beach rental-& impossible to keep pristine at all times. The bedding is from Neiman Marcus, Ralph Lauren, & Pottery Barn. Bedding can’t be dry cleaned & area rugs cleaned weekly with renters in & out within hours. There are a few dabs of make-up on the 2nd bedroom bedspread.It’s been cleaned. I'm unwilling to discard $600 bedding for a few spots. I also can’t buy pillows for everyone but they are less than 2 years old. I always travel with my own &, given allergies & preferences, I’d recommend that for you. Re parking, the posting is very clear as well as the info sheet I sent prior to your arrival. We sold the parking over a year ago & made no representations otherwise. There are 2 pics of the kitchen on VRBO so to complain about the size of it is just petty. I am personally deeply hurt by your review because I went way above & beyond for you to make it right. I thanked you for your grace & you responded with a hurtful reference to Legally Blond & warning others to ‘beware’ in dealing with me. Did I honestly do anything to deserve that? I made a mistake by double booking one night & then did everything humanly possible to make it right-financial restitution beyond what was required, locating another more expensive place for you & even hiring people move you.If that’s incorrect, please let me know. I’m sorry things are so hard for you; they're hard for everyone. No one's perfect. All I can do it apologize. I truly wish you the best.
My family and I just returned from Galveston, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in this unit. We frequent the Palisade Palms at least once a year, and this condo was amazing. It not only was well appointed, but perfect for enjoying entertaining friends and family in a luxury setting. The views were amazing, the furnishings very comfortable...we especially liked the game table seating area! My kids played cards and board games...and it was a joy to see them having fun and NOT looking at their phones! Further, my son turned 16 while we were there, and per his request, we enjoyed a lovely BBQ on the ocean-front balony. The kitchen had everything needed so I was able to make his favorite lemon cake from scratch - in celebration of his birthday. Also had a new truck parked downstairs and secured in the parking garage for him when he returned from a gulf fishing trip...the whole day was just really happy! As a side note, I had lost my Mom a few days before, and it was nice to relax in a peaceful setting while we all processed the somber news - but also spend time together as a family and focus on some of life's positives...A million thanks to the owners for such a great holiday....We definitely will be back! Tips to Staying at this Condo
We stayed here over July 4th weekend and we were very impressed with the owners, the condo, the facility and the beach. This place is definitely a 5 STAR Rental. Prepare to live like a rock star when you stay here.
-The owners have the best parking space in the whole complex. Their parking space is literally steps away from the elevator. We did not realize this and we carted all our luggage through the lobby, a long hallway, around some tight corners and then onto the elevator. Be smarter than me... Get the key and your parking pass. Then go down to level A parking garage and wind your way all the way to the very back left-hand side of the garage and you will see your assigned space. There are bell-boy carts inside the elevator area that you can use to carry your luggage. This is truly a nice feature!
-Be sure you get a key FOB for each person/couple that may be staying with you. You cannot go anywhere without needing it. There are 3 key FOBs in the room and the front desk will have the 4th one.
-To access the beach, you will need to get off the elevator at Level B. This level has a walkway that will take you to the beach. The owners have a locker just outside the elevators about 100 feet on your left. Open the grey metal door and you will see several dozen chain-link locker units. Their unit is number 7. In this locker you will find some chairs, floaties, balls, toys etc. You will definitely want to use the buggies to transport your items to the beach.
-As you exit the locker units, you will see a garden hose on a wall as you head toward the beach. (About 100' from the locker). This will come in handy when you are putting the items back in the locker. It is polite to rinse all the salt water and sand off the toys so they will last longer and not stink when the next guests arrive.
-We happen to bring our own 10x10 pop-up shade awning. We just left it out there overnight and had no issues. (We saw about 10 people doing this and all was well). You will want shade if you plan to stay out there for long. If you do not bring your own shade, you can rent an umbrella from a guy who puts them out at the beach and then comes by once he sees you sitting under it to collect his dues. By the way, there is an Academy Sports about 1.5 miles away on the seawall drive that sells these tents for about $59.
-Be on the lookout for a Kite-Surfer who lives in the building. He comes out every day and shows off his killer skills. His name is Kyle.

Enjoyed a chilly trip to Galveston and couldn't have been happier with this condo, with a view of both the gulf and the bay. Very well appointed and plenty of room for everyone. We had internet connectivity, netflixs, pandora, etc. There are plenty of beach and bath towels and the beds are very comfortable. Shari was delightful to work with and helped make our very last minute plans happen. Will book again when we next visit Galveston.

Pleasure Pier features 10 rides, including several roller coasters, a restaurant and snack options. It's just a short car ride or a nice beach walk from the condo.
