A perfect location!

We were in town visiting our daughter who attends Catholic University. The location of this rental cannot be beat! It’s in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood with a short 5-6 minute walk to the DuPont Circle Metro Station. We enjoyed the full kitchen and made a few of our meals “in.” We will definitely be back!

Honest listing

No frills, solid property. Nicely decorated basement unit with well-stocked kitchen and W/D. Unit is close to DuPont Metro red line and about a 15 min. walk to Foggy Bottom blue line.

B as in basement

We had no way to know that unit B was in the basement. The unit was well worn. The unit could definitely use an update. To get to the unit, you had to go into an alcove where the garbage bins are kept. The neighborhood was beautiful. No complaints there Supplies provided were adequate at best. Advertised that there was tea/coffee on site...but tea package said it expired in 2005 (we were there in April 2022) . There were 3 of us staying for 5 nights. We were provided with 3 towels and 3 washcloths. Owner was initially very friendly until we had a laundry mishap while washing said towels. We had to launder the towels and the white towels came out of laundry with a grayish tinge. Owners proceeded to charge us to replace them. Certainly left a sour taste in my mouth.

A less than average experience

PROS Location: close to Smithsonian and lots of restaurant choices, and in a quiet neighborhood. CONS In need of updating: Front entryway is dark, creepy and smells bad; needs more comfortable living room furniture (too hard), and add a couple of lamps for softer lighting; bedroom needs a TV and better mattress (ended up with a sore back). Also, since it’s listed to accommodate up to 6 people, needs a larger dining table/chairs in the living room. It would also be challenging to have six people in the apartment with a single bathroom that is very small. Overall, the appearance feels like a poorly completed do it yourself project with only the cheapest basic furnishings provided.

Great location

Apartment was as described and perfectly fine for two adults. Proximity to nearest Metro was a short walk and the neighborhood itself was very quiet at night. Would stay here again!

Perfect for our 5 day biking vacation!

The location of Tony & Tommy's apartment was just right for biking DC. It's a three minute pedal to the Rock Creek trail which will take you north to the zoo or south to the national mall and all of the tourist attractions. It's also a short walk to numerous restaurants and bars in and around Dupont Circle; the neighborhood is nice and quite safe. There is a small grocery store just around the corner on P street that's very convenient. Tony & Tommy were there to greet us on arrival and explain everything we needed to know about the unit which was a help. The unit is clean, comfortable and equipped with pretty much everything you need. We had no problem cooking meals in the apartment on the nights we were to beat to hit a restaurant. The best feature was the optional parking right behind the unit. It was a must-have for us given our daily need for access to our vehicle and bikes. It's not included in the rental fee but well worth the extra cost in our case. Thanks Tony & Tommy!

Location, Location, Location

My husband and I rented this apartment for 4 nights in October. It is very well equipped with everything you need, The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of cutlery, dishes, appliances etc. The living space of the apartment is comfortable enough. The bedroom has lots of closet space and is fairly spacious. The best part of this apartment is the location. Beautiful , quiet street which is situated within walking distance of many restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Easy walking to most of the major sites (National Mall) and just a quick walk to the Metro. The owner was very helpful and made great suggestions for restaurants and gave us tips to help make our visit to Washington memorable.

Great Location in DC

This basement (NO SHOES ALLOWED) apartment has plenty of room for 3 people. Its location is super with lots of take out food options and great restaurants + the metro nearby. Its not a place to engage in serious meal prep/serving as the only table rests in the living area & there is little counter space. Bed is not super comfortable. The apartment is very clean. We did not have cable one night as the "dish" went down. Friendly and helpful owners.

Great apartment in great area of city!

My husband and I truly enjoyed staying at this apartment in a wonderful part of Washington. In walking distance to everything and some wonderful restaurants in the area. Tony was very welcoming and gave us lots of great information regarding the city. Furnishings are a little sparse, but everything you really need is available. It was very clean and perfect for a couple. Would highly recommend this property.

A great home base for an extended stay.

This apartment is well-situated near the DuPont Circle Metro stop. The unit was spacious for the three of us (two adults, one child) and having a kitchen was very helpful (for breakfasts and storing doggie bags from nearby restaurants). We also appreciated the washer and dryer. The unit was well-furnished including little things like coffee filters in the kitchen and umbrellas by the entry way. The owner was helpful in providing initial information to get oriented; but, we had a good idea of the lay-out since we're former residents from Virginia. I would recommend this property for visitors who want a central location, have a good idea of what they want to do in D.C., will rely on public transportation and who appreciate the convenience of snacking/eating in.
