Location needs better maintenance. There are sunken places in the floor and blackwater is seeping up from beneath one of the bathrooms. Yard was overgrown, garage wall had been hit, and poison ivy is growing up along the fence. A lot of things were dirty: dishes, bathrooms, coffeemakers. You're getting this place for the space and the bathrooms for everybody, but make sure to bring your own cleaning supplies. I expected more for the price, honestly. Host was willing to communicate and help out when they could, but there was little they could do in the moment. I feel like a lot of the damage should have been mentioned in the description, especially the garage, and them not being upfront about it concerned me that they might try to blame the damage and filth on us.

Hey Robert, We are very for your experience. We communicatd to you that Garage Wall repair and one of the bathroom you mentioned has been scheduled for remodel for this week. Unfortonatily you stay happened right before it and this larger repair takes days and sometimes weeks. We also offered to do additional cleanup for any dirty supplies but that offer has been declined and we have been told that should be ok. We are sorry for your experience and we are determined to address all the issue that you mentioend.

We stayed at this house in June. The host was responsive to the issues we had. The bathroom floors in 2 of the bathrooms had soft spots, one of the showers had actual mold. One of the upstairs rooms had a window unit which helped cool that room off but the other upstairs room was rather warm. Some of the rooms didn’t seem to be cleaned well. I actually went to the dollar general to get laundry soap and Clorox wipes. The host did send someone out to look at the bathroom floors. Our host also offered back some of the cleaning fee and another small fee for other inconveniences but we never received it. This property had a perfect rating which is why I was shocked by the cleanliness when we arrived.

BEWARE before booking!! Even though this was a cheaper booking, I don't feel that we received what was advertised. Our stay was less than ideal. This unit was booked for my sales team with my wife and daughter traveling as well. I moved my wife and daughter to a hotel because when they pulled up (around 8:30ish) out front there were three men loitering around a car right in front of our house drinking beer and smoking weed. I spoke to them and they left shortly after, but the incident made my wife and daughter very uncomfortable. We also discovered on night 2 that several windows were unlocked adding to our security concerns. It also surprised me that the yard was so overgrown and there was trash piled up in the alley beside the garage. The inside had broken toilet paper holders, a white couch with brown stains on the arms. We saw spiders, cockroaches, and ants inside the unit during our stay. Also, the two king size beds have deep divots in the middle. Communicated most of this to the host but with a reply that just said that is horrible and not up to our standards. Since we were busy, I only got pictures of the overgrown yard.

We're sorry to hear your stay didn't meet expectations. The activity outside was on the public street, not something we can control or that reflects the neighborhood — we reviewed our Ring footage from that window and didn't see it, but we're glad it was resolved quickly. We take the window issue seriously and have since re-checked and secured every window in the unit. We also had the yard mowed and the alley cleared the same day you raised it, and the unit has been treated for pests. We wish these had been flagged during your stay — the toilet paper holder, couch staining, and mattress divots are all things we could have fixed on the spot. Since checkout, we've replaced the holder and scheduled the couch and mattresses for cleaning and replacement. We appreciate the detail in your feedback and have used it to tighten up our pre-arrival checks.

Business Meeting

We are a startup company ready to make some big waves and needed a place to stay in Indy for a slew of meetings. We decided to save money on hotel rooms and rented meeting spaces and get all of us in one VRBO. It actually worked out perfectly. The neighborhood was quiet, the house was clean and tastefully decorated, the coffee was a huge bonus, and we used the kitchen table as a board room table for our discussions. The house was centrally located so we were able to make all our appointments on-time without much effort. For our uses, this was a perfect solution. Thank you Katelyn!

Overall this was a great place to stay and the hosts were very helpful. My only negative comments are 1) it is an older place so the upstairs can get warm even when the AC is running (this would not be an issue in winter, of course) and the showers can leak so the floors are kind of soft. This is not a show stopper at all, but just wanted to pass the info along And 2) the location is okay. It is an older part of town, and there is a large dog across the street. I think the neighborhood is slowly improving, I noticed lots of renovations and new work on houses. So I would definitely stay there again, for sure, especially with a large group and the great hosts, but I would just not spend much time outside.
