The house was safe, clean, and no frills, just want we needed as a home base while visiting family in the area. It’s not a super luxury beachfront property that you’d expect to spend all day in, it’s a typical Florida home a few blocks from the beach and a great downtown area with a market, several restaurants and bars, surf shops and more.
I’ve been running through VRBO for many years now. And this was by far the best communication with an owner I’ve ever had. They went above and beyond to answer all my questions. Before enduring our stay.
The rental location is outstanding very close proximity to beach. Home met our needs and was clean. It was a bit dated decor but served purpose. Small issue on arrival as code VRBO provided was outdated but owner was terrific in communication to solve
as code sent by VRBO was outdated
Great place! So close to the beach. They have bikes, a wagon , and other beach things you can use.Washer and dryer worked great!Only cons are having to cross the road after early morning hours cause it gets busy and there is no cross walk. There are 2 bathrooms but are located only up stairs. Other than that the house was great. Also has privacy fence all around it.
NICE PLACE ONLY HAS ONE PARKING SPACE. BUT THEY ACCOMDATED FOR ONE MORE. SAID 2 BATHS SO I THOUGHT IT MEANT 2 SHOWERS.
BUT FOR THE PRICE IT WAS GOOD

BLOOD on sheets and towels. No exhaust fan on the stove so they removed all the smoke dectectors. The grill looks like they found it in the trash. The shower was so bad my guest would not use it. I BEGGED VRBO for help but no assistance was given. I begged VRBO

Thank you for your review Arthur. I’m sorry you had a bad experience staying at our place. I tried accommodating your needs by opening the other area with a bedroom and bathroom at no extra cost so your wife would not have to go upstairs to use the bathroom. The smoke alarms had been taken down by a guest because of chirping so we had our cleaning lady come to put in new batteries and put them up. She said you were not allowing her to do so and you were using foul language. However, your wife was very kind enough to allow her to come in. She also cleaned the barbecue. Also, when I tried getting in touch with you to allow the cleaning lady to come, you would not respond to any of my messages, so I just told my cleaning lady to go over. At that point, she noticed many people staying there and a dog in the house. The kitchen was renovated but we were not able to get someone to install the Rangehood. The wire is capped and it’s near the ceiling. I’m glad you loved the location when I first spoke to you and with all the efforts on our part to make the place pleasant you kept looking for different things. If it weren’t for your kind wife, my cleaning lady was very much scared of you and would not complete the tasks that were given.

The amenities that were available for us to use was great: the bicycles, skim board, boogie boards, kayaks, beach wagon all these things that my grandkids could use saved us time and money. The accomadations were so comfortable, house stayed cool through the florida heat days and location: 15.7 miles from Sebastian Inlet direct drive saved time and gas!!! Thank you for a wonderful time.
Does need one more bathroom downstairs for convenience, loved tge outside shower for washing after going to the beach. Have recommended this property to my friends. Thank you again!

Part our issues were just related to timing and the weather. We departed a day early since there was no power and I flight had been cancelled. Other issues related to the property however I did not contact the property manager.

Hi Susan. I’m so sorry to hear that. I’m thankful that hurricane Milton did not hit the house and that you are all safe. I didn’t know about the power outage. We would have let you stay longer because your flight was canceled. Any feedback is welcome so we can improve things. We are slowly trying to do renovations one room at a time.

Not ready for renting
Was not really ready to rent out. Bathroom faucets were in need of replacing, shower floor and door dirty, window blinds were in bad shape, moldy smell throughout. Messy yard. Just overall not a very comfortable place to relax. Painting crew came two days, early in AM to paint outside trim also.

Old, unmaintained, noisey, but good location
If you are used to an updated or in-good-condition place, this is not that. It is a strange layout. The ONLY shower is upstairs, in between the 2 bedrooms. It is moldy and old with a terrible shower head. And, the shower door leaks, so they put a gross curtain in there, too. The ONLY toilets are upstairs on either side of shower. One toilet might be leaking because the area around the toilet smells. The sinks /faucets area is probably original to the house and are corroded. The other issue is the main bedroom closet is unusable. It smells so horrible. The parents of the owner were in the apartment the first few days, and they tried to spray bleach to help, but it did not work. The downstairs is OK. The layout there is fine. The kitchen is good enough, but there is unprotected electrical wire protruding from the wall where the cooking vent should have been. The laundry is in the shared garage and fine.We also had cockroaches to greet us every morning. There is an attached apartment on the front side which had absolutely ZERO insulation from this unit. There is zero privacy when someone is staying there. You can hear everything from either side. Luckily, the upstairs is protected from the sound from the apartment. However, not from the road noise, which is a lot.All of the toys, like bikes, are rusted, too. The owners are nice enough, but they need to update the description. Had we not been desperate for a place to stay, we would have run away.
